My dad sadly passed away yesterday after a years long battle with cancer. This is one of his favourite songs and one of mine to this day, my dad did anything for us and gave my family everything in times where we had nothing. This song is more relevant than ever. Don't forget to love and smile with those you hold dearest, one day they'll be needed elsewhere❤
I am sorry about your dad. Being a dad can be hard. But made 100x easier if your kids love you. I’m lucky. I’ve always done what I did for my family. Without them, I don’t matter. For everything a reason.
I got to meet Ian at one of his concerts I arrived early ..... he walked over to me shook my hand n said enjoy the concert n nice one for comming lad ........n thanks for your support......
This song is very close to heart for me, it was played at my dad's funeral not long ago. As well as the Stone Roses, he was a huge fan of Ian Brown as a solo artist, I suppose he just loved the honesty of the lyrics and the brilliance of the sound Brown produced.
My dads funeral was today and this song played during it, this song was his song....we always listened to this song as i and my brother and sister was kids, this song is now a bigger part in my heart, rest in peace dad, i love you so much and i will miss you every single day
It's hard to lose the ones u love the most but I lost them both and no how u feel it never gets easier but it makes us stronger and who we are today take care and sorry 4 your and loss. I'm still in tent bcoz my sister took everything so could be worse
I'm still here too One of my all time favourite songs, I listen to it often. It was already in my head this morning when I turned on the Pluto app while making breakfast to watch some CSI and lo and behold, an episode from 2003 had this song as music in the show. Total karma and It has been in my head all day, hence I'm here tonight, i needed to listen to the full version with lots of volume
Brilliant artist. Loved you a long time but this song is even more relevant to the times. Thank you for being a brave artist who speaks out against the lies and corruption. 🙏

After the last 2 years, this song is more relevant than ever. I heard he wrote this after reading George Orwell's 1984. Masterpiece either way and shows he's on the side of us that see through society for what it really is. Stay strong my fellow humans..... For Everything A Reason ❤️
I always knew the gangsterment were shady and I never ever believed a single promise (or word for that matter) that comes out of any politicians mouth as each one is as sleazy as the last, After reading Animal farm myself it opened my eyes wider to the way the fucker's really are and the way society allows them to get away with it, The power structure in societies across the globe are all the same with the men and women in suits being the pigs at the top that only think for themselves and their fellow pigs and as usual us mere mortals are the dogs at the bottom that do the heavy lifting for a fraction of what these bastards take for themselves (George Carlin summed it up perfect: Their in a big club, And you ain't in it), Orwell was ahead of his time with Animal farm and 1984 I'm surprised both books haven't been banned in fascist Britain (There's time yet though with the Fuhrer Priti Patel in charge of the home office, our democratic right to protest and form an opinion and speak out against tyranny of government is all but banned) And what's sad about it is we're letting them away with it.
slate ian brown!!! 🤔 🙄 ya mad!! he probably the best song writer of the past 3 decades the guys a lyrical genius F. E. A. R. perfect example plus he's a MANKunion... ps For. Everything . A. Reason
Got the lyrics of this in a tattoo on my arm as a memory to a dear friend who passed. RIP DPR. Still brings me to a standstill when ever I hear it, sometimes tears.
@@Nolangainsborough The roman catholic church continued after their armies kept failing and they paid off leaders to allow them control of society. It's why even though the Irish and Yanks beat the English the roman catholic church still chose to have english spoken as the main language of both countries. It's why the U.S uses latin with military and government slogans and why Irish are called catholics even though nobody acts catholic.
I've been listening to this song since it came out. In my opinion, it is one of the best songs ever written. The arrangement, string section, production and the lyrics are the most intelligent lyrics I've heard in a song. Legendary.
It's an era of music that taps directly into your soul, evokes all the memories and good good feelings that went with them. When music does that for you whoever you are it's flipping special. Brilliant!
Wow! This video is amazing. How did they persuade everybody to go backwards including all the cars as well. As for Ian Brown's incredt reverse cycling ... The man is a God!
I always seem to come back to this song. I really don't know why. Well, yes, I know why musically, but it just seems right. The backwards bicycle, the amazing backdrop, the clever lyrics. The cinematography. It's really amazing. I'm just listening to music on youtube and it gets me right in the feels. There's something special about this one my friends.
Love this song. Just realised that it has one of the cheapest official videos ever recorded… it’s literally a reversed recording of Ian on a sweet BMX! Fans Everywhere Admire Riding
This track just came to me in 2021` after Ian refused to play a show where fearful producers tried to bar some people from coming, essentially making the almost decade old song even more 'on point' than ever!
@@Funeral_Tango Ian is an absolute legend for refusing. A man who stands by his beliefs rather than bowing to the influence of money like so many celebrities.
@@GT380man Agenda 21. They are already slowly moving the restrictions goalposts to suit the zero carbon strategy as I'm sure you're aware. Depopulation is a logical reason for this nonsense but at the very least its social engineering to follow any militant orders without question no matter how ridiculous, under the guise of benevolence. What's even more scary than this dystopian nightmare is oblivious peoples attempts to justify it 😳
Fine, but are you going to allow unrestricted foreign travel while the pandemic is still on the go? Perhaps vaccine passports are a step too far for domestic events. But then people say virus testing is wrong and wearing a mask is acting like a sheep. Sounds like these crazies just want the right to infect others...fuk off!
Clusters were springing up early 2020. Once it took hold the govt was screwed. Symptoms are varied but you're wrong bro, it is detectable. Contact tracing has saved thousands in Asia Pacific countries, which had covid before and were therefore better prepared. Masks do offer limited protection for others if you are an asymptomatic carrier. You will probably never accept these facts. Let's just enjoy the wonderful Mr Brown.
The first thing that calls your attention is the lyrics - which is but a simple idea that was well executed. The melody though, the instrumental of it and the aura it creates - that is where this becomes a masterpiece.
An absolute masterpiece. With what's happened during these past 2/3 years this tune is more relevant than ever. It's like Ian knew what was coming. A very inspiring tune
My god, only 9.3m views?! What is the matter with you lot? Wake up! Music don't get much better than this. Make this part of your daily routine. Forget everything you're currently listening to and remember.
Probably one of the best songs ever, clever, unique and cool to a level that one can only ever dream of. When people say stuff like "they dont write them like this anymore!" ... well, it dont apply here as no one ever wrote a song like ths before nor will they ever again
mono lith dude you wrote exactly what I was thinking he was and still is a absolute legend no one will ever come close to the his ability to write songs the way he does..
Tony blitherington if that's ur name!!!!! R u f@@kin kiddin!!!!! Have u listened to the lyrics? Tell me one thing........ name one singer that sang a song that each line was the letter of the name of the song?!?!?!?!? I'm waitin mate!!!!!
I absolutely love this song from the first time I ever heard it. The vibe, the rythm, the lyrics, the overall message, the video. And the fact that so many people on this planet is oblivioues…. 3:19 1:23
I was asked to drum by Ian,but I got fucked up cus I'm a veteran,so just mooged back 2 my little bed sit, blew it !he is still the best, god like genius, he is doing things way of the box..and that's comforting.
Crazy to think that this is the same Ian Brown that fronted The Stone Roses, a band often praised for musical terms but never lyrical quality. This is an absolute masterpiece and an absolute lyrical masterclass. Well done Ian. Plus is anyone else absolutely buzzing that the Roses are back??
Ste butler , I now know a lot of these songs are about recovery , forget everything an remember for everything a reason , and our reason was learning and our beautiful children , I hope I find exceptance and we both find peace 🙏🙏🙏 find it hard to think about any of it , but I will get there , miss our children hopefully one day they will come back to me I love them it makes me sad but am glad we had them , rest in peace old friend 🙏🙏
Up my attic I have 2 mint BMX’s from 1986, one restored but never touched the road, the other new old stock parts made into a bike, again a carpet queen. This awesome video has given me inspiration to ride them on the seafront this summer 😁😁😁 At mid 50’s I hope my old bones can be a quarter as cool as Ian Brown 🙏🤞😎
I remember playing the WAG Club in the 90's, do a soundcheck then go to Wong Kei's to spend the PDs on a slap up Chinese before going back to do the show. Damn those were fine days - none of the bollocks of today.
Esta canción es una de mis favoritas desde hace mas de 20 años, me da nostalgia cuando la escucho y veo todo por lo que he pasado. La canción ha sido parte de mi vida durante todo este tiempo en diferentes sucesos importantes.
Ian you're a legend in so many ways and you are on the right side of history. There are many of us who stand with you in these crazy times, much love from east Manchester x
