Mr Brown is a very talented artist, his music got me through uni especially putting into perspective people who just annoy the hell out of you, and you have to see them every day for 3 yrs!! 'Thanks Mr Brown '! plus his dress sense is awesome.
did i see cressa at some point in the background?? id love to know why ian took a john squire alike on tour with him around this era, the guy uses the same guitars (country classic here) amps, effects, flange, chorus.. everything.. damn fine set up, sounds like its lifted from blackpool live, but just dont get why he'd have his very own john squire clone on tour with him.
They were shit live? Bollocks, they were fucking amazing live. And don't get me wrong, I hear what you're saying but for fuck sake, they were not about hitting the perfect notes vocally. This tune is brilliant, it is as close as we'll get to the Roses and it should be enjoyed. The Roses had a big impact on my life, I still listen to them and I will make sure my grandkids listen to them - fucking outstanding.
I fucking love the a Roses, great band and have some stonking tunes, they were the reason Oasis were able to form and became what they were/are. The problem is as good a songwriter as Ian is he cannot sing for shit live, having seen them when your in the moment in that field/venue hands aloft singing along to those anthems it's the best thing ever and doesn't matter...when you watch it back or live on TV as you are now or did when they was televised it's a different story!
its because the lads he took on tour with him were a stone roses tribute band (fools gold)imagine being a tribute act then ian asks you to be his band on tour wen performing roses songs oh i cant imagine anything better i hpoe that answera tyour 2question
This hurts to say but some of you still think there is a chance that the Stone Roses will reform. Although Ian Brown has performed with Mani and in on fairly good terms with Reni, he has not been in the same room with John Squire in almost 15 years much less spoken to him. The chances of all four of them being on the same stage again is ZERO. It breaks my heart; they would sell out everywhere they go.
do u think if everyone who wanted to see them reform for a few gigs and got vocal they would do it out of the goodness of there hearts? i know i would but then again i cut grass for a living
@diamond1897 SHITE...Any TRUE Roses fan would love them to reform...i know i do.The present time is ideal for a Roses reunion ,what with all the bland manufactured pop shite that is the norm nowadays. In fact i would say a Stone Roses reunion is NECESSARY NOW...PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN
it just a matter of what you can get away with infront of the camera anyone can see that if ya see serious interviews with noel gallagher ya can see its all 4 the camera
ian brown IS a legend of that there is no doubt apparently though, he DOESN'T play stone roses tunes anymore live because his solo stuff is better and he doesn't believe in nostalgia :-( i was banned from the ian brown forum for suggesting he should if you want to see roses tunes live, you now need to see a tribute band - howw gutting is that?!?!?!
shit live??!!! Wash yo' mouth! Browny might occasionally have struggled to hold a tune but Mani and Reni were the BEST rhythm section I ever saw and Squire was (and still is) a genius. Pity he gave up playing
