My dream job is engineering in science computer, by at my school we don't learn AA HL, so I choose AA SL but after watching the video I don't know if I'll be able to study in this field, let alone at a major university.
Great Video. I was just wondering about why people keep saying that AI HL is just Maths for people that are good at it but won't use the Maths in the Future. Its called Applications and Interpretations. Though AI SL is also called that. Their Math is more basic. People also say AA SL is harder than AI HL. AI HL has much more content, I don't get why people say that?
I’d somewhat agree with the first statement but not entirely. You have to be good at math to take either HL course that’s for certain but I wouldn’t say people who take AI HL won’t use math in the future. Sure they may not use it as much as someone who wants to do engineering or physics and takes AA HL but generally, if your uni requires AI HL, you’ll need it for your course. Also, AA SL is definitellyyyyyy not easier than AI HL, very common misconception.
@@salemabbar Yeah that's right. I disagree too about AI HL not being used much. As well as AA SL being harder than AI HL. Thank you for the honest video
I"m planning on studying law and especially in the criminology field. But I'm already taking AA HL, after seeing this video ig I should've took AI HL as its more relating to what I want to study than AA HL. But I can't change it now, am I missing anything important if I didn't take AI HL?
I always say this with HL math, unless you need it, don't take it. Math AA SL is significantly easier than AI HL so unless HL math is a uni requirement, my advice would be to not take it! Hope this help :)
Hi salem im planning to be an interior designer which math is appropriate for interior design as I'm finishing my myp 5 soon and I'm lost on what math to pick for dp
my school don't offer analysis and approeches, we just have applications and interpretation SL this has been a huge problem for me bc i wan't to study physics at university :(
That's so strange?!! I'd argue AA is the more popular style of math I don't understand why your school doesn't offer it. If you're brave enough you could try doing the course by yourself?
@@salemabbar Hi, may I ask well how do you take an IB course yourself for a certain subject, without it being an actual subject in school? (I know this is for another comment but Id like to know)
im deciding to pursue medicine in maybe uk or another european country and my subjects are chem hl bio hl and psychology hl, ive taken ai sl since im really bad at math and it isnt my strongest subject. would that be okay?
If I'm planning on pursuing economics in some American university, do you think I could just take Math AI SL? I don't really enjoy math so I'm assuming I won't go into an extremely math-heavy economics major.
Thanks for your question! As always, I’d recommend checking the university’s requirements beforehand. However, seeing as you want to pursue economics, you might actually need AI HL so it’s definitely worth checking (this is the case for most top UK universities so this may not apply to the states). Hope this helps👍
@@salemabbar Thank you for your response. I ended up taking AA SL after getting some advice from teachers and websites. (my school doesn’t offer AI HL)
