What I find great to compare between this movie and the first X-Men movie was how Hugh Jackman came into the roll. Compare his rage scream at the end of this video to the one he gave at Sabre-tooth in X-Men. It's night and day really showing how he became Logan more then merely playing the part.

@@reveredokay I really think that it metal inside his body that posioning him. That makes his healing factor work over time. That is what killing him not corn syrup. The corn syrup suppress the X-gene of children of mutants not the mutants themselves.

I believe now that Logan's healing factor maybe reduced after living for so long and getting so many big injuries. Since humans are technically humans with extraordinary genetic make ups. Regular humans have a naturally healing factor. And the corn syrup could possibly killing mutants along with suppressing the mutant gene because how intertwined is this mutant gene to DNA to kill the body is another thing, but what if the corn syrup was never engineered to suppress but to kill the mutants?

@@sophiawilson8696 his healing powers made him immune to mostly everything including metal poisoning (that means rust that came from his adamantium bones) But the corn syrup caused his Genes to mutate and that mutation suppressed his healing factor. and now that His Healing factor is not the same as before due to his DNA mutation, he is now more vulnerable to diseases (such as Metal Poisoning). so yes the metal in his body is killing him BECAUSE of the corn syrup that caused his genes to mutate

Well he spotted it but its a bad explanation. Wounds don't "come back", however, due to the reduced effectiveness of his healing factor, it didn't heal properly, and scar tissue would induce a limp. Similarly, as we age, we "feel" old wounds "return", when they are just injuries we tolerated but either left scar tissue or caused particular weaknesses that showed up later on.

I know. That one I didn't like. When he was shot in 'the Wolverine', he could still heal, so he shouldn't have a limp in 'Logan'. It's like if he was suffering from radiation poisoning. He survived a nuclear bomb's explosion after all.

What makes Logan movie even sadder is, Logan longed for some company that will last as long as he does. When no one came close, he accepted his fate and finally accepted death...but on the death bed he meets someone who is immortal as he is and to someone he can shower all the love in world, but alas, he had to die...what a tragedy.

I watched this movie in theater twice.... I cried like a freaking baby both times... I watch this video...and damn it I have tears in my eyes. THIS was a beautiful, glorious, absolutely amazing way to play a character for the last time. This is a comic book movie with more emotional impact than some movies lately that were written to be emotionally impactful from the core.

Just noticed in the section about Logan’s alcoholism, the scene pans to his left side and you see a TV up above (2:47). A commercial with the word Canewood is there. That is in reference to the Canewood Beverages - who the corrupt ranchers of the area are working for.

I was strongly under the impression of the scene in the Wolverine, "You'll be holding your own heart in your hands," that that was when he goes into the room where Yoshido was and cuts himself open, reaches inside (to his heart) to pull the nasty bug thing out. This is followed by his heart stopping beating, implying death, with his heart in his hand. His healing factor then brought him back to life.

@@G3-7162 I disagree. Laura did not need to hold Logan's hand to make that scene emotional. I think the death scene in the Logan movie was an hommage to the death vision in Wolverine 2. And that connection makes the death scene much more emotional and meaningful than it already is. And since every Marvel movie hides a lot of easter eggs and references to other movies, why should this scene not be an easter egg or a reference? If you don't want to see it that way, fine. But I stick to it: Wolverine did indeed die with his heart in his hand!

Alright, now I gotta find the whole quote. "I saw you die in a room like this with your heart in your hands" I legitimately do not see how this can mean anything else besides in THAT film. Also, this was before DoFP, in which everything changes, and renders all of the other events null and void. Also, the words "in a room" don't exactly help your case either

This movie had very nicely thought-out details that most people wouldn’t even notice. Also, it just occurred to me that given his healing factor, I would assume it would be very difficult to get intoxicated since alcohol is essentially a poison. I know his healing factor was compromised at this point but he was always known to enjoy alcohol- I bet he had to drink Herculean amounts to even get a buzz

In the detail on number 19 McCoy isn’t the only one who thought of this theory within Marvel, because in the first episode of agents of shield’s last season where the character Deke talks about the same theory of time travel to Daisy, Mack, Coulson. Deke also mentions in his theory that if you throw too much sticks into the puddle instead of ripples you get waves or end up changing something huge. Maybe the X-Men just need to make more of a difference in order for them to have a future where they don’t get hunted down, although it would be dangerous.

I noticed that in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Stryker shot 5 admantium bullets to Logan out of the 6 in the revolver so, one was left. That gun and bullet were used in Logan 2017. A nice continuity detail.

I feel like the seeing his death in the wolverine being applied to logan is a forced stretch by the producer since that was more of a nod to him literally dying on the table while pulling a parasite from his heart. More of a "hehe two birds with one stone, why not?" Sort of thing. Or a JK Rowling "this is a nice coincidence the fans pointed out so ill just pretend it was my idea" thing

@@aarionmitchell6413 She described it like looking through a keyhole: not getting a full picture, but being able to see several details that she knew to be true. If the prophesy was written, that interpretation might make sense, but she claimed to see his death, so it would not make any sense for her to be seeing a little girl and still fear for Logan's life. I don't know if anyone really cares, but that reality was reset in Future Past.
