I am sure a lot of love went into this video, but Eat the rich is not something I will let slide. This is a slogan promoting hate and even violence towards a group of individuals with no other identifier than their wealth status. It is wrong on many levels and should not be indulged under any circumstances.

See I was 16 when this book came out and I already seen one riot in my city the one being the one in Baltimore in 2015 and I remember being mostly confused because I didn’t understand what made them so mad and then I understood why it was such a big deal

i gave it 3 stars. i kinda liked it but i definitely didn't love it. it was actually quite boring in some parts and the cover and title of the book are misleading.

Thank you I myself am stymied as to why so many people like this book, including, oh, Pulitzer judges. I loved Secret History. I started this (Goldfinch) book and it totally crashed on about page 100, with the incident at the Met. It was totally self-indulgent, practically unreadable. Was going nowhere. I tried for 10 pages and just shut down.

Hi Sophia! I loved this book, it is one of my all-time favourites! I've read it twice and will definitely be making a third reread happen! I really enjoyed your review. I liked how it was open-ended as to the direction of Eleanor and Raymond's relationship. In my mind, it was just going to stay as a friendship. Subscribing as I love your content :) I hope you're having a great day x

It's an okay book, I don't necessarily disagree there but this inst a great review. You spend the first 4 minutes justifying your opinion based on things that aren't the book itself. On good read it has a high rating. But if you look at these rating and just add those up you get a lower rating wich wow thats way closer to what I would rate it. Wich justifies my opinion. I don't think this is what you're trying to do: but it makes it seem like you're doing gymnastics with the ratings to justify your opinion. Same with the I'm young and that's why people might disregard my opinion but I read alot of books so I think my opinion is still falid. We don't care about good reads rating, just tell your review and then we'll decide if it has Merritt based on your arguments. Same for the age thing. Screw those people. It doesn't matter that you're young nor that you have read alot of books. Just state your opinion and give your arguments for why. people that disregard your opinion not based on the merits of that but based on your age not worth addressing. Similar to the book this review could have been alot shorter.

Yeah so im a guy, never read twilight, remember some stuff about the movies and only just rewatched the first one so i dont really have any attachments to the characters and i really liked this. I thought the character interactions were better than the original ones and liked Beau significantly more than Bella. Edythe was also really interesting and so in conclusion, i get it now

Just finished it. When Boney said she checked the trunk of Desi’s jag and found her hair in their and the dog picked up her scent….that was next level planning. I thought for sure one of them was going to end up dead at the end but the door was kind of left open though.

I watched the movie first and then read this book as part of a reading challenge . I was reluctant to read the book because I tend to avoid books about people born differently . Sometimes their experiences can be a trigger for my past negative experiences a s well when I see the similarities. However , I was having trouble finding a book about self love and acceptance that I was actually interested in . I applaud Auggie’s family and friends for always encouraging him to take risks and get out of his comfort zone ( within reason, i.e going to a new school ) without forcing him to be “ like a normal kid “ and saying he must learn to do all the things that “ normal “ people can do . A lot of Chinese stories about people who are born different only focuses on them struggling and succeeding to do things like “ normal “ people , as if that is their life goal and they don’t have any other ambitions like making friends and achieving their own dreams etc . The Asian perspective drives me crazy. This book isn’t like that . In this book Auggie makes friends and struggles with haters like every single person on this planet . This book is about how he is unique and not about trying to conform with others . Additionally , Auggie’s grade 5 graduation ceremony brings tears to my eyes as it is reminiscent of my own grade 5 graduation back in 2005. This book brings back more good memories for me than bad ones . I only wish this book was published back in 2005 when I was in grade 5 . But as it turns out im reading it all these years later and it still hits me hard in a good way . I am going to watch the movie again to compare book vs movie .

Love this series! It's been on my need to buy list for a LONG time and I found 2 of the 3 with the matching old covers at Half Priced Books last week. So on the hunt for the first book of the series w/ matching cover design... Can't wait for a re-read.

Just started reading gone girl, it’s great. Nick feels relatable, he reads as a self-centered character who is aware enough to present themselves as otherwise but that makes him worse. Amy reads as the victim of this marriage, from her diary.

i don’t think including race was really necessary. this story is about a dystopic society it’s not really an accurate or realistic reflection of the society we live in. of course race always matters and pervades all aspects of our society now but in the hunger games there’s already a lot of different themes being explored and i feel like focusing on race really wouldn’t have helped emphasize the themes of the book better.

Personally, i don’t think the lack of mention of skin tone was too weird. It does give us a chance to imagine what each characters skin color could look like! I just think it lends more to us as readers! Just my opinion though! I really loved the book, and found each character fascinating despite them being terrible most of the time! I did read the audio book, so some parts I didn’t find as over bearing like the music, so I’m glad I decided to go with that first 😅

This review basically perfectly explains this book and its beauty. It's one of my favorite books of all time, so thank you so much for describing it so wonderfully. I agree that it was pretty predictable, but I also feel like thats not really why you would read the book. You read the book to experience the way that Jandy Nelsons words wash over you and bathe you in emotions.
