@charbabyFNF he does 5 kidney dialysis treatments at home a week. He explains in a video he needs 25 hours of dialysis a week. He puts needles in himself and does them through his sleep due to his busy schedule.
Credit where credit is due. This guy's smashing it. Amazing prices, giving back to the community and putting in the work while getting the just rewards. Hats off to him.
I think people just want to experience things in life, no matter how simple they may be. But of course, there is always someone who has a negative take on something regardless of the fact that there is nothing but positivity in this video. Speaks volumes about your own wellbeing.
@@kurtisbrown9379 he's right though, its really sad to think that someones life could be so dull that a highlight for them is booking a hotel just to get a baked potato
@gtaluvr1992 I think it's quite sad that that's your perspective. I highly doubt these people are travelling to this place solely for a baked potato. They'll most likely explore the place and make a weekend out of it, with getting a potato a small highlight of it. You have zero knowledge of what the people are doing when they go. Have you asked each and every one of these "dull" people what they're actually doing when they turn up? No, of course you haven't, because you're sat here making uneducated comments about people and what they enjoy. Again, it speaks volumes on your own happiness 😊
@MattayManic No , we don't like it or enjoy queuing. It's just we have to queue. Not queuing and waiting your turn is just selfish and ignorant . When there's more than one person waiting on the same business or service , it's polite to queue and it's not fair for anyone to think they can just jump a queue .🎉
What this man really needs to hear is a thank you for helping locals. This is basically a takeout and it's priced RIGHT. To some this will be their food highlight of the weekend. Helping everyone and helping himself, it's just superb. A true Brit looking out for others, what we need so much of. I love him for this.
So glad you came to our town Danny. it is a privilege for us that you visited one of out top guys "Spudman". I have been eating at Spud man’s van for over 19 years as I work and live in town centre. Best spuds around and always 100% smack on. We are so lucky to have Ben in our town, he is a super nice guy with an incredibly generous attitude and he cares so much. We will continue support this man as in rain, snow, sun, he is there to look after our town. Thank you for visiting it means so much to all of us Tamworvians, Tammie's or Sandybacks as we are called. Keep up the good work pal.
That is one apt and beautiful sentiment. As long as smaller towns continue to have a Spudman, England is not lost. The spirit of good people carries on for a better land.
@UkL100 do you know how to spell arsehole as well? The guy who said it was a privilege was only leaving a compliment and your straight in bringing them down with your superiority complex.
@@colinbrown7305No, because it the food is shit, nobody returns or the fad doesn't last long (like Binley Mega Chippy). The food is more important, but the marketing gets the message out.
@@colinbrown7305 Not true at all, food is better then marketing because if the food isnt good people wont recommend it. Therefore no marketing and no customers.
@@TheworldisscrewedThis is where you have the difference between 'necessary' & 'sufficient' conditions. Good good is necessary to be successful, but it's not enough on its own. People have to know about you, particularly when they already have other options around & old habits taking them there.
Well done to our mate Spudman (Ben) he is an absolute amazing man he deserves so much especially with everything he has gone through. he absolutely smashed it as we knew he would line was so long yesterday (Saturday) and enjoyed by people all over from Bristol to skegness just to name a few. Glad you had the opportunity to taste such warm hearty spuds and thanks for making me want one at 2:07am 😅
Spudman has got it nailed. What he's achieved is amazing and wish him all the best going forward. Yet another awesome video Danny, I'm a new follower, so catching up with your previous videos. 👌🏻
That's how crazy humans are they'll queue for nearly 2 hours for a cheese spud because it's on tiktok but won't walk five minutes to see a family member or friend because they had a gripe with each other from years ago
Very genuine Guy is Danny - Saw him on Junior Masterchef and he was very inspirational to the young contestants and still was being himself with his table and chair and all 🙃
That was a good review , spuds start at 3 pounds with butter + 1 pound a filling it’s affordable food. Where else could 4 people be fed for that price. Good on spud man he has been trading in Tamworth for 21years so deserves to make a few quid and does a lot to promote the town and local economy
It's strange that jacket potato shops and wagons are so niche nowadays, I remember quite a few places selling jacket potatoes with fillings in the 80s and 90s, those served up by that lad there do look lovely, nice to see him doing well and all the best to him in the future.
Reminds me of my uncle. He was an army chef , was all about high volume simple but crowd pleasing scran. Consistent portions and quality and a bit of vfm. Does a mean buffet and makes his own coleslaw and scotch eggs etc etc nothing bought .
Hardest course in the army that--no one has passed yet. (jk, loved the cooks attached to my unit overseas, come back from patrol and always willing to make you a nice egg banjo and a hot cuppa if you missed meal time)
Right now yes. But social media trends come and go, they’re riding a wave and enjoying it. Without invalidating them, this is a trend. They’ll stay successful but not at this peak
Hi Danny great video and thank you for coming to Tamworth to see spudman. Ben has been doing this for 20 years now and just wish him all the best. Great video and so funny to watch 😂👍🏻
They're jacket potatoes at the end of the day, no different to those you'll find in most towns up and down the country. I wish the chap all the very best, but this simply shows the power of social media and the dreaded "influencers." A lesson to be learned for all you whippersnappers there.
@@lewis9752i can sense pain in the butt. Probably you are one of those who make own toppings :p Swimming in the sea catching fresh tuna. Growing own chillis etc 😂😂😂
I'm so jealous of you guys in the uk. When I was a visitor to England, I used to get baked potatoes. People here in the US can't believe that it would be a meal. Nor can they believe the toppings! Not really to the American taste. But, I loved the toppings, especially coleslaw. I wish now I had tried a curry topping. :-( I remember the crispy skin blackened in some places of the tater. So yummy covered in butter. Thanks for your review. I am going to tell me friends about Spudman so they can see the Brits love for potatoes in action!
@@Coxy_Wrecked Nothing, I guess is stopping me from using my home oven. But, there is really no places that sell something like a spud as Danny had. That's what I am talking about. :-)
@@handsoffmycactus2958 I’m absolutely made up for the bloke riding this wave of success, good luck to him. But people who live miles away are coming down and staying in a hotel overnight just so they can say they’ve been to this jacket potato guy….of course they’re thick! Wanting to be “in” on the latest social media/Tik Tok trend.
@@handsoffmycactus2958 I’m absolutely made up for the bloke….good luck to him making so much money from idiots. People are travelling from miles away and staying overnight in hotels for a jacket potato…of course they’re thick! Wanting to be “in” on the latest social media/Tik Tok trend 🐑🐑
Hello Danny 👋 if you're ever in kings lynn, Norfolk. There's a really good spud shop here called Renegade spudz! There's also a shop next door called Waffleoppolis, owned by the same family! Well worth a look mate! Love your videos, keep up the great work!
I found your channel 2 weeks ago and am hooked! Not fully caught up but getting there…only so many hours in the day. Friendly advice Danny…incorporate exercise, working out into your daily routine. Take care mate and stay healthy!
It's literally a potato with tinned crap on it. He seems like a top bloke but don't blow smoke up your own behinds. It's nothing special. God people aren't half sheep 😂😂😂😂😂
It's amazing how many people will queue an hour for something they could cook at home in under 45 minutes for 1/4 of the price!! The power of social media eh?😂 That said, the prices for a takeaway are amazingly good, and the volume of customers proves the quality must be great too.. well done that man!!
Great review and video. Food looks delicious and the owner was great. I live in Redditch and on holiday from work next week so you know my destination as its only a stones throw from me ❤
Thank you Danny for standing up for public sector workers, they are indeed very, very hard working. Those parking wardens are the norm not the exception.
This country has gone mad. Why the hell are people booking hotels for a jacket potato and tinned chilli. Kevin and Perry stood there watching him eat for half a hour aswell 😂
Wouldn't catch me waiting more than 10 minutes for any food, no matter how good it is. These tiktok food places are great for small businesses but the ques are ridiculous for some of them.
It’s a jacket potato for Christ sake, you would think that people had never had a potato before, the power of you tube and pink hair, queue up for an hour and after you’ve eaten it……it was a potato?
Cameraman wearing a helmet haha, we've already seen your face pal it's on google images :P Been to this place myself it is proper nice and he does really pack the spud with toppings too, top bloke deserves to be succesful.
Fair play to the bloke for doing so well but this is almost embarrassing. People travelling across the country, waiting in a queue for hours to get a potato.
It's crazy how the British conquered the whole world and had access to the most unique foods out there, and the best they came up with is a baked potato with a ton of butter, 3 kilos of cheese and baked beans... You guys never disappoint.
Lmfao the cameraman wearing a helmet and love the videos danny. Big respect to spudman for giving back to the community and making big all the best ratemytakeway team.
What’s to be admired and appreciated is that you Danny, are building community. You’re generating so much goodwill and good feelings amongst complete strangers and that’s a bit rare these last years. You’re a treasure mate.
Amazing history from WIKI - Tamworth was the principal centre of royal power of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Mercia during the 8th and 9th centuries!!! Danny is the new conqueror
