You're used to a slow flow but since Rakim came out with My Melody i'd say Ice Cube was one of the best at being able to slow it down. His song before this was Wicked which is much faster bpm. Then he he brought it a bit slower with Check Yo Self. Which is still a much higher beat per minute than what's out now. One of the most versatile ever. It's probably unimaginable to realize what those years were like. Especially since he's a friendlier face these days.

Ron also provided ad-libs on their cover. Body consisted of Detroit based sisters Letitia, Francina and Peggy Body. Body only released 2 albums in 1987 and 1990. Exactly, the whole point of the song is kind of that it ain't reality: nobody has that kind of a win streak of a day, the goodyear blimp doesn't have the lights saying ice cubes a pimp and at the time there wasn't a day that nobody that he knew didn't get killed in south central.. It was a deeper song than it sounds on the surface, how the simple survival of him and his peers for just a day was as far out of a dream as the wildest day he could imagine. Cube used to write some of the best political raps late 80s to early 90s with very deep lyrics, so many of his "lighter" subject mattered songs from the time still have that same mindset behind it.

I really have to recommend you to listen to Runway, it is from Mariah's latest era. Runway is a Japan bonus track from her album CAUTION. She produced this one with Skrillex and it shows his love for Mariah's Butterfly album which he used to listen to it with his mom. Mariah sampled herself with the "fly" run from her song Butterfly and she sung that run in her whistle register over the belt at the end. She's a genius! Also, she sampled her other song, We Belong Together, by using the piano melody!
