Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!😁
I always enjoy your comics haul, I really like the books you chose. It's very different then other youtube comics collector, you show books that are normally forgotten or didn't care about. Cheers!

Wow awesome info, this is the kind of list I love to have. I will look through all these and add them to my search radar if there were not there already.
9:07 That Daredevil is a Barry Windsor-Smith cover, which would have been enough for me to buy it ;) Ditto the Conan that comes soon after it which is a Mike Mignola cover.
That is why I pulled it up for a second, love that cover and out of instinct I wanted to buy it haha. I have a few of them though so did not need another haha It was mid grade so in that condition most likely just a dollar book sadly. Same on the Conan though cool issue which I believe I had already too.
You might want to get a go pro and harness for videos like this in the future - yard sale youtubers use them. That way you can flip through longs hands-free!
Yeah I use a go pro for my videos, and at conventions I have to strapped to my bag usually. In this case I ran to the shop so fast I forgot to grab the clip that attaches to my backback. Plus they were on the floor so it would be harder to monitor the angle that is looking at the boxes etc.
Yeah I should have pulled that one out, I think at the time when I saw it there was something wrong with it. Otherwise I would have grabbed it for myself.
Should have pulled the Black Knight, Cloak and Dagger, Sensational She-Hulk, Moon Knight. There was a Marvel Spotlight featuring Dragon Lord. That came out right after Marvel lost the rights to Godzilla. They took Dragon Lord from Tales of Kung Fu and converted Godzilla into a generic Dragon.
Yeah Black Knight was not on my radar but now it is. I believe I pulled all the better Moon Knight and She hulks stuff for him, left the beat up ones since those would be harder to get a premium for.
I already own most of it so I would only be grabbing stuff to sell then. He just bought the collection so the better comics would have been market price.
I appreciate the info, I have not really put them on my radar yet even though they got pushed up in the past year or so. I should keep an eye out now. thanks.
Looks like it came from a comic book store that failed in the 90s.... they sorta just tossed back issues into a box when they needed to clean out their current shelves... .i.e. their dollar box.
I have seen that comic so many times over the years in dollar bins it did not register in my head it may be worth something because of the eternals movie which is crazy to me. Good catch thanks for the info. I think I might have 4-5 in my collection lol
Yes he was original a white dude then they drew him to look like Samuel L. Jackson in a ultimate universe comic, he saw the comic with his likeness and agreed to play him in the movies. He makes a awesome NIck Fury if you ask me.
Some great finds in that box! You’ve got a really great eye at finding a variety of different stuff. Do you have an online store or do you just collect? I’d love to see what you have available
That’s awesome what’s the shop called? I’ll definitely plan a visit out at some point. I’m thinking of trying the TCBS (Toronto comic book show) this year. Have you been?
Booster Gold you blasted part then almost pulled the trigger on PowerGirl, StarTrek, Mister Miracle, Secret Origins, pull anything DC Crisis related (any of the crises), Silver Surfer (catch the wave ahead of the curve)!?
Booster Gold is cool, I do have all the 80s stuff with him in my collection, dont really look for it anymore when I see it. Are any issues other then his first appearance have any value now?
Nice finds in the park (random) lol but those Batman comics and that Transformers #1 nice pulls. And the later Gi Joes are short print runs so have some value
wow u missed so many books buddy Jonah hex , all the joker covers , Byrne FF, alot of minor keys .indiana jones ,new mutants ,all the ghost riders early factors sleepwalker Thor 412 nice stuff
I was pulling mostly for dollar value, I did miss a couple of keys like Thor 412 which was no on my radar though. A lot of what you mentioned was in mid grade or poor condition so I did not yank it because I did not think it would sell for $4+ which is kinda what he sorts out etc. He still went through though and sorted out stuff for his dollar bin and stuff worth more to sell in the shop.
Always the 70s stuff are getting rarer to find but there Always seems a lot of comic titles late 80s and 90s comics that are Always in bargin bins and runs nobody wants like power pack and arak but very cool and rare issues of wonder woman early 80s that you don't see much of anymore just before her first run ended with issue 329
@ 11:38. FF #353 1st appearance of Mobius M. Mobius $60-70- book all day @14:16 Spider-Woman 38, $10-12 X-men X-over, @ 15:42 Spider-Woman #32 is a $30 Key Frank Miller cover.
Looks like #353 has fallen to a $10-$15 book now in vf-nm his copy was mid grade so probably a $5 book but I should have pulled it for him. Have not really thought about the issue since it gained value during Loki. The Spider-Woman issues were also mid grade so did not think they broke the $4 mark, but 32 looks like it might get to $5 in a fine on ebay. I usually dont think about them as having value unless they look high grade. I appreciate the input, better to learn then not know.
@@pop-comics , yeah hard to tell how high the grade is from this vantage point. I'm still getting $50-60 for 353, but those are VF and up. Spider Woman runs in higher grade seem to be gaining a bit, especially those with the Werewolf, Spider-man crossovers as well as that 1st Siryn book...37 I believe. Some of those bigger keys you took out of there was nice, sad to see all these without any bags and boards though.
Ooh! Are the only Action City books you ended up with the ones you showed afterwards? There were a bunch in the boxes that I need! How long ago was this? Think they're still selling them at the store?
Yeah I just grabbed the ones I showed at the end, I think he brought some to Eternal con this past weekend but he pulled out a bunch to put in his sorted bins I think. There still a good chance some of what was in this collection is still in the shop.
9:01. Nothing huge but it’s the first appearance of Talisman in costume. Depending on condition it could be worth like 15 bucks, but the value is steadily climbing. The issue is Alpha Flight #19
Because the guy probably bought them new on the newstand or comics shop back in the day and just read them. I myself have purchased all kinds of comics without bags and boards from the 1960s to today that people just bought and read.
What happens is a lot goes into dollar bins, some comics still sell for a decent value mid grade. And the key issues sell well if you price them for the condition.
You passed by on a bunch of key books. I will only buy key issues and rare variants cause those are the only books that have any value and all the rest is just junk books.
@@pop-comics I think they saw everything you missed, but if you go on ebay and search first appearance in comics and try to memorize the cover art cause that way you willn't miss to much.I remember years ago I passed on first silver age penguin because I didn't no what it was.I just try to memorize the covers but everyone will miss a few books.
Definitely something I have been doing for 20 years. But its hard to keep up with all the books jumping based on speculation. I mean I grabbed 80-90% of the keys, what I missed was stuff like Black Night #1 that jumped in value because of Eternals. In my mind it was not even on my radar since so much of the Eternals stuff has dropped in value plus I have had thatr issue and sold it for a dollar so many times when it was worthless. I did pass up the 1st Alan Moore Swampthing but it was damaged. Someone else said Alpha Flight 19, you can still get vf for $3 on mycomicshop though so not really something I will be grabbing yet. I also missed the 1st mobius Fantastic Four, again an issue that was a dollar until loki last year. and FF 272 1st Nathaniel Richards which is rising due to Kang tie in. I just dont spend time on key collector looking for what is hot this month. I think I might start doing videos on what books to look out for to refresh my memory. Thanks for the feedback.
Uh, I talk with the guys for over an hour. He had read and knew everything about every issue, you could tell they were his collection and he loved all of them. If they were stolen they guy would be clueless. He was moving and wanted to try to get a decent price for his comics instead of selling them to a comic shop for cheap. Kinda not cool accusing someone of buying stolen items.
