Fun fact: Danny elfman was in charge of everything related to music in the movie( to my knowledge), he wrote the songs, and they could not find a singing voice for jack, so Tim burton asked Danny elfman to provide the singing voice. Your video make me laugh, amazing content 😄

What blows my mind still about this movie is it is all claymation and practical effects. All clay. No crazy tech. They have a “making of” that is also worth watching just to see how they did all this with clay

my town has a really cool tradition, though its not a christmas tradition. Its called the Zombie Walk, where every year hundreds of people get dressed up to the MAX as zombies and walk throughout the town. Its actually in August, and the story behind it is really fun. This group of friends got together and organized a massive prank for their friends birthday, getting a ton of people to dress up like zombies. Im not sure how, but eventually it became a town tradition!

The music was written AND PERFORMED by Danny Elfman. He is one of the most incredible composers out there and he loved this movie so much that he ended up providing the singing voice for Jack. It's so fun to watch in reunions and stuff him singing it. Also it's not a flop video from you, it was WONDERFUL as a huge fan of this movie to watch you enjoy it for the first time. It's such a good film.

I found your channel right around when my mom passed away and you have helped me get through some very hard times. My first stop motion movie. I remember seeing the trailer as a little kid and I was just fascinated. The animation was so creepy but it was something new and I thought it looked cool so I begged my mom to see it. The shrunken head got me too! 😂

My daughter performed yesters in honors choir, for a tree lighting. My grandmas block are the psychopaths that collaborate with each other on decorations. Like theyll have Santa's sleigh going back and forth between light post, and so many lights you have to bord up the windows just to sleep. Its so bright, but beautiful!

All Jack and them know is Halloween. He doesn't have the Christmas spirit. His gifts were all scary and creepy because, well, he's the Pumpkin King 🎃 he wasn't necessarily TRYING to be scary. He just IS 😂😂

believe it or not, this is one of my favorite commentaries you’ve done. I could actually see you enjoying yourself and even though there’s a lot of music, you did a great job with the editing. as for this movie being for kids: I was 10 when this movie came out and it didn’t scare me one bit. I think it just depends on the kid and their sensibilities. some kids might find it a tad scary but others might just find it spooky but fun (like me!). anyway, happy holidays Billy! ❤️

Really hope you're gonna watch Wendell and Wild at some point, it's the same director as Coraline and Nightmare Before Christmas, and Jordan Peele produced it. It's a weird movie but it has a lot of love in it, and the soundtrack slaps hard.

Stacking dolls= Babushkas (Babushka means Grandmother in Russian, I think the name is related to the older doll being the grandmother and as you unstack you end up with the tiny ones being the children.)

My Family don’t live in a very Christmassy village but we do live in a village that has an annual 1940s weekend every June/July. All the adults dress up, run stalls, do re-enactments. All the shops and pubs get involved. There’s a parade

A Christmas tradition we had in my house was find the pickle ornament. I guess it was a German tradition. The parents would hide the pickle ornament on the tree. The kid who found it would get the first present.

I watched this as a children, lol. And I fell in love with it! I think for younger kids, it might even help them not be afraid of things they might've feared otherwise. Seeing these scary beings as just people living their lives can be helpful. Maybe that's just me tho, lol. Danny Elfman did the music for this and he provided Jack's singing voice. The music is, for me, what makes this movie so special. And I'm the same as you. Christmas is now my second favorite holiday after Halloween.

For the record, one of the little witches said "you made walls fall, Jack..." Jack Skeletington is the name of the main character, Sally is the doll and Dr. Finklestein (the character in the electric wheelchair) made Sally... ya gotta keep watching to know

It's my all time favorite movie since I was little. From October 1st to January 1st, I watch it with my kids and play the soundtrack in my car. Even trying to get a full Sleeve.

I was 5 when I saw this movie and was obsessed with it~! I love the music and the art style. XD Never once found it to be scary in the least. Even as a child, though, my favorite songs were Jack's Lament and Reprise, but What's This? is such a bop. I bought a reversible Jack Skellington beanie from Disneyland years ago and I wear it every winter. Mad respect to Henry Sellick, who directed the movie. He never gets enough credit.

I live in southern Wisconsin and the town i live in has many traditions. On halloween, they put scarecrows on lightposts that look like monsters or movie characters. This hear I saw Jack Skellington, Chucky, A vampire, etc. Also every holiday there is this one house (really a manor) that is decorated with that holiday regalia. Pumpkins for Halloween, lights for christmas, eggs for easter, etc. That sounds normal except they go overboard with it. Lining every single house surface with pumpkins and putting giant Easter eggs all around each giant fir tree in their yard. The couple is old now so the highschool has students come out every holiday and do the work of putting it all out . Its amazing and wonderful and i hope it never stops

My kids love The Nightmare Before Christmas! I have a video of my son at about a year old pulling himself up to standing using our TV stand as support and he starts bouncing to the song. I love that video so much.

Where I'm from in Georgia, we have this event for Christmas called the magical nights of lights. It's backed by georgia power, but it's this mile or 2 long area decorated with Christmas lights. You drive slowly through it with your raideo tuned in to there specific station to have music play with the scene. At the end of it is a little Christmas village. Completely decorated, selling cookies and coco, photos with Santa, and sometimes even a little fair. Rides n all.

People don't seem to think that Jack can die again but I have theories on HOW he could die. 1. All his bones could be crushed or grinded ino powder. 2. Hot enough fire can burn bones into ashes. 3. Unless preserved properly, over time bones will turn to dust. 4. Burn into cinder if get contact with lava.

I saw this when it came out (I was 3). The only part I remember scaring me was the end when Boogie's string gets pulled and all the bugs fall out. Other than that, i was obsessed with this movie. even remember trying to spell "ZERO" in bed next to my grandma after she read me Berenstain Bears, but i kept saying "X" instead of "Z". A very specific memory, im sorry for my rambling lol.

I grew up obsessed with this movie & my 5 year old is now obsessed with it too. She's getting Jack & Sally Squishmellows for Christmas🤩 She hates watching this movie with me, though, bc I've got the entire script memorized from watching it so many times🤣

One of the traditions my family does is make Christmas candy with each other. It's a way for us to get to bond as a family and keep this a family tradition. Another thing we do is something we started a couple years ago called polar express night where we get together in our pajamas on Christmas Eve, and we all drink hot cocoa as we watch the polar express. It's one of my favorite traditions that we get to do.
