Why am I watching this 5 years later?

I don't understand the judges really, they all should've turn around THAT GIRL WAS MORE THAN AMAZING MY MOUTH WAS HUNG THE WHOLE TIME!!!!

Back, again. As long as this video is available for viewing I will always come back to play it. Right now I would guess I play it about once a month. Iandara was marvelous! The two judges who didn't turn around had already used up all their options and they couldn't have to the chance to pick her for their team. The one judge who couldn't turn around knew after 5 seconds she was someone very special. I bet, even now 10 years later, he thinks of that moment when he couldn't turn around. He's probably watched this video as many times as I have!

Ok, some people seem really confused about the linguistic situation in Switzerland. I'll explain it here quickly. Switzerland is divised into four linguistic parts: In the center: german speaking cantons, they represent 70% of the population. Government is in Bern, a german speaking town. Switzerland was fonded in 1291 by three german speaking regions. That girl comes from Solothurn/Soleure/Soletta, that is a german speaking town. In the West: french speaking part. First french speaking canton joined the confederation in the end of the 15th century, it was the bilingual canton of Fribourg/Freiburg. Most famous french speaking town: Geneva/Genève/Genf. In the south-East: italian speaking part, 8%. Entered Switzerland in 1803. Only one canton, Tessin/Ticino. In the East: Graubünden/les Grisons/Grisioni/Grischun. A trilingual canton: german, italian, rumantsch, and the only one were rumantsch is used. Rumantsch represents the native language of only 0.5% of the population, but still is recognised as an official language. Entered the country in 1803 too. We also have officially bilingual cantons, I mentionned Fribourg but there is also Bern/Berne and Wallis/Valais. Now the most important part, how the population feels about language. People learn the language that their parents know. French speaking parents= french speaking children, one french speaking and one german speaking = bilingual. Parents speak german but teachers at school speak french because they live in a french speaking town, child becomes bilingual. Now, swissgerman people who live far East never hear french in their everyday life so they don't talk it better than a german person learning french. Same with french speaking swiss people who live far west, they learn german at school but rarely hear it so they don't know it better than a french person who studied german. Don't expect all swiss native french speakers to talk german fluently and don't expect swissgerman people to talk french fluently, quadrilinguism is Switzerland does not work like that. We are divided by regions and you need to consider all towns differently.
