Qaadir I am a transgender women and I first discovered you in 9th grade when I first started transitioning. I use to get bullied, beat up, followed from school, have bottle thrown at me, knives pulled on me. Everyday. I used to come home and watch your videos especially this one. I remember one day crying after school watching this video and when I heard your words I felt peace you gave me strength to walk through those halls and catch the beat in my headphones and flip my hair for the haters. I can relate. a couple years ago my straight friends and I went to straight club called club ice and I was dressed like a guy yknow. because I didn't want any drama or anything, but other than that I had a good time. the next time around we were all supposed to go and I felt uncomfortable having to go there dressed as a woman so I text my friends and I told them that I couldn't go because I didn't want any craziness going on and I didn't want to get gay bashed or anything like that. my friends got upset but they understood and they told me if I'm not going theyre not going and if something were to happen my straight friends will literally kill somebody over me. so that literally let me know right there that no matter what happens my friends always have my back. you're a brave soul for going to the reggae club.

Oh my goodness...You just made me feel so much better. Though, I never felt bad before, but I thought I was the only person who goes to the club and gets a Sprite. Amen, you better preach it! I so feel you on this. I remember when I was an outcast amongst "my own" (blacks) b/c I was too proper and had (still have) natural long hair. Needless to say, I've moved on and up still pushing and shining brighter than ever. I went through the shit, but came out sparkling clean on the other side.
