Hi Sophia, I'm here 2 years later lol. I just watched The Farewell. It was so good! I'm in a really weird time in my life now, very emotional. I knew I had to come back to this video when I finished, and I hope you're doing well. ❤️

I watch films by myself a good 97% of the time. Usually I can still find a good spot closer to the movie time as opposed to purchasing tickets in advance so that the group can sit together. A24 is amazing! I really want to go see The Farewell. I was surprised that they were showing it at my local theater.

Most of the films I watched from A24 are fantastic and I so wish they would release The Farewell closer to where I live, but they didn't so I'll have to wait for it on VOD. As for watching films by yourself, it is an interesting experience. The latest time it happened was when I watched Midsommar and funnily enough I was the ONLY person in the theatre. It was very nice. It goes to say, tho, indie films from A24 are not as popular where I live.

Love your review! I saw The Farewell, and I agree with a lot of your thoughts. I loved the dynamic between Awkwafina and her grandma-but there was something that kept me from LOVING it (maybe the lack of plot structure, as you mentioned).

I've been looking out for this movie since my Korean mom put it on my radar a couple weeks ago, but my local theater doesn't look like it's going to play it. ): So they can afford to play Avengers: Endgame for months on end, but they can't bother to screen an artistic film telling a unique Asian-American story?? Yeah, sounds about right. Grr. Rant over.

I remember getting emotional just seeing the trailer, and now I just want to watch the movie even moooore P. S. Love your vlogging style
