Getting together at a remote company is key! We only just started being remote as an outcome of covid so I think we are still figuring it out so any videos on how to keep connections going while working remote would be great. We are also a team that has some ppl clustered around offices so some people do go in and see each other, and go to office events and I think that can be a lil difficult to maneuver when you have ppl that are fuly remote and cant participate. You want to talk about it, but you also dont want ppl to feel left out.

Very cool hearing about ConvertKit's retreat having been a part of my first ever with my current company this time last month that's also remote. Seeing everyone in person outside of Teams/Zoom meetings for the first time was wild. Some people I didn't even recognize initially. I can definitely agree that I I enjoy the tone setting starting sessions/key notes tend to bring. I felt like a part of the team initially, but after my teams' retreat I made so many stronger connections. Thank you for sharing Charli!

I've been part of a remote team for 11 years. The opportunities we get to spend time face to face are always a lot of fun and help us bond. All of our team members are located in Ontario, with the furthest living about 3.5 hours away so it's not quite as challenging to get together. Some of our more recent events have been renting a giant house for a mystery dinner and sleep-over around Christmas, and a Galentine's day bowling party. Our next will most likely be a photoshoot followed by a team lunch.

Do you have made something in regards to practicality of remote work? the things like how you taxed, expenses, visa, overtime payments, bank acount opening, etc.?

nope! because that's so specific depending on your tax residency status, visa status, where you live, how your contract I set up... I'm not qualified to give advice on that kind of thing sorry!

At the beach I would like to play chess in the dawn..big waves like the song. Power pf goodbye. Also I have yet to collect my team hudred of marble collectors and trench diggers..from a slide in a mickey italian comic I cant forget
