I hate losing in World of Tanks, that's why I spend countless hours on finding a way to win more often. I started my journey when I had a 48% win rate and 10 years later I have 69% win rate on average. That's 21% improvement and today I will share 2 the most valuable lessons I have learned over 10 years of playing.

What's cool about this video, is that you are basically teaching us how to get better at anything. The same principles, of observing the environment, acting based on the input, observing the mistakes and giving yourself feedback, apply when you are playing video games, learn music, programming, or even learning to socialize. One thing I'd add is not everyone has the same playstyle. From what I've seen iyouxin has one of the most aggressive playstyles out of the top tier unicums. If you try to replicate that results will highly likely be catastrophic. At least in the beginning of the improvement journey it's a lot better to stay patient and not rush the most aggressive position immediately and die in

bro i love your videos so much man. you really figured out how to make videos that are not only fun to watch, but also engaging, while also teaching your viewers something. the way that you explain your moves also makes me stay focussed on the video, not getting bored because you pause, say something, and dont show entire games, but important moves and highlights. keep up the good work man

1. occuppy important positions, win flanks, or open flanks for your team. 2. whenever you make a mistake, stop to think what you would have done differently next round. come up with solution and try next game. 3. cmpare setups, enemy to your team. and understand which team is stronger. they have MORE heavies? ok, win the medium flank or if youre a medium help the heavies. What are your teams strengths and weaknesses?

Complaining to team mates when you get killed because you went alone is a time to remind yourself to check the map before you make decisions for where you'll be able to make plays and actually have the sufficient amount of support that you think you need based on what enemy tanks may/may not be there. Yes I know this is a troll comment, but I figured i'd add an informative reply to it.

One thing that helped me was not to progress until I had 2 marks of excellence on the tank. So I'd play tier 5 until I got 2 marks, then progressed to tier 6, etc. There are a lot of people playing at levels way beyond their skill level. My strategy helped me get "decent", then move on.

Well here is the Great news!! You are a new player, you only have @3k battles, so you are still learning everything. Look and see what is generally not working, for you, or for anyone. these are bad positions, bad tanks, and especially bad habits. Learn what works for maps, positions, tactics. Learn to side scrape, and which tanks are good or bad at that. Aim small, miss small; learn weak points; go for tracking + damage shots whenever possible. use your mini map like your mirrors when driving: situational awareness is key to winning, and also to getting the most out of any game, even a loss. Preserve your HP early so you can spend it later when you need it at endgame. Don't make bad damage trades. And a lot more lols. Start watching videos, by keeping an eye on the mini map, and you will see when and why these streamers will push, relocate, or fall back early to avoid getting pinned in place and killed. Mobility is used to extend or escape, to create new angles. When you camp, and have no shot, you cant do damage or use your armor or HP to help your team. Finish off low HP tanks whenever possible. If you lose sight of the enemy for longer than about 20-30 seconds, they can relocate and then overload another flank, while you camp and do nothing. All of this is to say there is a LOT to learn. Start with basics like learning a particular map or tank. Learn how to use camo and bushes. Learn to play lights and meds BETTER. Meds can spot, flank, and have great DPM usually. Their best armour is their mobility. Learn to gun battle, without trading HP. Stay alive AND be effective longer, and you will start seeing an increase in your fun, and winrate.

Thanks for helping peeps get better, the game needs it badly. As for going from 48 to 71%, it’s going to be a matter of more than skills. It’s easier to move the needle with 17k battles than 50k battles. Playing with a 3 stars tank will get you more favors from RNG, and platooning with good stats mates helps a lot in pub battles. Another way to improve stats in to play lower tier tanks and become better, as per your advice.

Thanks for your valuable advice, I've been having a lot of free time lately, so after I think almost 7 years I decided to start playing WOT again. Everything seems to have changed, I can't understand why it's no longer possible to play only with just my favorite 8 tanks without the game putting me in absurd MM!!! I had a 70% W/R on T67, now I barely reach 53% and I'm really struggling to keep my free account.

Ever since watching your videos, I’ve better understood how to play more effectively! from a 49% to steadily climbing to 51%, and my rating has went from 4100 to just under 5000 in the past couple weeks!!! The videos are great Keep it up!!

Actually this is something I've done in many games like Tarkov or Hunt Showdown, where mistakes are paid hardly. In WOT I always try to learn what did I do wrong, but sometimes I'm too lazy/tired to do the "extra" effort so I "gamble" thinking for "the best" like "maybe they don't see me" or "Maybe they don't hit me"... XD MISTAKE. Also, sometimes since the situation is different, and the tanks as well... you don't think clearly and commit other mistakes. I love aggresive play and look for crossfire, but always there are someone waiting for me where I go... so I believe I still have much to improve :) Thanks for remind me my own lessons, sometimes we forget them. GGs, good content.

The main thing about this game is playing defensively and not forget to we have 15 minute time. I observe that people act unnecessarily hastily, therefore they losing hit points and getting spotted for no reason. The main think is not about to killing but surviving. When I was figure this out, my stats going better.

It dosent matter how good you are, its a team game, more often than not people cannot go over 50% wr not because they are bad, but because their teams are shit, i can easily have over 60% win rate, if i had a bit better teams and if i stop being that aggresive (even tho in my case it works around 80% of the time). Main problem is that one player cannot change anything, 2-3 players can.

Just came back after some Years of abstinence, so many things have changed. (Playing since Beta, "lost" a Account in 2014 and Restarted to stop again in... uhm... 2018?). Thanks for the tips. Agressive play is a good idea. However I would add that it is better start practicing agressive play with tanks that can tolerate mistakes, like IS-7 or V4. Also I have to mention that playing solo and agressive is not always easy, as team mates tend to be very passive, so you have to do agressive play wisely. 🙂

t100lt is a very nice tank for things like this. Its just perfect. Im currently on 88% on it, I hope this videos helps me :D Edit: 88% because I usually dont have the balls to go into close combat with the heavy tanks, but definitely worth a try

You forgot playing enough to know every tank (weak spots, speed, clip type, etc) and every map like the back of your hand, paying to have 100% crew from the get-go, spending gold to reassign crew when roles don't match the next tank, having 6 crew skills, field mods grinded out, bond equipment, using premium consumables including food (gives more view range than fully trained crew which is crazy) and having at least half of your loadout as premium ammo. Plus a premium account to pay for all of the premium stuff until you are god-tier and make money and bonds in most matches. I'm not denying your skills and intellect, but nobody is gonna get 71% win rate if they play mostly a dozen game a week to grind stock tanks with regular equipment starting at 75% crew.

It's important to not be a "wallet warrior". If anyone thinks throwing money at the game is the way to go it's - it's not! Once a player gets in the habit of buying into the game as a way to play - WG has you. It's a guaranty of perpetual crap stats because your account is a farm product, hook, line and sinker. You on the other hand present a great way to learn. Coaching from you is a major plus!

I love this man but what are we supposed to do if we are the heavies that are going to lose because the enemy heavy’s are better. Maybe you can Cary but that rarely happens and we also are trying to mark our tanks how do we do that if we are just going to die?!

I am the same mate. Been the same percentage sinse I started playing this game 6 years ago. Yesterday Played couldnt lose shots penetrated consistently and went where I aimed. Today couldnt hit a barn wall from the inside nothing penned, shots went into another universe.

Not super difficult to play aggressively in a heavy tank or Foch B, but how do you play aggressively in a Skorpion? Or a medium tank? The T-100LT gameplay was super educational, tho.

Just a statistical observation. Not everyone can boost their winrate from around 50% to 70%. If everyone did play better in the manner suggested, everyones winrate would be around 50%. In order for better play to have a positive effect on your winrate, you require the vast majority ofplayers not toplay better.
