Raven found a really nice Trio of Carson City (CC) Morgan Silver Dollars 1880/79 CC Morgan Dollar, 1884 CC Morgan Dollar MS64, & an 1882 CC Morgan Silver Dollar MS64! Ooh wee brother! That reverse on the 84 is every bit of a 65 brotha!! Man, Don't we wish the obverse was just as good as the Reverse on most of these CC's!! Sweet coins! And I have that 80 over 7 but it's the Reverse of the 78 with the straight/flat nock feather, but it's def not B-U or even as close to B-U-tiful as that one! They should be on the auction Preview with a link for price. The 80/79 books for around $925 Retail. 1882 and 84 Books for about $425 Retail. I had misquoted a minute ago

What's a good CC Morgan to start with? I don't have any

That really depends on your budget. The more common years are 1882-84, but in UNCIRCULATED condition, they run $350 for an MS63. Or in a GSA holder. Well, circulated ones go for about $200. Sometimes, you can get them for about $160, but they will be well circulated. .

Peace are easier to collect for me since there easier to verify. Morgans have way too many variations to remember.

1883/1884 CC's are the most overrated coins in the Morgan series. Plentiful out there only priced high because of the CC...

It's a basic fundamental of economics. Supply and Demand. Just like any commodity or item for sale in the world. It's worth what people are willing to pay. The 82 is also in the same category.
