Hey there! I’m Charli, and I’m a web & graphic designer who’s passionate about helping creative professionals increase their worth by improving their craft and process. I’m half Kiwi, half British and currently living in Valencia! I post design videos about tools, projects, and concepts as well as vlogs of my life as a designer.
I am from Pakistan and the hardest part for me is to get a remote job. I have been trying for the past year but no luck so far. I don't know if I am doing something wrong. Well I will keep trying until I land my first remote job.
Thank you so much. I am from India and this literally helped to understand where I can start using Figjam. I have neither used Figma nor Figjam before, your tutorial gave me full exposure to the icons and concept of how we can use Figjam efficiently. Jazak allahu khair for the help.
So what about the payment? do they pay you in dollars based on US wages? like you're contractor but they pay you like you live in US? I think I don't have it clear. Thank you
I just found your channel and it's helping me so much in making my online store. I'm not a profesional yet but your videos are helping me to decide if I want to study web desing too. Thank you so much! Keep going with your good content❤❤
Brilliant public address and a call to arms to prioritise health and wellness. This act alone is as inspirational as the regular content you’ve put out. Here’s to clarity of thought and self-confidence!
I felt burnout for almost a full year after a particularly intense round of projects. I felt the same, that everything I read was about looking for another job, but that wasn't realistic at the time for me. In the same way you talked about comparing yourself to other creators, I did the same with your channel and thought "how does she work full time and also do this channel? I barely want to even be on my computer after work sometimes" Honestly the job had sucked the joy of design out of me and it took much longer than I expected to find it again, and a huge part of that was spending more time with projects I cared about (thanks to a good manager who listened) and, just like you did, finding hobbies outside of work that were creative in a different way and actually having fun again.
Thank you for the plain English! I am a teacher of kindergarten and first grade. I have to import my jamboards into Figma. Idk why, but now that I’ve imported some, I can’t seem to access them! Please help! Because Figma sure won’t help, ugh.
That black t-shirt you're wearing with the gold coloured text looks great. Ive heard that usually, you need a white under-base when printing light colours on dark fabric. Though since you're using a DIY screen printing workflow, I guess you're not using any under-base. The results still look impressive.
Best video on iteration that I've found. I teach design (including graphic design and coding) and spent quite a while watching various videos about iteration in order to find one that really illustrated the concept well, would be appealing and approachable for my students (middle school age) and was a reasonable length (around 3-5 minutes). You've nailed it. Thank you!
I see most of the US jobs ask us to be either in the US or have the rights to work in. How to find companies that really are 100% remote and doesn't ask this??
Thank you so much for your video! But i have question: I am working on an E-commerce website and need to add a fixed shipping cost to the cart regardless of the number of items. Thank you for your replies.
I am trying to learn how to connect the categories links/buttons to the filtered listing. But that's the part was really speeded up. I would thought that's the core of building the store front page. Couldn't follow at all even I tried to slow it down or freeze the screen Don't understand how one CMS is connected to another one.
Just watched your video from 4 years ago! Crazy how we went from free assets to having AI tools designing. Still not worried! Design thinking is irreplaceable. Solutions are never a one size fits all
It's okay to take a rest every once in awhile; you're not supposed to be 100% energetic every day, so enjoy your rest and hope you get well soon, as I'm waiting for your next video.
