I have clinical depression, been on heavy medication for almost 2 years, am now 50 kilos overweight, most things in life still feel pointless but I’ve started dragging myself to the gym over the last few months. This video couldn’t have come on my feed at a better time. Thank you for sharing your story and your approach to life. Watching this video has made me feel hopeful about my own ability to change life for the better.

Mark. I've said it before but I just love your clean cut, straight to the point, honest approach. In an generation of fake RU-vid wannabees, that make content just for likes. brilliant Mark, this was the video I needed this week, thanks for the motivation and straight talking, it really resonates. I went out for my first outdoor ride on the weekend after only riding on the Wahoo, and came acropper twice (including head butting a pole), but it was magnificent and I really pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Coming into road cycling as a 43 year old is confronting, but totally worth it, and it’s nice to not feel alone in these sorts of bonkers journeys! 😆🙌

I'm genuinely pleased when I see you have a new video out.. I'll put time aside to watch them well and enjoy them. As to why I do that with yours and not others? The content is great. But it's much more a combination of your story telling and your personality. Your honesty and your willingness to share elements of your not so 'RU-vid shinny' struggles, are key for me. The jokes and the dog are cherry on the cake. Thanks and keep at it.

Mark. Love your content and I'm happy I found your channel by accident some months ago. Your USP is your honesty and the relatable way in which you cover your subjects. Very inspirational. I found myself at 40, out of shape, over weight and generally unfulfilled in life. Your videos have become one aspect of a range of things I now use to get fitter, faster and stronger (hopefully happier as well, we'll see) I thought my best years were behind me and had been squandered, your videos help me see that's not the case if I don't want it to be.

Hi Mark, thanks for the way in which you convey your thoughts, experiences and ideas. In a world so jaded its refreshing to just hear someone speak and not repeat or provide a sermon. I admire people who have the resilience that I lack , I am not sure the pressure and stress you were subjected to and what questions you asked of yourself at that time, the manner in which you were able to move through it with bravery and clarity is very humbling and makes me question my lack of fight when confronted with seemingly overwhelming issues. I stumbled upon your channel , RU-vid timing was impeccable , please continue to do the human stories and experiences along with the physical, both are equally important. Thanks again for your energy and insights. Finn
