Anyone else would have taken 45 mins to get through this list. Making things digestible is key and you delivered. Appreciate your attention to editing!!
Don't forget to mention how informative it is and *FREE* Did I mention the video could be 5 years long, but is actually 8 minutes and full of FREE information?
I know touchscreen is a bonus feature for many, but as an intermediate cross country/track runner and Garmin fanboy, I actually hated the touchscreen on my old Apple Watch and do not care giving it up. The solid buttons are a bonus for me (Garmin Forerunner 45)
I did the exact same thing. I was also in xc and had an Apple Watch SE for about 1.5 years before I decided I'd had enough of the feeling of always having a "wrist phone". Bought a Forerunner 45 as its replacement. Never regretted that decision.
My Frist tracker was an old Samsung galaxy gear sports.. I still miss the lunette to scroll through fitness tracker . Garmin at least has buttons what's gold when it's raining
I really thought I was gonna hate this video but I loved the amount of info and the efficiency with time use. I got everything really needed from this video. Thank you!
@@alessandra_pia I was just searching for like a chart, some kind of table with a list of products and like notable features. I didn’t want to sit for a whole video to find out but the content was actually informative. I think I had already went through a few videos that didn’t really say much or give the info I needed so I was already frustrated lol
It would be great to get some of your thoughts on which tracker/app/software provides the best insights from the data collected. I approached you said the data can be wrong but which app added the most value to you and helped you shape your behaviours/lifestyle.
I literally clicked on this video to find this exact info. I’m in only 36 seconds and this comment saved me from wasting my time watching the whole thing
Apple watch battery life is atrocious. You have to charge it every day, ugh. Garmin holds a charge for over a week. I ran a 50k ultra race and still had 60% battery life. Apple watch also doesn’t have a good heart rate sensor. Apple watch may be good for lots of things, but it’s not a good fitness tracker.
watch Quantified Scientist! Apple Watch consistently has the best HR monitor compared to the gold standard. I like the Apple Watch because it covers a lot more use cases - Garmin is nice if i'm doing outdoor runs/workouts
that's objectively wrong. The Apple Watch has the most accurate heart rate sensor of any watch currently on the market. But the battery life sucks, yeah
The Apple Watch battery makes it useless for me. Plus I think it’s ugly AF, my opinion. “Safe and connected” heard this many times. I don’t know which marketing company started this phrase but it’s cringe, that’s fact. Actually loved the Amazon halo, your joke was great “hey Jeff” but sadly it’s discontinued. Going with Oura for now. Might get a Garmin when I get into more extreme workouts.
I stick my FitBit Charge 5 to my arm with a CGM sticker. It's so much better than wearing a watch. I am looking for affordable screenless options. Unfortunately the Amazon Halo band is not available in Australia and the Whoop costs a billion dollars a year for data that isn't much better than the Charge 5. Looking forward to the next gen of screenless health trackers
Curious about the charge 5. I primarily need the heart rate, pulse ox, and sleep tracker. Are these features available, in real-time 24/7 visibility, without a subscription? Thank you.
@@thegiggler2 I ended up moving to the inspire 3. I got some quality 4cm body tape (like the brown one you can get at pharmacies for $5) and use that. Taped to my tricep, the battery lasts 10 days and the tape lasts 3-5 days - but I change it every day or every other day. I've been doing this for over a year now and it's great. You can't even feel it! You get more accurate readings and don't need to wear it as a watch.
Hi Shervin, do you think any have better longevity/durability (by that I mean time before breaking down or reductions in performance as opposed to battery life) compared to the others? My Fitbit just died after two years usage.
I haven't seen anyone mention G-Shock. The GBDH-2000 has inbuilt GPS, heart monitor, easy to operate buttons, no touchscreen, no mic, vibe alert for calls, can view texts, long battery life thanks to Solar assisted charging. Its primarily a watch! Beeps and chirps like a casio and has an MIP display which is better to read than old lcd and without the infobombardment of a smart screen. There was talk of casio improving the app layout and user experience of the fitness tracking app though i havent checked for an update on that since a year ago, so it should be better by now. They use Polar software. I like that it looks and functions primarily as a watch, and is 20 metres waterproof and drop proof
a slim one for the wrist and a small heart rate sceen for hit sessions. small sensors on two sides so u can wear it palmside or backhand. bonus hr monitoring data to phone all day and during sleep if possible.
Are the shoe pods okay for accurate steps if just walking vs running? I'm disgusted by the recent & ongoing inaccuracy of Fitbit's Android app (coupled with Inspire 3). The bugs started with rel. 4.x.x of the Fitbit app) & after 14 yrs of using Fitbit I am considering alternatives. I actually wear an older Samsung smartwatch with the Inspire. I hate to stop using it b/c I designed a lot of watchfaces I love for it. But step tracking (on a treadmill) is not accurate (& is off by about 1,000 fewer steps than my tracker displays).
I use an iphone, but I am confused between Apple watch SE and fitbit charge 5. My purpose is to track my sleep and health figures. I dont workout right now but Will start soon. My budget is 100-300 Euros. Which ones do you recommend ? Also, are features like ECG, Body temperature sensor very important?
Hello! Do you know if on Apple Watch I can edit the distance after indoor run? Because it is not correct 😢😢😢 I know in Garmin it is possible but I just got AW 9 and I’m disappointed it is not accurate
Im trying to find one that tells me calories burned etc from workouts like lifting etc and not just from cardio (running, biking etc) any recommendations anyone?
Hey Shervin. I run 10km on a daily basis. But, from last week my Shins are hurting while running and after the workout as well. Have you experienced this? And what’s the solution for this problem? 😢
I think that’s what I should do. Thanks Shervin!! Can’t wait to see your channel grown more and more!! I have introduced your channel to my running buddies!! Also, why do keep the Always On off on the Ultra?
I had major shin splints for my first 3 years in the Army. I tried everything and the only thing that worked was when I did a deep massage, getting out all the knots for about an hour each leg. Never had the issue again and it’s been 8 years with a bunch of running
I used a pixel watch 2 for 5 months only to track my workout, and the glue to keep the upper and lower part of the watch together fail and my watch broke in 2
One of the problems that people face. The fear of not being connected and somehow not being safe because you’re not always connected. And I had an Apple Watch that I used as a fitness tracker. I sold it because it stressed me out. I went back old school and wear a G-Shock for my 30 minute runs. It’s all I need. Anything else is superfluous
How do you wear the watches on the same wrist 😳 I have both the ultra and the fenix 7x and I’m worried they would rub on each other 😂. I agree with you on those two for the tops though but that’s what works for me and it will be different for everyone.
Hey Shervin....I struggle with the duplication of data from Whoop and Apple Watch in Apple Health...how do YOU deal with that? You have multiple sources of data coming in, how do you set up Apple Health to manage that well?
@@ShervinShares future fit and CoPilot are up there. I’m always looking for interesting personal trainer workouts. Fascinating you mentioned Google Fit being great on iOS. I need to try that. I love the encouragement from you to just show up everyday to whatever workout goal you have. I need that as well.
Hey, I've a question. Which one is better to buy - garmin forerunner 245 or coros pace 2. I've found offers that offer them at the same prize. I'm a beginner, started training track and field september and strated running on treadmill, but i want to strat tracking my values.
Hi! I would really love to see a review of the RingConn and how it compare to other tracker. It is currently in production but they have ship some in beta to a few RU-vidr to review it !
@@ShervinSharesI wear the Oura Ring, Apple Watch Ultra, and the Garmin Fenix 7X. I am always comparing their performance when doing my workouts: weight training, walking and biking. You have stated a few times recently that the numbers in your wearables differ. I agree. But it’s been my observation that the heart rate monitors are quite close. In fact, I don’t think that the Ultra’s monitor is better or worse than the 7x. I think they’re equally good. This differs from several other RU-vid channels. In these cases, the claim is that the Ultra’s monitor is better than other wrist heart rate brands. Perhaps you want to compare these to the Polar chest strap? Check this out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dDtt98gJjrY.html Just a thought. If not, perfectly okay. Keep up the great work, Shervin.
@@ShervinShares Thank you for your reply. Access as in overcrowded? Running has its advantages. I used to travel a crazy amount, then rope skipping and yoga were my alternatives.
I definitely agree with you on the Apple Watches, I recently got my first ever Apple Watch in October. I have the 1st Gen SE 40mm from the Apple Refurb Store and I really like it for a first watch, you’ve definitely gotten me excited about the Ultra though, I think it’s a really cool watch. Thanks for the great content again, Shervin!!
