Was Vanessa sexually assaulted/harrassed in fort hood? Yes. Is this message Extremely important & needs to be spread? absolutely. Is Karina's story also Extremely tragic? Yes. All of this is true, all of this is sick & sad & needs to be changed. HOWEVER at the end of the day, it makes no sense making Vanessa the martyr for all of this when she didn't die because of her SA. That was an entirely separate issue that was the initial reason her family fought to find her & what made ft hood first dismiss her disappearance as an AWOL case. They knew of her misconduct reports & that's why they didn`t want her disappearance looked into at first. It's also the reason why the Guillen family sought-after legal help with her investigation. Her murderer was not the one(s) who harrassed/assaulted her, if it was, she would not have been in the artillery room alone with him. Perpetuating this narrative just leads to misinformation about her death & you should be ashamed for doing so.
Robinson was her predator. Her mom called him out before they knew he was being investigated. Also I can't imagine ignoring orders of your superior in the Army.

That man was dealing with his own lies & demon, he was riddled with paranoia & was scared Vanessa was going to tell on him for adultery because that's very illegal in the military. Spreading misinformation that her killer was the same as her assailant allows the gross sexual misconduct to continue. It's wrong. It's false. Do more research. If Robinson had sexually assaulted her, why would he kill her later when her misconduct reports weren't even taken seriously? Why we should be in the artillery room with him alone, superior or not. He was separate from the sexual assault, that's why they couldn't pin him with motive until they caught him through his gf & her secret posts admitting to helping him hide her body. Why would she help him if Vanessa was involved with robinson like that at all?? It makes zero sense. Vanessa's murder is extra tragic because she was 100% an innocent bystander victim to the sick decisions of Robinson & his paranoia.

I live in TX, my best friend was in the military when this whole thing was happening in the news so it felt very personal. That's why i went looking for ALL the sources instead of just watching one yt video or documentary. Vanessa's S.A was the leading reason why her family didn't accept the AWOL possibility ft hood was pushing but it was not the reason she was murdered! That's what makes her story so much more tragic, she was an innocent bystander, the murderer assumed she knew about his illicit affair & that's the only reason why he killed her.
