The parents are married in real life. The guy who plays the husband wrote the script. The acrress who plays the daughter is deaf in real life.

The difference in the actress between The Devil Wears Prada and this film is gigantic! you see a real actress who can make me like her character, no matter the film.

This is the kind of thing I like to see in a horror movie. It has a lot of intensity and it keeps me wondering how the characters are gonna stay alive.

The Quiet Place 2 is cool because it shows how the day of the attack when the aliens came happened in that small town. It also picks up right with the same family and what they do after the father died. A Quiet Place Day One (with the super talented Lupita) is about the day of the attack in a big city. Try keeping that quiet

Her stepping on that nail brought back some flashbacks for me cause I know that pain 😂 I somehow was able to stay quiet too. I tried to hide the fact that it happened because I thought I would get in trouble (grandparents were strict and I didn't want them to think I was playing around) my twin sister ended up seeing the blood on my sock that I doubled up try to hide it 😂

I remember watching this in theatre and my best friend snuck some snacks in.... idk why she thought carrots and celery were a good idea. The whole theatre is silent, you could literally hear a pin drop... and my best friend is sitting there beside me chomping away on carrots and celery 🤨 I just know she would not survive a day 😂

Agree with Billy about the way the family walks. The way we grew up, mom led the way, kids were in the middle, and dad was in the back. Who puts the family baby in the back? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ That said, this is one of my favorite horror franchises in recent history. Soooo good. Edit: The reason they didn't shoot when the creatures' ears weren't exposed is because their skin is armor. They can only hurt them when their "soft tissue" is exposed.

Man this movie was it. Saw it in the theater with my family and the whole place was quiet. We was even chewing popcorn slow so we wouldn’t make noise 😂😂😂😂

I like your intros, short or long. The short one was perfect for this. I think, the answer to why the littlelest boy tagged along in back was that the family was almost 4 months into the situation and they'd begun to feel safer, and that they were on top of things. Also, the idea maybe they thought the daughter had him in sight. The daughter is wearing a hearing device called a cochlear implant, which is an implant to help someone who is profoundly deaf to hear. Except that hers was broken, and she didn't even realize it until the rest of the family reacted to the sound of the rocket - she couldn't hear it. Her dad was trying to fix the implant down in his workshop, which was almost impossible to do,its an extremely sophisticated piece of equipment. It wouldn't pick up sound anymore, just feed back squeal if you turned it up. She turned it off in the truck because the feed back hurt. I am very hard of hearing in one ear and deaf in the other one and wear a hearing aid, and yes, feedback squeal HURTS.* That knifes right through your head even when you can't hear other sounds. The most common range of hearing loss is in the range of human speach. And yeah, horrific monsters killing people....and NONE of us have recovered from that nail yet!!! Omg. Great reaction! Thank you! And i can tell you are an awesome dad and husband! *I was born this way, btw, birth defect. I use a cranked up Bluetooth to listen to things. 👍🏻

Literally, this is one of those movies where, it doesn't matter if I'm watching it or watching somebody watching it... there is something about it that makes me bawl my eyes out. It's sooooo well done on emotions, and they STILL hit.

So, as far as being barefoot, it allows you to have more control over the postioning of your foot as it hits the ground. Couple that with the sand trails, and it would allow you to move much quieter.

Those things were too hard to kill unless they opened up their heads or ears I think. They had such sensitive hearing that the sound from the cochlear implant hurt them enough to expose themselves and a gun could kill them

It is a horror film, but what it excels at best is the realism. The story of this family is struggling not just to survive but to live. Live with the death of the son/brother. Be whole as a family. To express love without doubt. I'm not into horror movies, but the Quiet Place franchise is incredible, IMO.

I'm not really a horror movie type of person, but this movie is just amazing. I probably watched this movie at least 3x in theaters. It is a fantastic movie no matter what, but it is full on immersive in a theater. I'm glad to hear you're going to do the second one. Would you consider doing the prequel? (I think it's just about out of theater now).

I think the use of the silence in this movie is what really makes it good. Not only do you feel immersed into the world they're experiencing but it captures the suspense and fear too.
