I Watched The Battle of Christophsis in 0.25x Speed and Here's What I Found

Also sorry in advance I'm a huge fan of star wars due to being an identical triplets (means my brothers and I are clones of each other by definition as our dna is identical I used to love the clones in part because of this) Anyway those can droids you see pop up are used for lifting large amounts of rock and are often used to help move escalated ground around Separatist key points to help fortify them from blaster fire. Afterwhich they'd go hide in the tunnels made by the escalation and just stick their Annette through and up above (the anntene have the ability to charge their tip with plasma allowing them to bore through rock). The reason they look like cans as well is because they could fold up Their bodies inside to better protect them from the elements when they're dormant underground. The octuptara droids are different from revenge of the sith the ones gracious uses are about 9ft tall antipersonnel tarras whose role was primarily to spot targets allowing battle droid fire to be greatly improved upon single targets. They fired sniper shots. The ones used here however (and on Kamini in revenge of the sith against kiadimundi) are deployment octuptara whose main roles were antibattery weapons (they used their hight combined with an upsized sniper rifle to target antivehicle batteries allowing the actual tanks and main forces to move in. They were later adapted to be able to shoot biohazards such as gas, or plagues through/over defenses the republic had allowing their bases to rot from the inside assuring an easy win that would take a few days. The octuptara droids in both cases were made to be cheap disposable shock troops meat to weaken dug-in forces of the republic and thus were only really seen at the start of battles which is why we don't see them more often even though they were extremely common. They were some of the cheapest vehicle units the CIS could muster essentially being just three legs three guns a single droid brain and a large orb to contain the tibanna gas used as ammo (fun fact early in the war if a droid deployed with these ran out of gas it could go to one of these droids to refill their blaster packs! However when the republic realized you could do this and began harvesting the gas from downed tarras the CIS changed it so they'd blowup upon disablement as to prevent the republic from gaining ammo. Fun fact #2: In the episode "Hidden Enemy", yet another clone attempts to punch a B1. This ends about as well as you'd expect, with another clone death. Ironically, this is also technically during the battle of Christophsis.

@@VadersFist95 yeah Ik slick blew up most of the AT-TE but when slick blew up those ones they were on fire and crashed on the ground. This one is standing up and dosent look damaged. So maybe slick disabled it another way or it was one of the few tanks that slick didn’t destroy.

Or maybe as a line of defence to stop enemy tanks getting through

Now that I think about it, it would not be a bad idea to put bayonets on the blasters in case the battle ends up being melee.

I mean, they had to protect their canons. Those canons are the only things holding that place. Obi Wan even said that they must not fail their canons. So in order to stop those battle droids comming near the canons, they had no choice but to face them head on for having gasp between canons and droids as big as possible.

That makes sense, a medic doesn't have spend time assessing every downed trooper on the field, and I'd assume hundreds of clones would get injured every engagement from what we see in the movie and show

The troopers right hand was also checking the injured clones pulse.

Its maybe another clone, if I'm right, it may be a different clone officer, remember that in the early stages of the war, the clone officers wear a distinctive yellow stripes in his armor, by the end of it the legions and the whole army have distinctive colors and characteristics, being a example the 212 with Obi Wan and the 501 with Anakin

However, we do see blue being used to represent 501st here at 2:56 unless they are supposed to be Lieutenants

Unless they forgot the dots on the left side of the chest, I think their company troopers (Torrent being blue, orange being ghost company) You see them with rex before they jetpack down to engage the tri droid

This may put a smile on your face, but at least one this battle was confirmed to be still canon. Mace windu’s battle of Dantooine was refensed by ki-ad mundi as said that the majority it windu’s forces were wounded which match what happened

@Dr. Cool Of course the battle of Coruscant would be canon; anything in movies Disney can't make non-canon (though I'm sure Kennedy will keep trying) Given how many times Grievous has lost against other Council members like Kenobi, Fisto and Koth, the only reason I can think of him beating Shaak Ti was she was probably coming down with a case of COVID. (That may sound ridiculous, but I point out how under Disney, Star Wars has gotten ridiculous; from SJW droids that somehow have sex with humans, to the Death Star somehow being 2/3rds intact and having crashed landed on another planet despite being in Endor's orbit)

I think it's just a desperate 'last charge' diversion plan so that Anakin's squad can take down the Tri droids, since they're clearly are the biggest threat.

A lot of the early CW battles we see involve both sides just charging across open fields at one another, without even attempting to use cover or tactics.

Likely taken to be deactivated and taken apart to see if any improvements have been made to the model or programing, or even for weapons testing to see if the new weapons are up to taking on B2 armour. From a strategic point of view having intact droids could do wonders to R&D during the war.
