Alby is the leader of the group. Newt is his second in command. Thats why he was in charge when Alby was hurt. Gally is high ranking but not like 3rd in command or anything. But he was able to use fear to get a bunch of the guys behind him and take over power from Newt while Alby was knocked out.

The reason sector seven was still open was because the grieved from sector seven never returned because it was killed, so once the brought the device back to the grieved hole I registered as the grieved coming back, resulting in the maze closing off 7

Maze Runner is definitely one of the better YA dystopian fiction adaptations. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Dylan almost died making the third movie. He was in a terrible accident on set. Hollywood seems to be very unsafe in many ways. Love and Monsters is a great movie, it's probably your cup of tea.

I still think that the movie would have been 10x better if they made Thomas and that girl siblings rather than lovers. I feel like it would’ve made the emotions stronger and make viewers understand more why Thomas kept going back to (I forgot her name) if they were siblings because people do everything they can to help their siblings, but because they became more of lovers a lot of viewers are like what is he doing? Why is he doing that for a girl that he doesn’t really know? So, I really think it would have been much more better if they were siblings because I as a sibling would’ve done everything to protect my brother, but a girl that I really don’t know? Nah, I’m good.

In one of the prequels books "the Fever Code", it is revealed that Theresa never lost her memories. She had been pretending the whole time. She was always siding with WICKED. Oh, and Newt's sister is one of the girls we meet in The Scorch Trials. Of course, this was never a thing in the films, but it adds so much to the books. The books are so good! I remember listening to the audiobook of the first Maze Runner book back in college, and it was so thrilling. The scene where the grievers attack the boys in the Glade and the Gladers were trying to hide from the creatures in the darkness, I could barely breathe. It was like I was hiding too. And the description of the grievers in the book....so eerie. A lot of differences between the books and the films, but the movies did such a great job capturing the brotherhood and friendships of the boys as well as the girls (Brenda in the second book is a fantastic character, as well as her companion Jorge). I am so glad you're watching the movies!! Beware of the Cranks though. They be creepy!

Definitely looking forward to watching this commentary reaction. This first movie is my absolute favorite of "The Maze Runner" trilogy. Billy's covered "Twilight", "The Hunger Games", and now the "Harry Potter" & "The Maze Runner" book to movie adaptations. 😊 I highly recommend the "Divergent" movie trilogy. #Bingers

Not so fun fact: when they were Filming the third installment the death cure, Dylan aka Thomas had a terrible accident on set and pretty much broke his face.

I enjoyed The Maze Runner Trilogy. Thomas-Brodie Sangster did an awesome job as Newt. Plus he was best known for voicing Ferb in Phineas & Ferb.

I really liked reading the books, it really explains a lot. I haven’t seen the movie so I don’t know how well they explain things in the movies but the backstory is fascinating

I cant wait to see your reaction! I loved this series but I could never see how there were Katniss/Thomas comparisons when Katniss(catalina) didn’t have a choice to play the games. Thomas(hp) put himself in those situations and REFUSED to sit down somewhere. 😭❤️

One of my favorite things in movies is when they give at least ONE character some really realistic psychology. Like how the human brain would _actually work_ in real life if that really happened. And in this movie, I think that's GALLY. I think most people would admit that there are two camps of humans in this area. There are those that can react well in a panic situation or under pressure or fear, and can lead others out of those situations and actually save lives. The mentally tough. But there are also lots of humans who simply aren't mentally tough like that. It's a _reality_ that a lot of people, when faced with pain or torture or isolation or immense fear, simply mentally crumple under it, capitulate, and reform their reality so that they BELIEVE that this is the reality now. Because they can't handle it. I rarely, rarely see that depicted realistically in films like this -- except in Gally. He _really does_ believe that they can't eave. That the maze is their home now. Because his psyche can't handle the constant whiplash of change and uncertainty. So his subconscious was like "nope. We're staying here now. Can't handle it. Lockdown. We were always happy here anyway. Can't change. No change. Change bad." Which makes Gally's character both realistic and tragic. I really feel for him. His brain simply couldn't handle it. That's not his fault. He broke. The maze broke him.

This is the funniest Maze Runner reaction video I have ever seen somehow Billy just made it hilarious. The "We're all in this together" made me want to scream because Newt ended up saying that later but Billy didn't add it in so I was kinda disappointed but none the less, I loved this!

Your so consistent! When do you find the time to film these? I try but it’s hard.

Never read the books but I watched this movie and loved it a lot. I was so intrigued by the mystery of the world, but when they start answering questions it kinda falls apart for me, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to enjoy it. Definitely see the next 2 so you can see for yourself wether you enjoy them.

This is to this day one of my favourite book series, I've read them in a couple days, it wasn't even in my language so i have 2 books in my native language and other 3 in english (sequel and the 2 prequels). I think they did a very good job with the movies up until the last one.

The main character, that guy, he was seriously injured on either #2 or #3, (pretty sure he suffered a serious long-term head injury from being sort of run over whilst doing his own stuntwork). He's got amazing comedic timing, he did 6 seasons of Teen Wolf the MTV show. He had to be on hiatus for a long time to relearn how to do things again, and it's part of why so many folks were angry at the franchise (The Maze Runner). He wasn't barely able to show up for the last half of his last season of Teen Wolf because he was hurt doing Maze Trials #2 (Teen Wolf divided their seasons in half which made it hard to know if you were on the right season, all the time). This character let us see his dramatic chops.

Love the animated intro! I read the first book in the series and didn't continue but I saw all the movies and they are entertaining but the plot doesn't make a lot of sense. I say just go with the flow and expect not to get any good answers to your questions lol. I really liked the first movie but the second movie was my fave, with a lot of great action.

The first maze runner movie is still my favorite out of all three movies and books. The movies jump the shark starting scorch trials and the books are fine to me but never really great. This one is probably the only part of the maze runner series I enjoy revisiting. Which is sad because all of this had so much potential and I love what the movie did with the first book.

My class read this book in 10th grade (I loved Teen Wolf prior to that, the actor who plays Thomas plays one of the main characters on TW, so when my teacher said we'd watch the movie after finishing I was so excited). In the books Thomas and Teresa can communicate with each other telepathically
