In today's video, i visit the cheapest best rated makeup artist in my city on yelp! Follow me on Instagram: @joudi_d Business Inquiries : Judydbusiness@gmail.com
he did your makeup like you were his daughter or something like so softly and didn't say anything rude like some of the other artists in the other videos like...he's so great
Totally agree. You can tell he just wanted to do something pretty and make her feel special. Like, he's not sure about it, but he knew he wanted pretty and girly
I'd love to donate to this guy having decent tools. He seems kind to judy and like he legit cares about his work just maybe just misfortunate and does not have the means to afford more tools.
Exactly what I was thinking. Makeup brands should help people like him, instead of sending expensive PR in super fancy packaging to all these beauty gurus/influencers.
And it was the cheapest. He couldnt Afford to buy himself expensive products, utensils/ brushes from the money he is offered by the customers. He needs to higher the price and with the money buy himself good brushes and products. He is really very talented Artist. He deserves to get chance. Somebody needs to donate him expensive brushes and all.
Its been a year, you should visit him again and see of he builded his skills and bought tools. If not, at least gift him a set of simple brush set 😄 the guy did a good job
You're lucky. Genuinely, I break out if even I use fingers on my face. I would definitely ask a MUA to use a brush or equivalent. Also it's just unsanitary in general. Edit: I realise some don't have those materials. I've only had my make-up done once before prom, but if I ever return to the salon for make-up I'll be sure to have sanitary materials on me just in case.
With the way he uses his hands, I think he's a graphite artist or someone who works with oil pastels. I wouldn't want to underestimate him just cause he's not using all the best tools. He has an artist fo real. He puts on make up like he was painting.
he cleansed and moisturized her skin, as well as put hydrating lip balm on her. And he was so gentle. What a sweetheart.. He deserves the best tools, imagine the work he could do then :)!!
noone has everything from the very start (unless u have a rich mom/dad), I'm pretty sure he takes pride in his job and loves it. Lets hope he gets somewhere. Everyone starts low if u play fair.
He cleansed, moisturized, asked questions, was gentle, hygene was good, technique was good, and the look he did was the best I've seen on her in 1 of these best/worst videos. Give him a prize!
Everyone commenting about his hands. A lot of make up legends and celebrity make up artists use their hands to blend makeup into the skin. The warmth from your finger allows the makeup to melt into your skin seamlessly leaving the skin looking natural and flawless!
Exactly what I was going to comment...Charlotte Tillbury herself likes using her hands to apply the foundation, I remember learning that from her years ago...We didn’t always have beauty blenders
The foundation and hands is not what we (I) meant. He was using Q tips for concealer... and only had one eyeshadow brush. Which means he wants to use brushes. Judy has said in previous videos her city is not the most wealthy place and its hard to have big brand makeup and brushes shipped to them.
I am a professional makeup artist and makeup instructor and I can tell right off the bat that this makeup artist has talent, he just needs right tools and supplies and a technical foundation. It’s obvious he understands color and what works and doesn’t work. It seemed as though he took pride in his work and enjoyed it too. How was his attitude and demeanor? If someone in your country could take him under their wings and teach him technique this guy could go really far. I’d love to gift him brushes and supplies.
I think this is my favorite makeup look on you. That MUA has natural talent. He picked very complimentary colors for you. Although he was lacking in tools, he had great technique and created a very beautiful look for you. And he was so gentle while he was working on your skin. I think he's my favorite MUA so far 👍
Y’all he left a comment saying he prefers using fingers. He has equipment but has his own way of doing it. Using a different brush for every stroke isn’t what makes a professional a professional. I have like 100 brushes and use the same like...5. And I do use my fingers too. It’s not a big deal.
yeah honestly I don't bother using the 'right' brushes, as long as the few ones I got get the job done the way I intend, who cares lol. and I use my fingers a lot too
The mua has potential. With a better kit and brushes i bet he can practice on some beautiful makeup looks. He did a good job on you.. The eye look goes great with Your eye color. The techniques were on point especially if he had brushes
Judy, I was in the middle of the worst break up of my life when you put this video up. Today its like 1.5 years ago, so I came back to this video. It reminds me of how lost and hurt I was, I was in such a dark place. This video kept me calm. I watched it like 10000 times, and it helped me sleep and get through the night. You have no idea how it helped me get through. Thank you. Please visit this mua again, and have a wonderful Christmas
This comment was so vulnerable & raw. So very lovely. I agree this video too is something different; meaning I felt peaceful watching this. He is truly an artist , you can tell by the way he uses his fingers, he was so soft. 🖤
I know that this is a pretty old video and that there aren't a lot of people that will to this but I honestly just want to say that this is, I think, the most nicest and calming video that Judy has ever made. The way that the make-up artist did her make-up with such care and softness, to the finished result of the make-up being very cute on you, and lastly, the soundtrack. The choice of music here, Chef',s kiss!! It added this really calming and mystical to the video. And also, I've been OBSSESED in knowing what it is and i really hope someone would respond to this
It sounds similar to windergarten's marble piano but I don't think it's that music that was used in this video, and I would sincerely appreciate it if someone were to reply to me
I'm kind of sad for him. He has potential but not the material to express it. Also he look kind and sweet. It's great for you after those rude af 'professionals'
Ore Lys feel the same about this MUA ! He should be gifted with all the necessary make up tools . How genuine it is to do such a beautiful job having so few professional tools
If you watch the worlds top make up artists who make up Models....Celebrities....do Red Carpet looks they use their fingers exactly as he did. His application technique was very good. One of the worlds greatest make up artists doesn't use brushes.....applying foundation his technique was excellent
You don’t need an entire case of “tools” to do makeup well. I like that he took his time. He did NOT need the fancy “techniques”. This looked WAY better than any of the fancy salons you have gone to.
Honestly, out of all of your videos I've seen(which is kind of a lot at this point because I'm on a Judy marathon), he is definitely the most GENTLE. The look is actually really cute and summery! I'm impressed at what he accomplished with the limited tools.
Good artists don’t need expensive tools and expensive tools don’t make a better artist. He deserves more tools but the fact that he can do so well with less high end stuff shows he has GOT IT 💕
If you have a crappy brush that’s falling apart, or eyeshadows that have no pigment (which usually occurs in cheap brands), it’s hard to work with. I can agree, this guy is VERY good at what he does, but the tools you use to matter-a lot actually. As an artist, I can confirm, if you have a crappy tool, you usually have a crappy outcome because it’s either overall hard to work with, falling apart, unsaturated/pigmented, and that can effect the end product.
This MUA is the best I’ve seen you go too, your face looked beautiful and flawless, they completely enhanced your natural beauty which is what makeup is mainly about They were so respectful and gentle with you It’s like this person is a artist painter or sculpts The end result is so pretty
You should leak the salon address and let us send him everything he needs. He did such a great job with literally no materials and I can't imagine what he would do with an entire box of tools. Maybe he prefers it that way, but this look was so good and flattering on you.
not using a brush does not mean not having tools or techniques. 10 years ago or maybe even less, makeup was done with only two brushes and q-tips and FINGERS. he was probably an old school artist. Even Bobbi Brown tells you fingers are the best blenders!!!
See it’s these businesses that I love. Down to earth, they communicate with their customers and are polite. This was so wholesome and made me so happy.
He did so well! Imagine if he was given a chance to have professional teach him few tips and tricks, give hime some tools and viola - he could be one of the best MUAs!
I agree but i would think most people will tip more because of his talent, he'll retain customers, and more people can afford his service. In the long run, cosmetologists only have a costumer base and reviews to grow their business.
Honestly a ton of celebrity makeup artist recommended using fingers for a more natural blend. A brush can create harsh lines but the warmth of fingers help melt the foundation into the skin for a “I’m naturally perfect” look.
That’s like saying take away the scalpel and the surgeon wouldn’t be world class 😂 of course if you take away their tools they wouldn’t do the same job.
Mary Greenwell, one of the most well-known professional makeup artists in the industry (she did Princess Diana’s makeup!) uses her fingers for foundation too. She says brushes waste product and are dirty. Definitely can’t fault him for using his fingers too. 🥺
Would love to donate some brand new makeup brushes and some Sephora cosmetics that I just recently purchased (never been use) to this potential makeup artist ♥️
I love watching this guy. He’s a real artist. Just shows that success in this field is mainly talent, gentleness, and customer service. You look gorgeous. I think he was “in touch” with you. :) beautiful job.
The fact he used his RING FINGER to apply the moisturiser under the eye is amazing! One lesson I took from Michelle Pham is that the ring finger is the most gentle. Overall not a bad look 😍
Peeti Brooking she says it was the most clean finger I used to watch her videos a lot. When you have an oily finger applying makeup it won’t work correctly.
I have a little experience in make up, because I went to several Mary Kay classes. I hardly use it, myself. But yes, the ring figure is the best finger to use.
@@Fiefaen its not that its the cleanest finger, its that its very gentle and the weakest finger and doesnt apply alot of pressure on the delicate undereyes , as to not create premature wrinkles or irritate and pull the skin 😊
I don’t think that gifting him tools would help he is an artist,, and as an artist myself I can tell you we love creating things out of nothing especially the highligher part and the way of perfectioning shades by fingers .. it’s art :))
I am an "artist " too and someone who love experimenting with makeup. yes the look turned out to be so so so cute . I really love it . ha have very soft , light hand .also he doesn't tag the skin as other worst review make up artists do .the way he pulled her under eyes with his pincky is so gental . but don't forget she probably wiped it off as soon as she went home . skin is similar to canvas but not really . humans produce oil ,sweat and tears . sometimes skin can be overmoistrised sometimes it's more dry .othertimes it's oily and patchy at the same time .a make up artist should consider all those factors. I am not assuming the make up instantly creased but I am not sure if it stayed all day .imagine if she was a bride or had a photoshoot .and as an artist drawing with anything makes you creative but the colours of your painting will fade eventually it won't last for decades and more likely you won't see the defrience in short period .therefore I don't recomande it .i did a painting once when I mixed guash with babypowder it looked so good at the beginning but now it looks very faded.
He blended that eyeshadow so good with his fingers!!! Pat McGrath is known to use fingers for makeup application and she is a world famous makeup artist. She loves using them. Clean hands>dirty brushes anyday.
Probably my favourite one so far. I wish he had all the possible tools. Kind of sad he doesn't. He has true talent and is very kind and polite. Maybe we could all together collect some money and get the best tools for him? 😊
using a cutip instead if a brush is actually so smart. he can get a clean one everytime. he is so innovative! i love the effortless way he applied your makeup
I never comment on these type of vids but this time I feel I need to: his gentleness, determination (the struggle to work without proper tools is real af) and his sense of colors (that foundation work is priceless) plus your brilliant choice of music (great taste) in particular parts of the video made this all a breath-of-fresh-air journey into human's potential. Thank you. 💜
Best MUA experience I've watched you ENJOY! To me, getting such a lovely look with mostly his hands just shows talent and creativity, to me, it shows a level of passion too, I'm so happy to finally see you with perfect matched foundation and the whole look just works, it flows, it's simple yet elegant. And he didn't bash your face around, shave your eyebrows, blow on you or make rude remarks. He was very professional. I've been watching your videos for about 3 weeks now so still soooo much to catch up on, but this is the best I've seen so far x
This person clearly really cares about his clients and loves makeup! He’s so gentle and considerate of Judy’s face and he uses the products for HER face not trying to make her someone else 🤣 While a lot of her videos are about pointing out how bad some places can be, they’re also about finding the hidden gems like this person!
I want to protect this man at all costs. He's so good and seemed genuinely dedicated to his job. Someone please start a gofundme to get him some actual tools
@@Sarah-yj6yl it's a figure of speech. People use this when they think that someone is "pure/innocent/angelic". Like protect them from society and evil human beings...
Wow, he is actually an amazing artist. He was so resourceful and he actually blended the make up flawlessly with his fingers ?!? So crazy! Your eyebrows look amazing
I don’t think it’s that he didn’t have any brushes, it’s more that he was using disposable items instead which means you’re getting clean, fresh tools for each person! 😄
wait its so cute how gentle he was!! and he actually did really good omg awh 🥺💘 someone needs to get him some real tools cause he would be BOMB with them (unless he prefers using his hands skksk) 💗 also his colour matching skills are absolutely amazing and crazy how quickly he can do it omg 😳💘
Judy is so relaxed in this video tbh, she smiles a lot (like a relaxed tiny grin) throughout the whole process. That's super sweet to see! (Thanks to the poor MUA who tried his genuine best)
Just looking at him, working, you can tell he's gentle and knows what he's doing! Looks so relaxing. And another thing - when you're that good, you obviously don't even need tools!
The end result was actually incredible. For what little he had, he did an AMAZING job. Your eyebrows are awesome. The foundation shade was perfect. How gentle he was was very impressive and relaxing. He needs the proper equipment to really excel. I truly believe that.
Probably one of the best looks ( out of worst+ best makeup artists) Absolutely loved the way he handled your face. I almost fell in love with how gentle he was🥹💓
