This channel is the epitome of class bathed in genuine pleasure sprinkled with humility and respect for the craft and its artists. Hats off and thank you very much for so eloquently sharing your culinary experiences.
@@DC-fo9rh Agreed. It takes even longer, at this point, for even top shelf channels to ascend, especially when the content is intellectually subtle and this refined. it will get there. He's fighting for his first star. 😁
@@DC-fo9rh believe it or not, he already has been taking off! it feels like just yesterday I was watching him with 1.4k subscribers. the rise has been quick. I just checked a site that reports on youtube stats and over the past 365 days he's gone from 15k to 159k subs (:
The most detailed video by far in terms of the ingredients used and the cooking methods employed, which made it the most interesting video! That really helped me to imagine the flavours and textures of each dish. Looking forward to the next review!
I love how the head chef just walks around with a glass of wine in the large open kitchen. It shows that he is really at home and having a great time and you are invited to the party. It much more fun than many super formal European restaurants.
I think this is by far the most generous tasting menu from any restaurant featured on this channel. Sometimes people say fine dining can leave you hungry - this is clearly not the case here!
Alexander is the only youtube/internet personality who I can hear talk about 1000s of dollars worth of bills, and not get the littlest sense of showing off from him.
Men this is crazy... I would fly over to China just for this experience.. The dishes looks great, like art. Vibe is great, and ive never seen a chef drinking like this. The guy is a legend and I would love to cheer a glass champagne with him! Thanks for putting this video online!
@@1jaedan This is an impressive amount of mental gymnastics considering the dude literally just filmed and dined in China. Consider applying to a circus job lol. Western propaganda has done a number on your brain. If you don't plan to commit a crime or do some casual espionage then China is probably safer than the majority of Western countries.
Wow. Didn't expect the China trip. I lived in Shanghai for two years and regret never going to places like Tai'an, didn't even know they got the third star, wow (especially Ultraviolet, I wanna go there so bad!). Thanks for the video the dishes looked like works of art!
When I go to Shanghai again the TaianTable will be on my list ! I love the way Chef Stiller and his team create mouth-watering fusion cuisine from different geographical locations, and their wine selection is straight up my avenue. I'm German too, and I love German wines and am convinced of their world-class quality - as always you just have to find the right vineyards and years. Hats off to Chef Stiller for creating such amazing food, and to Alexander for sharing his experience !
Classic Alexander, hears it's someone in the world's birthday so pops a bottle of Krug 😉 love it. Looks like a really special place, brilliant service and lots of interesting ideas for dishes.
This channel should have a couple mil subs, the quality is insane and the content is incredibly unique and alexander himself is a phenomenal host. Amazing content keep it up!
I love cooking and culinary stuff and I haven't come across a lot of high-end dining content. I always thought that it would be a bit pretentious. But Alexander is so humble and presents all of these restaurants with such groundedness, honesty, and humility that I can really see and appreciate the art and effort put into all of this food. His presentation and production quality is outstanding as well. Thank you for making these videos!
I really like this episode for its detailed description coupled with understated passion and respectful appreciation for the craft. Thank you Alexander.
I've watched most, if not all of your episodes, but this is my favorite one! I really liked how you focused on the food, its ingredients and its taste, instead of the wines in the selection, great episode, keep it up
I like it that you are able to interact with the chef himself. That really something special, you get to know a little of the person who created the meal. Great job.
After watching every single episode of your amazing Journey, this one is my absolute favorite. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome experience with us, it is always a pleasure to be a part of it!
Seeing your channel go from virtually 0 subscribers to 155k has been a treat! Love how granular the content gets, there is no other on RU-vid doing it this way! Adding this to my list of places to go lol 🤝🏾
Beautiful video as always. I'd love you if could make video of the cities and the places you visit, maybe showing the local street food and cuisine and the local food traditions. All of that seen by your professional and elegant eyes. It would be a wonderful tour around the world. COME TO ITALY!!! LOVE YOU
I lived in China for three years. Shenzhen. Which is close to Hong Kong. Shanghai is great. Been there a few times. My ex Chinese girlfriend lives there. My favorite city on the mainland. They are well known for their seafood. I liked this restaurant because it was different. Like you said. Loved how you sat not at a table but at the counter area. That way you can easily watch them make everything. The owner was great. Loved how personable he was to you. Smiling. Laughing. Etc. Easy going. Not stiff. Their food looked good. But their desserts were amazing. Loved what they gave you plus their presentation. Unique. I also loved the lighting inside the restaurant. That’s very important to me. How is it lit. To set that mood. Thanks again.
Thanks to your channel I''ve learned the subtleties that differentiate a one michelin star restaurant to three. Perfection isn't just all seriousness but putting a wonderful personal connection to the experience. More power! Yours is easily one of the BEST lifestyle channels on YT
This looks incredible! Seems like ALOT of food though haha, mustve been quite full afterwards! each serving seems rather large compared to some of the other restaurants you've tested
Great video! For a future one I would recommend "De Nieuwe Zaak" in Nijmegen (Netherlands). A 2 Michelin star vegan restaurant. They are considered the best vegetarian restaurant in the world by many.
I always like your presentation, elegant n so clearly so I can imagine the taste of foods. The cinematography also the next level. Best Regards from Jakarta, Indonesia.
The descriptions of the food are really great. Compared to the first episodes you have started to include just the right amount of detail. Please come to the us again(California please)
What this Channel has achieved in such a short time is nothing short of exceptional. The Production value and quality rivals the very best shows on TV. Toss in a wildly likable Host, that actually can articulate the dishes superbly, yet weave his personal opinion in seemlessly, and this is a surefire production that Network Execs clammor for. Netflix needs to pick this show up, so the wider viewing public can benefit!
hi alexander , i'm still astonished you have not hit 1 mil. Your videos are just perfect. I'm so glad that you have finally visted somewhere i've been, thank you for these amazing videos.
Never thought I'd see my German hometown featured on this channel. Interestingly his German wiki page says that chef Stiller was born in Hildesheim, not in Celle. Not sure if that's a mistake or not. When I'm in Shanghai I'll have to pay this restaurant a visit!
i wish we could see a bit of different type of Michelin stars restaurants, not only the fine dining ones, but the street and humble ones, and there are A LOT .. thank you and keep up the good work
Long time ago, but I have great memories of Celle. A car trip through Europe with my parents in 1993. From Sweden to Italy, destination La Serra. Stayed two days in Celle in a friendly Gasthaus owned by a friendly lady in her 60-ies. Was served one of the best Wienerschnitzel I have ever eaten, maybe not super traditional, it was served with a mushroom sauce, but it was that good that it can still be remembered some 30 years later. Times have changed, but if Celle is somewhat like that today, I can highly recommend a visit! On topic: 330 EUR for that kind of food is actually very reasonable.
Outstanding as always. Before I found your channel, my top reason going to Hungary was to listen to the Ivan Fischer Budapest Festival Orchestra. Now I have 2 top reasons with the second being dining in your restaurant :)
What a beautiful presentation. You pay up 2000 euros for the menu alone and do all this work filming and editing (or hire someone to do it) and make us viewers almost experience it. I mean, smell, taste and touch cannot be administered through the internet just yet, but the aesthetic of the meal, the description, and also the music and part of the atmosphere can.
Was the movie "The Menu" done at this restaurant or based off of this restaurant. The setting looks the same! There was no Chef's table but the setting in the kitchen looks so familiar to the movie
