I'm from the UK and also ignored my government's advice to not travel to Russia and have visited twice in the last three months. I visited Saint Petersburg and Moscow and had a wonderful time. I felt safer walking around the streets and riding the Metro than I often do in my home country. I found the people to be respectful and welcoming throughout.
It's pretty odd how vile and stupid the Western propaganda has become. I'm surprised that more people don't react against it. But I guess, as Goebbels thought, propaganda works! You don't have to actually belive in it. It still works!
@@MoscowPhotog Thankfully you didn't get arrested and forced to the front lines to fight for Vladolph Putler , Moscow and St Petersburg are not the real Russia , if you saw the other communities you would have been horrified at the neglect by their government
Live the present, don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today. Don't let any government tell you what to do with your life. The US has been pushing anti-Russian propaganda since the cold war, and that didn't stop when the Soviet Union disintegrated. I visited Russia a few years back and the country is beautiful, the people hospitable and friendly. Follow your heart, not your politicians.

How to recognize propaganda: 1) When given a problem, fear rather than reason is used to present the solution. 2) When you're pressured into accepting the solution. 3) When you're not allowed to question the solution. 4) When the solution involves surrendering your freedoms. 5) When your eyes see one thing, but you are compelled to believe a different thing. 6) When the solution means giving small groups of people control over larger and larger things. 7) When dissenters are censored for refusing to accept the solution. 8) When dissenters are targeted by accusations from different sources, suddenly and all at once.
You must have been monitoring Canada's PM Trudeau, he's specialist in fear mongering propogandha. Too late Cansdians are figuring out it it's the propogandist that need to be feared. Propogandist aks liars.
The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why liers and murderers feel good while righteous persons are persecuted. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)
"Идите и скажите всем в чужих краях, что Русь жива. Пусть без страха жалуют к нам гости… Но если кто с мечом к нам войдёт - от меча и погибнет. На том стоит и стоять будет русская земля".
I visited Nahodka, Russia, in 1971. I was an American sailor aboard the US Coast Guard ice breaker, "Glacier." Even then, in the height of the "cold war" the Russian people in this city were courteous and friendly. I send greetings to the good people of Russia.
I visited Russia in 1985 (yes, the Soviet era) and had a fantastic time. The people were friendly and curious about Americans, and I was thrilled to see the places I had read about in art history books and Russian literature. Ahhhh, the music and art . . . God bless Russia and the wonderful Russian people.
If you are a granny with magazines about Jehovah you are in trouble in Russia for they are outlawed. "Jesus" means "Jehovah is salvation". This is the name of Christ real christians are hated for. "HalleluJah" means "Praze Jah" (Jehovah). Psalm 83: 18: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." A lot of believers await for the God's Judgment and do hate His witnesses... The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult! The name Jesus, does not mean Jehovah is salvation! You need to study Hebrew and Greek language. JWS teach that Jesus was a created being like Lucifer, which is a total lie. They altered the text in first John that says that Jesus is God. They are the only religious group in the world that did this, why is that? Over the years, they also made false predictions about the end of the world. They stopped doing this because they were always wrong and people noticed. Ask a JW about shunning. Is that something Jesus would do?

As an American living is Russia, I agree with everything said. I have faced no hostility, and feel very safe when outside. Just follow the laws, and you will be fine. Everyone I have met upon discovering I am an American have been polite, friendly, and respectful. Oh, and to Scott, go to Saint Petersburg. If you loved Moscow, you will never want to leave Peter. I spent 2.5 years teaching English there, and between the weather, the museums, the castles, the history, there is no better place in all of Russia. And while I love the area I am in now, there is something special about Saint Petersburg.

I been watching tons of Russian vloggers and they seem like very very good and moral people. Watching how they treat each other is extremely wholesome. Completely opposite of American culture where everyone is rude. I watched a video where they went to get checked for radiation because they snuck into Chernobyl to explore. They walked in and were seen the same day. The Dr. was extremely nice, helpful and professional. You would ever be treated like that in an American hospital. Oh yeah and it cost only $2 dollars for each person to get tested.
I’m from Malaysia and I’ve been to Russia on 2 occasions. Apart from Moscow, I have also visited St Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod. The country is very safe and beautiful. Looking forward to experience the trans Siberia train from Moscow to Vladivostok next
I have been to Moscow five times and to St Petersburg once, but I would like to see more of the country. I grew up in the sixties and seventies so I have been subjected to the negative propaganda about the Soviet union and later Russia. After visiting Russia I know that it is just propaganda. I don’t understand the forces broadcasting the negative propaganda, I don’t behaving in the same way. The aggression seems to be one sided. It’s so sickening that we in the west never want to get along and always think we are so superior.
Russia is more than Moscow and St Petersburg. So many beautiful places to visit. Just got back from a provincial city having spent a wonderful and safe three weeks. Go to Russia and enjoy 🇷🇺❤️
That building is so pretty. Moscow looks so modern and cosmopolitan now. I'm Australian but I'd like to see St Petersburg to see the Art they have there, it's some of the best in the World. Don't think I'll ever get there, I don't travel.
Brother of my girlfriend has an apartment in St. Petersburg, I definitely want to go visit. I am very grateful for Russian influence on European politics and society in the 20th and 21th century, I can't even imagine how bad it would have been without her help. I'm reasonably aware of the true horrors of The Empire and if you stand up to it, it has to be met with equal or greater force, one cannot walk away from that a saint. Still, the restraint and control, it is beyond what I can imagine I would have shown, but that might have something to do with the exposure to the brutal and mindless propaganda in the EU. Russia holds the hopes and dreams of the world in her hands once again this century just like the last. I tip my hat!
I’ve recently being doing a deep dive into Russian culture and current affairs. I’m pretty shocked at what I’ve learned. It’s definitely not what we are told. I would love to travel there and I know there are work arounds. The money issue would scare me. Not having my visa work would be challenging

That is why Washington is discouraging travel; they want you to fear the unknown...be very very afraid. NO, come and see it - you will love it.
Hi, murphy. You made a good point with words "they want you to fear the unknown". And to hate unknown as well, i'd say. Western establishment has pushed such narratives so many years so unfortunately a vast majority of westerners do behave accordingly.

What was YOUR departure city in the USA and what airline and route did you take to get to Russia? How much for the flight and the hotel in US dollars? YOU converted US dollars into Russian rubles and spent the rubles?
There are a handful of routes to choose from. Istanbul, Doha, and Dubai to name a few. A quick google search will give you a close estimate for flight and hotel. Take a look at my playlist “Travel to Russia” at the end of the video. I have several videos with detailed info about traveling to Russia.
In Russia, all payments are in rubles only, so you need to bring cash and exchange it for rubles at any bank (except at the airport of course, where the exchange rate for ignorant tourists). Or open a MIR card at the bank and use only the card. All you need to open the card is a passport and in 2 hours you'll have it in your hand.
