Even in the U.S. i wish I had gotten this kind of hair education as a child! I think if you ever did this again, it'd be nice to have a big poster or handouts showing the steps of moisturizing hair, detangling, and super simple protective styles before bed. They say in outreach a picture is worth a thousand words and really sticks with the audience better!

I was born and raised in Nigeria. I remember with I was like 9 years old my dad had to cut my hair because I was crying too much. My mom was combing my hair dry and with no hair product. I gave them permission to cut my hair because it was painful. I remember when I came to California. My aunty was wondering why my parents would cut my hair. I am now 27 years old with a very healthy and beautiful hair.

My natural hair was uncontrollable for in while in secondary school and I only comb at the hairdressers most times and I eventually permed it, but now I know better and I’m back on my natural hair and I love my natural hair!
