The War thunder community has been using that clip a lot recently so the sound of that in my head was so visceral I laughed for a good minute. That's hilarious 😂
The fact that many loved Palpatine, shows why so many willingly joined and/or helped the Empire. Compared to the Republic, the Empire was the very thing that the Republic claimed to do, yet never did. The Empire unified most of the galaxy, where the Republic failed to maintain peace on the worlds that were apart of the senate.
As a kid I didn't know that Palpatine would become the Emperor. Nor did my father. I mean the Emperor in Ep. 6 was played by a damn old man, it looks like. And he looks so much younger in Ep. 1. Then I thought it's not the same actor.
When he's not playing the character for the film and he's just saying lines for the fans he's kind of cringe it's like he overdoes it. He never sounded like that in the film lol
