They play lots of angels and clerics so the temples are there for flavor lmao.

I'd like to believe that all of the off-color temples were put in to implement the world's most ambitious sideboard, but then the deck builder forgot to save after adding the sideboard.

If anyone ever doubted that sideboard stuff is the hardest part of magic and new players hate it, this series definitely proves it

Seth I LOVE your videos. I almost always watch all of your content from start to finish. The only criticism I have is that the meme or dream decks are usually super fun to watch for 1 or 2 BO3 but then after that it gets a bit stale watching you try to slog it out with a deck that is usually very memey. I would love to see you evaluate the deck after 1 or 2 games and then point out its strengths and weaknesses, then add in upgrades and see if it performs better. It would give some spice to the series and it would be both educational AND entertaining.

I personally love the upgrade/deck building theory break down bit at the end.

I just wanna point out that (if built right) an Orzhov cleric deck can have some pretty serious synergy in general. ☝️

Here's my Cleric Angel life-gain deck. It's actually pretty good, and a lot of fun. I'm still working on the sideboard though www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/3746198#paper I use Pyre of Heroes whick let's you get Righteous Valkyrie more consistently. Also it is amazing with Orah. Having a duplicate Orah gives you a double trigger, and netting possibly two Valkyrie can mean a lot of life-gain

65 cards is a big brain play you put the sideboard in the main deck so you never lose.

I think if you can lands some hits with Angel of Destiny wearing Light of Promise, you basically win. It grows super fast and dodges most removal, but getting to that point is asking a lot, especially in this build.

Not sure how often you hear this, but I would love to see aMeme or Dream Redemption Spinoff, where you replay the decks after making the changes that you recommend in the post game analysis.

I'm not sure about the decision to cut youthful valkyrie. A tougher storm crow feels like one of the better cards in this deck.

I kinda wanna grind ladder so I can try to 6-0 with a gladiator deck for the rest of the season.

I actually have a Orzhov Clerics deck in historic that's mean but man if Indulging Patrician was a Cleric it'd be super dope. Why they made it a noble I don't understand.

This deck is actually pretty good by virtue of beating Sultai Yorion reliably. By having a good match-up against arguably the best deck in Standard, I could definitely see this deck being a dark horse.

Does Turntimber Ranger and Maskwood Nexus go infinite? If so, add Corpse Knight?

This looks like the type of Deck I would make. TnT why can't I get good cards from packs, all I get are meh cards. I don't even have helios for goodness sake. Also Indulgent Patrician is the best. Its healing and damage wrapped up into one convenient flying tanky package.

Basically even if something is extremely unlikely to happen, given enough trials it will eventually happen. Time for the geometric calculator!

love the series, but i have to say you tend to pick those decks which don't have sideboards, i just went to the website and most decks listed there have a sideboard, not all but most.

I wonder could a argument be made for having no sideboard but having all your silver bullet sideboard card in your main deck so that game 1 you can luck into a card that completely crushes your opponent then sideboard out the cards for 2-3 once you know what you are facing?

Seth is probably the only person that seems to think Marauding Blight Priest is better than Kunoros, Light of Promise, and Indulging Patrician.

I don't get why you cut Kunoros so much in a deck with so many iffy cards. The stats on that card alone make it a better top-deck than most of the things in the deck and it gains life to synergize with the other stuff. Seems hard to justify keeping a Marauding Blight Priest over it...

I'll say it again: these MoD decks can be explained by MMR. Each player has a hidden MMR score that is based on win-loss record and other factors. Newer players and bad players have low MMR. In ranked, the game matches you with opponents with similar MMR. So newer/bad players will be matched with other newer/bad players. This also means you can still climb the ladder to platinum and above when you are a newer/bad player, since your opponents are also newer/bad. Very questionable decks can go 6-0 in platinum or above if you are paired against bad opponents. The MoD decks are not being matched against good players playing optimized tier 1 decks (i.e., people with high MMR). Seth probably has a fairly high MMR, so it's like he's taking a champion peewee baseball team and matching them with a MLB team.

I don't really like how this series is evolving. I expected this series to be more abut tier 3 decks, convoluted combos, and exploring new archetypes... but its being more about porly built decks. I'm missing more content like the old small Japanese tournaments desks on the channel. I think the worst part of this series is that the cards that do something in this bad decks are the well known cards that define the format, we have seen Winota ,Landfal … and in this case if there is 3 playable decks on standard I’m completely discouraged to play anymore.

somehow i get matches against decks with more than 100 cards in them.

So, in less than a week, I got into the Top 1200 in Mythic for the 1st time ever. I went from Low Platinum to Mythic's 96% (with my own brew of Mono White Aggro, SPICY) in about a week. I was blown away cuz I suck at Magic! Hah! ...Anyways, the point I'm trying to state, is that in the last 2 days, I've played against alot more Angel builds in the Top 1500.

I'm fairly certain wizards system can't record the side boards which is why they never seem to provide them

I don't know man... this series is quickly losing it's appeal. It's aggainst the odds, but instead of an interesting or fun idea it's just a bad deck. I'd rather see another against the odds instead of meme or dream videos
