I haven't stopped talking about it since I met him. My mum and dad was so happy for me too and know how special it was for me. (It's his mum writing this for him, I've asked him to describe the camera man and he said I think he looks tall) he was too excited to even remember him I'm guessing. I'm told him the nice comment, that's why he replied to you 😊
As a Preston lad it's cracking to see what they have done with the tram, I've been going here for over 30+ years now Keith would be proud of where it is for sure.
Its all good business but i used to always go to the tram for a bag of spuds with plenty of salt and a pot of parched peas & vinegar but now its too busy and certainly would not be queueing an hour. Such a shame for locals in a rush or on lunch break.

Great to see the tram thriving. Unfortunately, I've only been once as I don't tend to visit the city centre but the time I had it was fantastic and the portion size was huge. I see this tram daily as it resides in Newton. Definitely need to get down to Preston for some spud! Great staff too!
It's funny how jacket potatoes are suddenly trendy. I remember going to the local shopping centre food court, and Spudulike was always dead. Everybody wanted McDonalds, KFC or Subway.
@@BBCBOY919 it is not the same deal though, because these guys have been building a brand for awhile and have a following where as Binley, mega Chippy was just a random meme, had nothing to do with the actual food they made that is why the hype died down
I loved meeting him. I'm his biggest fan. I couldn't even eat my jacket potato. I had just had an appointment at hospital that morning in Leeds and went straight over to Preston and it made me really happy meeting Dan the man.
I think that what happens when you go midweek. Benefits scrounges will do it to feel apart of something and not have to worry about wasting time as they don’t need to be anywhere. Shame really.

Over an hour queuing, not going to lie, i wouldn't do that as that's crazy but credit to anyone who is willing to do it, the spuds do look great but the queue would put me off.

The British school canteen system. Spend every lunch time queuing for a long time, just to get a jacket potato. It gets conditioned into us unfortunately

I've been having garlic butter on my jacket spuds for over 30 years, its gorgeous! My favourite topping is garlic butter with chilli and cheddar cheese 😊

Depends how Ur looking at the score in comparison to another jacket it's a 10/10. You could give say a McDonald's 10/10 for being very good but thats not the same as 10/10 for a Michelin star restaurant.
@@HA05GER I think I know what you are getting at, however in these vids he is rating take aways across the board, so yes you can compare different takeaway foods, such as burgers and jacket spuds.
@@ianthomas1060 yeh I also get that but if something is very tasty and you can't fault it how can you not give it a 10/10. Look at car reviews as an example as focus may fetch 4 stars and a Porsche might fetch 4. Does the focus deserve 2 stars because it's not a premium product like a Porsche? No that's how I look at it.

Can't beat a baked spud and you found a good one there. Had one tonight with a rib eye, mushrooms, onions and garlic butter. There used to be a place in Blackpool in the 70's called The Baked Potato and it was always ram, jam full. Not great in summer though.

Danny, you should head back to Preston and try a place called “Chamo”. They serve South American street food and the food is mega! It’s run by twin brothers, who are the nicest lads you’re likely to meet! It’s something a bit different, give it a go!

Next time you're in Preston you need to try Cocos soul food, best scran in Preston, maybe visit Longridge round the corner for "The Top Chippies" handmade cheese and onion pies.

These places are only nicer than the jacket potatoes you make at home because they put a tonne of butter on them, more than anyone would ever thinking of putting on at home.
They tried home made coleslaw at the beginning but people wanted the old one back 😀..... inlove the spudbros and I went same day you went you can see my kids running up to for a pic haha 😄
