One thing I do have to say that I am dissapointed with are 7th edition foils. I'm not a true investor, but I do have a solid collection with many sought after cards, including some fairly decent and played 7th foils. The ones I own have been declining slowly for the last few years. It seems like that might be a trend. Rudy is right though; I love the cards and will keep collecting simply because I like them. But, I also enjoy it when my higher end cards go up too

I love tcgs, how can anyone not be excited. Its a game you can hold in you hand that maintain a study increase in physical value, They money will come, just play, or show the cards if you don't have time, and things will work out.

I think the difference between 2008 and 2023 is the availability and transmission of information. The 2008 crash really snuck up on us. In 2023, we can take out our pocket computers and monitor markets, and follow trends every day. I think we're still going to have a crash, but people will be more prepared. The fact that there was a precious metals shortage over the last couple of weeks is proof of lack of confidence in the market and leveraging physical assets. Also the oil industry moving from the dollar to a different currency for trades between nations is showing a lack of faith in fiat currency and the weakening of the USD and the announcement of FedNow moving into a CBDC based currency is going to shake things up majorly in the next 2 years. That's my two cents...

People are 100 % saving up money for march of the machine and especially lord of the rings. I am big into the lotr gift bundles, have like 30 of this as preorder for 57-59 Euros. Its 1 collecter booster (30-35 Euro) 8 Boosters (8*6-7 Euros) and the usual goodies in the box. I can easily see the box going up to 90 euros like the phyrexia compleat fat pack, which was 60 euros preorder and now its 95-100 euros or even 105 i saw some buys. idk who the supply is in NA, but here in EU there are over 400 boxes you can preorder between 59-69 euros, only one one website.
