@@darieandennison2635 if you watched The Purge: Election Year you’d see that there’s military in front of banks and government buildings who shoot anyone who even tries to get near the premises with snipers. Plus I don’t think the government is dumb enough to leave all of the countries money just sitting in the bank on the most dangerous night of the year. They probably transfer it somewhere so you’d be doing all that planning for nothing. Everyone in America would be in debt and homeless if that were the case and then no one would be able to pay the government taxes or pay any rent lmao. Every big companied store would also have extensive security in front and nearby it so planning on robbing anyone would be pointless and you’d get killed by simply just attempting. Plus if you’re a woman, I’d suggest not being out on the streets on purge night at all, that’s when all the r*pists would be out.

Even if she wanted to trust her boyfriend she should have the common sense to maybe question his motives for him to sneak in to the house on THE PURGE to finally confront her dad. And then proceeds to play “hide and go seek” afterwards. I’m just saying her actions are very questionable.

The intent of the purge is unfortunately to target exactly those people. Society is not purging it's darkest impulses or for their personal needs, it's purging perceived strains on society. its just easier to make palatable if you say its All crime instead of open season on the homeless, the poor, minorities, the lower classes, etc. Watch The First Purge if you havent yet. Also, certain government officials are exempt form Purge night (tho this appears to have changed late in the franchise in the year 2040) and while they could ofc still be murdered, the person doing the killing coudl still be charged as it is still considered against the few rules of Purge Night, so its basically only rich people vs normal folks. Edit: Also as we see here, typically the wealthier they are, the better protected they are, once again leaving only the disadvantaged as possible targets.
