@@dantralius9269 Yeah, that's true. I did remember they gave a lot of added time in that Spain versus Costa Rica game whereas I thought they may as well just call it a day after 90 minutes. Think Spain even scored their seventh goal in that added time. So obviously it does depend on the situation. If one party is up by 3 or more goals over the other party, you may well just end it after 90 minutes. But if there's still all to play for, then go ahead with those 10+ minute added times.

Group E was the most entertaining group during the tournament. When all 4 teams still had a shot of going through, it provided so much tension and drama showing the true magic of the World Cup.

Hello! Interesting trivia - we - Croatia is the country with the smallest pop. among the last 16 by far. We have a pop. of 3.8 mil. and Japan has 125 mil. The US has 331 mil. Brasil 250 mil. The closest to Croatia are Switzerland at 8.6 and Portugal at 10.3. Also, we played the Olympic finals against the Dream Team in basketball, Tony Kukoc for the Chicago Bulls, won the Davis Cup, won Wibledon, won Roland Gaross, won the US Open, had the best female ski competitor in the world, handball world and Olympic champs, waterpolo European and Olympic champs, multiple boxing champs, Mirko Crocop for MMA. The USMNT's best player Pulisic is of Croatian decent, as well as former MMA heavyweight champ Miocic, and Bill Belichick. I could go on but it'd be too long.

Honorable mentions(imho): Ecuador robbed against Netherlands (no offside goal). Brazil, France and Portugal had a ''B'' team on last match of group stages. Szczęsny was a beast and the big reason Poland classified in 2nd.

we always seem to be carried by our goalies lol. The Euro 2016 quarterfinal run was totally on the back of Fabiański. I'm glad Szczęsny got his moment of fame, he had bad luck in the national team before, sent off and dropped in 2012 and injured in 2016 (and th entire team was an embarrassment to football itself in 2018). But he was clearly the player who carried us to the knockouts, no way we do it otherwise

🤯I didn't realize the Saudi Arabian goal against Mexico didn't matter!!! I thought it meant Mexico needed two goals (not one) to pass!!! I don't think anyone in Mexico knew this. The morale nosedived after their goal and even the commentators were saying their goodbyes to the world cup right after it happened. Crazy to think that a single goal would have brought up Mexico to second place because of Goals Scored 🤯🤯🤯

14:21 Switzerland and Serbia do not hate each other. The problem is more that Serbia, Kosovo and Albania don't really get along (complicated and hateful past). Now Switzerland has a few players with a Kosovo/Albanian background. And the fact that provocations regularly come from these and Serbian players makes such games very charged and sometimes also (intentionally or unintentionally) political. (For example, the eagle gesture with the hands during the goal celebration in the last encounter).

@@StijndeLaat It's humanly impossible. If he was an AI then it was possible. U can stream 2 matches in the same time on 2 screens but humans won't be able to see the 2 watches in the same time. When ur watch will be on 1 screen u can't concentrate on the other screen. Yes if it's a goal or foul or card, u will be immediately be able to see the replay but the when u r watching the whole match u can't concentrate on 2 screens. If u try to do that, u won't be able to watch any single match properly.

Sweden's women's team is literally like European women version of Brazil's men's team that's how stupidity good the Swedish women's team is. Sweden's women's team has never missed a quater final a women's world cup. Our women's national team has 3 bronze medals and one silver medals for the women's world cup when the first women's world cup was in 1991 is freakingly good. In the women's European championship Sweden women's team has 1 gold 3 silver and 5 bronze medals. First women's European championship was in 1984. Sweden's women's national team also has 2 Olympic silver medals. Sweden's women team infact is ranked 2:nd in the world and deservingly so. Our womens team qualified for the women's world cup 2023 after winning every single qualifying match and coming out with maximum amount of points.

@@Ty__e I wanna say that brazilians who can speak a second language have more education than the general population, so we try to write as correct as possible(hence commas), but if you understood portuguese and read comments in out language, you’d see how many of us don’t use any punctuation at all and it sucks to read their writing.
