Back in the 80’s and 90s some of the most popular songs were done on cheap equipment and very few tracks It’s not about all this technology it’s about how to put something really good out

Finneas is such a smart, thoughtful person. I love listening to him talk. And of course, I love listening to his productions. His mastery of low end and space are second to none.

As a logic user, getting to dive into the Ocean Eyes demo project was INSANE!! They even kept all of Billie’s vocal takes and there are like 40 of them at least

For me it was such an inspiration to find out Finneas and Eilish recorded and produced mega-successful songs in small bedroom! I mean, there are no excuses...

We need more videos like this, this was motivational. Also Let me know when you send the email and VIP Video, and I just started the vocal course and I really like the instrumental stems for your song, sounds sick!

I didn’t understand the first step?
@ProducingInTheBox
@ProducingInTheBox Месяц назад
I linked the full video in the description. Definitely go watch it. Essentially, the vocals act like chords. Multiple notes in key = chord. Chord data can come from anything. Finneas chooses to use vocal harmonies along side the melody to fill out the progression.

Could you expand on the first step? It's not clear what the practical application of the concept is. There's multiple harmonies in her melody, then what?
@ProducingInTheBox
@ProducingInTheBox Месяц назад
I linked the full video in the description. But in the comments here, that’s basically what it means. Multiple harmonies alongside her melody creates chords. Multiple notes at once creates a chord. Actually, just 3 notes is required to make a chord. 2 for a power chord if it’s 5ths. By having the vocals carry a lot of the weight of the chord data, it frees up room in the track.

@@ProducingInTheBox Two years as a "bedroom producer". But, been a lover of music for over 50 years 😊🤘 Always wanted my own studio, and since it's now so easy to do, and relatively inexpensive, I decided to just go for it!!.
