My husband has heart issues. We are in Wisconsin also. With our cold weather the doctors told us when it gets under 30 degrees to wear a mask outside. Cold is hard on the heart and lungs. We Enjoy your videos and so hope all goes well. Hugs❤

My daughter was born with a heart issue and a genetic disorder. A leaky valve can require surgery. Medical bills can really stress you out too. Praying they get a handle on the heart issue and have you back on the road soon. Bless you and Marty both and the two dogs.

Wow, does your story sound familiar. I had a heart attack three years ago, it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. Sally, there is something about having heart problems that scares us to our very core. I am so glad you are dealing with your heart health and have a good cardiologist. It may be helpful to remember that medical technology has made enormous advances just like other technology in our lives. Have a little faith that there will be effective treatments for your condition; it’s good now and will be even better in the future. When I was recovering and feeling down, I tried to “fast forward” a few years and imagine how much more energy I would have riding my bicycle. And that is exactly what happened. Hello Sight Seeing Sally, thank you for sharing your journey. As a Registered Nurse, for 40+years working in CCU, & ICU everyone especially women have different type of symptoms while experiencing a cardiac or heart attack event. One of my male patients who had a massive heart attack, had only 2 symptoms, he experienced Left jaw pain which he thought was caused by his new dentures, & Left elbow pain, which he dismissed as his bursitis acting up. So not everyone has the crushing mid chest pain in there sternum. Women tend to have more subtle symptoms of having cardiac issues or a heart attack. So if you don’t feel like your self & are experiencing a sudden increase or difficultly in your breathing which is new, or have an increase in your heart rate at rest, which might feel like your heart is pounding out of your chest, please take your Blood Pressure & call your Doctor and/or go to the nearest ER or Express clinic. Woman in general, are usually less likely to have heart issues until after they go through menopause. Post menopause is when women have a greater risk of developing heart disease issues & dying because of a heart attack etc.

While you were telling your story I was really feeling it and all of a sudden my own heart defect, SVT.....started up, lasted for over an hour too! Hey Sally! From one heart patient to another, I know what you're talking about on some of these things, especially the appointments! I have a-fib and have had for twenty-five years. It seems they're quick to tell you that (fill in the blank) can be fatal, so something needs to be done, but then the quickest they can get you in as Stardate 4357.1. 😆They definitely don't get in a hurry. My prayers are with you and Marty! I'm very glad to hear your daughter is coming in for Christmas! Family get-togethers regardless of the occasion or no occasion at all are always precious times. I know you will all have a wonderful and memorable time!

I recently found your channel and love your content. I suffered Heart failure in August 2022, it has been a hard long recovery. My life now is very different as compared to when my Heart was healty. Accepting my limitation I can now see that Every day is a gift and I am now traveling again. I head to Colorado next week and plan to go to Alaska summer 2024. Much Love to you and your family.

I was up last night because of my heart issues and sounds like we have the same thing. Your Video came in at the most perfect time for me and it gave me hope. I have Afib. The medicine to stop the Afib caused hy heart rate to drop too low. This caused me to need a pacemaker. So I can empathize about all the testing. My heart is doing better but still throws in extra beats. I hope your doctors can get you regulated so you’ll feel better. Btw my watch was what clued me in that I had Afib.

Yes the symptoms you had experienced indicate some heart issues. Definitely can relate to what you are going through considering mine and my family history of heart issues. Wow the tests you had remind me of the tests I had. Stress test is very important. Had one earlier this year. Walking is good! When we mention walk our Shih Tzu and Chihuahua mix get excited. Sally and Marty I hope you guys have a great Christmas with Miss Science and the 4 legged kids. Try not to get down Sally I could tell you what my last few years have been like and kept me from going to the warmer places, but think of the good things and your family and friends. It can sometimes seem hard and it gets worse but it ALWAYS gets better. I just passed a chemical stress test at the hospital if you need any tips let me know. ( I didn't even study) Hope you guys stay safe and as healthy as you can.

My 84 yr old father had serious heart issues last year and ended up with a pacemaker. He's definitely still slowing down with age but the pacemaker probably added years to his life. I'm a retired FedEx courier, retired early at 55. At 59 I noticed with a temp job UPS Christmas helper, that I wasn't able to hustle like I used to. Just walking up to a door and back felt like I was walking in water. The following March had a serious heart attack and a double bypass. Things are better now, modern medicine can work wonders, but for many of us it's part of the last quarter of life. Had a stent put in January of 2011, a heart attack in 2022, and most likely will face this again in my 70's. If not for modern medicine I would've been gone years ago. So hang in there, keep doing what you're doing, you've got many years in front of you!

Oh....crap. You've gone and inspired me again. Here comes the club. I've been having (IMO) minor concerns with my heart that I've been putting off. Instead, I put all my focus onto my beagle Cooper, who had a wholly unexpected and staggeringly short battle with lymphoma, and lost. Instead of our daily walks I've been stuffing my face with Hershey bars and marshmallows for a couple months now while ignoring everything else. Cooper was the Dog Of My Life; his passing just completely derailed my train. However the parallels will not be ignored. Thanks to you Sally, I'll be (re)scheduling in the morning. Since I won't be joining the were-beagle any time soon I should get on with the business of living for the rest of my family. Thanks for the healthy dose of perspective, my dear. As with any RU-vidr, what you show us is just the tip of the iceberg. From this side of the camera, one can see there is so much love for you in your own household. There's more out here for you in the digital world. And I can only imagine how much love surrounds you in your daily living. Please do take good care of yourself, Sally, and live long.💜

Same thing happened to me as with you and the lower part of your heart, being out of sync. Well, doc said, “you gotta get a pacemaker.” Yikes! Long story short, I had one installed and whooowee, it is like I had a supercharger installed, all the symptoms went away. The procedure is done in one day, no overnight stay, easy peasy. Hope everything turns out, AOK.

I can relate to what you are experiencing. I thought I was having a heart attack 2 summers ago. After an ambulance ride to the hospital, the doctors determined it was an asthma attack but they kept asking why my heart rate was so slow (mid-low 50s). A visit to the cardiologist revealed bradycardia. I passed the stress test with flying colors. It helps to go up and down stairs multiple times each day. I wear a smart watch that tracks my heart rate and the cardiologist has access to those recordings. I found out this condition runs in my family so all I can do is trust God, cowboy up and deal with it. Keep your chin up. The cardiologists have some pretty amazing tools these days. I went to a cardio and was on a treadmill I looked before where I could put my feet in case and they ran it up I would have fallen.if my hart starts I take a shot of oilve oil it fixes it right up.

I was born with that condition. I just had my bi-cuspid valve replaced in June. It is actually more routine than you think. I won't lie, you do feel like you have been hit by truck after for about 2 months. But the body adapts and I feel more energetic than I have since in my 20s

I have to do that with shoes that have shoelaces too - double bow knot. My shoelaces ALWAYS came untied, ALWAYS. And I just gave up and just walked around with untied shoelaces. I never tripped on them but would make so many other people nervous. It wasn't until I was in my 40s that someone showed me that trick. But velcro had come out by then and now most of my shoes are velcro. In fact, I don't think I have any shoes that need lace tying now, having to have my head bowed down to tie just one shoe knot makes me dizzy now.
