I'm from England and I have had the great fortune to meet so many of the Irish, and what a wonderful type they are. "Never a dull moment"! Without adout the greatest ever musicians.Wonderful!

I'm not sure where we're all travelling Brian, but hopefully you will be both reunited again someday, and then never to be parted again. Look up Christy Moore singing Nancy Spain, the lyrics you will love I'm sure.

Back again, my wife and I celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary this year, ev'ry time I hear this song it makes me realise how much I love her! Cheers Finbar!!
Finbar, you are still one of the best I have ever heard, I posted a comment on this song for my wife 6 years ago , now we are just about to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and this song still says it all! Fair play
That’s what Bob Dylan has done to me since I was 15. Why I’m still alive. Bob kept me keepin on. Thru it all. Still does. I need to keep Bob alive so I can live too. And so many others he’s kept going. X
absolutely wonderful love song. Tom Paxton's version is the best I have heard, but this is terrific as well. You have to love someone, relly love them to write this. I would want this played at my funeral for my wife to let her know how much i love her.
machree01; God I love this song. This is one of my favs from The Furey Brothers! It always brings a tear to my eye, whenever I hear it. Thank you. GC88.
the no dislikes speaks for itself,!! just watched a program on tv about finbar. Such a humble and talented man. A rare commodity in these troubled music times!!
jetjane 1968 sorry to hear about your loss you have allways have this song to remind you of her i saw the fureys 2 years ago cant wait to se them again
les collins thanks for your kind words les your right will always remind me of jane she died of terminal cancer just 46 just so unfair .miss her so much .we loved going to watch the fureys live I will go and watch them but it will never be the same again .all the best to you les
i never knew this song was actually out there as it was used as a kind of intro to a film that was made about my late wife called My name is Jane back in i think about 1989
I actually spoke with Mr. Furey 2 years ago -a wonderful, wonderful guy. He mentioned how the only thing he hates nowadays is that the music scene is so disposable and that he might have caught a STD from deephogs mother several years ago.
You need your eyes and ears tested if you think Davey Arthur is singing this. Lead vocals and banjo are Finbar Furey and Davey Arthur is at the back of the stage on guitar.
Not a bad performance, but I've always preferred the original writer's version (Tom Paxton): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1uzbHi13wBA.html
