I went to see a Xhosa herbalist 🇿🇦 [S5 - Eps. 17]

In this episode, I am staying in Bulungula, on the South African wild coast. I am meeting a local Xhosa herbalist and he shows me how they use the different plants that grow there to make medicine. This is what traveling is all about in my opinion. Keep an open mind, and respect other peoples culture and believes - once you do, you will have amazing new experiences.

I started watching itchy boots just to see different places and my bike love. But now I realized that, actually itchy boots is not a travel vlog or adventure trip, but it's University run by Noraly. Where I /we have been learning all subjects - geology, history, different places, weather, people, animals, automobile, fitness , motorbike racing, police academy training , languages , foods ..OMG. But the most importantly how to behave with all people & animals. Thanks 🙏 Noraly.

So nice to learn about my own country through the eyes of a foreigner... Makes me realise how desensitised we are to our own fellow neighbours and different cultures. Its a sad indictment on where we are as a nation that (so many) hide behind high walls and have to rely on an open minded and wide eyed international explorer to open our eyes. Language has always been a barrier to understanding each others cultures, but recently that yearning to learn has been lost on us due to the competitive societal pressure for individual wealth above all else.

Also, they seem to have a lot of aphrodisiacs, even NORALY was thinking in her mind " Oh no, someone is gonna use these aphrodisiacs on me"👀😂🤣

I've been watching another guy on social media for a couple of years that take care of various snakes, among them some very venomous types, and he's been really good at demystifing and explaining how they behave, the difference between defensiveness and how they hunt, what they're curious about and so on. Fascinating to see one of those defensive charges in the wild, they often lunge at what they're threatened with, but as soon as they feel that they have the space to make their escape that's what they'll choose.

Always excited when your videos are out... every one has something unique. How do you manage to gather so much information then plan the travel and document them and upload them on time to time. Superb dedication.

Amazing with the clicking sound. Those clicking sounds are identical to some of the Navajo Language where we have words that have clicks when spoken.
