What I love about Iced Earth is that most of their songs have a real message in them. They aren't just great metal songs, they have feeling and deep rooted themes. Just awesome
Exactly, Dude. There Is Nothing Better than Being Aware of Your Dynamics, and, to Learn to Keep Going, only, Ahead, and, always, to Celebrate Your Life, as The Sun and The Thunder Are Destiny's Insights, as Our Beloved & Favourite Iced Earth Heavy-Metal Band Encourages Us to Believe In, and, to Endeavour to Support, not, only, Now, but, Always, On Many Different Levels.
In your eyes I see you're desperate and in hunger Reclaim your future, your past uncertain See this child is raised in hate and in anger His eyes wide open, his rage so focused Torn asunder, our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life Torn asunder, our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life A single mother she is strained and she suffers She slaves away her life in turmoil A homeless man had it all and now has nothing His spirit broken, plagued from injustice Torn asunder, our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life Torn asunder, our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life We have the power make our lives what they are to be Reconnect with our humanity Transcend to a higher place, accepting reality You are the key to the life you seek Torn asunder, our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life Torn asunder, our destiny is in sight This is the anthem to celebrate your life
This song hits deep, the part about the mother makes me cry, I lost mine when I was 1, but this song brings me strength and meaning and I am so happy I discovers this song
I saw Iced Earth twice on this tour, and both times Stu had tears in his eyes singing this song. I think looking at the crowd and singing these words really got to him. Favorite IE singer, he can do it all.
dacoda666 hey dude you have to be careful about the people who know wich music you listen to i mean you could get sentenced to death in iran for this i hope thats never gonna happen bro. cheers from germany
I'm hear because of Loudwire constantly posting about how the guitar player got arrested for storming the capitol. And I must say, Iced Earth sounds actually pretty good as a band.
Their earlier albums are even better. I would highly recommend giving Night of the Stormrider or Horror Show a listen if you get the chance. While the circumstances could be better, it's nice to see more people finally hearing of this band.
They have had like 30 lineup changes and schaffer is the only original member. This era wasnt the best. Check out something wicked this way comes, horror show and night of the stormrider
This song literally opened my eyes and made me appreciate the life that I have even though I have to deal with a great number of difficulties.. Many Iced Earth songs have a positive message in the lyrics . Long live Iced Earth and thank you for opening my eyes.
Lol almost the same. Listen on my first COPY CD walkman at Art-school, lost myself in those Metal songs-CD (compilation) that my brother made me. Funny that I listen it for 1-2 years non stop the same songs of those bands, never knew other songs of them beside the ones on that one CD, getting true my depression and not willing to leave at my school years at 14-19 years old. Still now I listen to all of them and discovering new songs that I learn to like. Still to get true this horrible world around me and forget the stupidity of so many people that think that know what life is and how everyone should be for them. F UK THEM, my thoughts, dreams are and freedom to choose my music I listen to is my only freedom i have where nobody bothers me for.
This band never fails to deliver, I recall getting my first IE album right after getting expelled from christian high school in 99, perfect tunes for such a ridiculous situation
Been a fan of Iced Earth for a very long time. Great albums. Great live band. Just all around F--KING GREAT. Now listen, If you like what you hear, by the damn album. These guys work hard, and have bills to pay just like the rest of us.
@@mangonoob Thanks officer Ross from the grammar police. 🖕My high school English teacher would be so proud of you. I was trying to make a point about how everyone stealing music of the internet and no longer buying albums is killing the music industry. And you found one word I misspelled. BRAVO, SIR, BRAVO.
@@brookeburner4243 A traitor? It is because of people like you who are sheep of a herd, and who is so easily manipulated, brainwashed and so easily controlled by a government betraying its people. Do yourself a favor and think before opening your mouth you illiterate fuck.

I don't know about you guys. But when I feel weak, or things just don't seem to go right. This song makes me realize all the good things, and fortune in my life that I should feel grateful for. Iced Earth is more then music, its power to the needing. \m/
@@xp8969 Fake metal? What the hell does that even mean? You could say that about anything, "thats fake" just because it does not suit you. Heres a question, whats a "real" metal song then?
I shared this song from Iced Earth to broadcast it on Radio saint affrique Fm airwaves. Thanx a lot, long living to the Rock 'n Roll, you'll the welcomes.
As a fan of the band since the 90's I'm happy to see many more people finally getting exposed to Iced Earth even if under unfortunate circumstances. If anyone from Century Media reads this please do the right thing and keep this channel up and continue supporting the band rather than bow down to media pressure and try to purge the band from existence. Censorship is never the answer and this current push to ban and remove individuals and content from the internet for their political views will unfortunately do nothing more than further escalate tensions in a society that is already falling apart.
It's not necessarily censorship. They are making a capitalist decision and what's best for their brand. If another company thinks they can make $ from them...ok.
I agree. Pulling this content because of one knucklehead in the band would be a terrible disrespect to the band members, those involved in making these videos, and the fans who just want to enjoy the music.
You're confusing capitalism with censorship but at any rate the rest of this horrible band made a statement condemning his actions so they should just consider replacing him with someone who isn't a fascist.
@@RazielXSR I used to be a professional musician and can tell you for a 100% fact the rest of the band knew before hand what his plans were. Bands like this are literally tighter than family. I would argue they turned a blind eye until it personally effected them so maybe capitalism doing it's job isn't such a bad thing.
He did not stay strong. He is now in isolation after being bullied by other prisoners, plead guilty, informed on his militia to the FBI. He did not stay strong at all.
@@JFD18 Yes, it is almost as if I am in protective custody too. Although, I did not have cups of shit and piss thrown into my face like John Shaffer did.
This Is My Favorite Kind Of HEAVY METAL MUSIC: The Kind That Aspires, Inspires, Motivates, And Propagates Hope And Positivity. Keep It Up, Boyz. The World Demise Needs Heroes And You're My Avengers Assembled!!!
Iced Earth is probably one the best to have really strong messages delivered and uplifting/motivational material in the metal culture today. Even with all the line up changes, Jon still stays strong at it and is one hell of a guitar player!! Gotta love Iced Earth.
They are definitely one of the greats a hidden gem to me i just discovered em about a year ago. i have been writing raps for the final concert called God's Wrath for a long time and yes i concur they will definitely be one of the headline of headlines along side the king of kings and i am GOAT from Milwaukee an american phsyco the anti wolf of wallstreet there is no title on me just a rapper that the world will know as Justin nataSoN pronounced not-uh-sun and that times is almost upon us!!! Rejoice!!!
He still is. Just the rest of the band went woke and kicked him out just because he got arrested at the Jan 6th riot. Hopefully he comes back with a new band soon. One that won't bend the knee.
Just because Jon loves our country and sees the corruption in Washington you write him off? If you were a real fan just by listening to his music you would know what he's about. A true patriot
+hobestobe He's Jon Schaffer, so he's got talent for finding awesome musicians! Fun fact: Matt Barlow is/was Schaffer's brother in law, and current lead singer Stu Block I believe I read somewhere was in an Iced Earth tribute band or a band that did lots of Iced Earth covers.
regardless, I could practice for years and not come anywhere close to this talent level. interesting that Barlow is bro in law, thats a very convenient twist of fate
+hobestobe I'm sure you'll improve faster than you think. KK Downing had actually only been playing guitar for about a week, just a week, when he first auditioned for Judas Priest in 70/71 but they hired him because of his work ethic, attitude, and persona, and he always says that joining a band so early on is what helped him improve fast. Talent and fate often work out in surprising ways!
Check out the band Stu left to join Iced Earth, Into Eternity. He did pretty much every metal vocal style in it. Although i like Iced Earth and they're definitely much more well-known than Into Eternity will ever be, musically speaking the switch was a complete downgrade.
Iced Earth has actually had five lead vocals. Gene Adam on "Iced Earth" John Greely on "Night of the Stormrider" Matt Barlow on "Burnt Offerings" through "Horror Show" and again on "The Crucible of Man" Tim "The Ripper" Owens on "The Glorious Burden" and "Framing Armageddon" and Stu Block (The guy in this song) on the most recent album "Dystopia"
Schaffer believes EVERY FUCKING WORDDDDDDDDDDDDD IN ALL HIS SONGS So a little man from greece(HELLAS) Gives his HORNERRRRRRR TO A TRUE MAN !!!!!! AND REMEMBER THE WICKED THINGS THAT TAKE PLACE FREE PEOPLE ARE UNTOUCHOUBLE!!!!....we know the sacrifice we must do !!!!!!!
I've been listening to metal Since I saw Metallica on MTV in 1988 never heard of until this guy until he was in the riot. And if they want to rep the Confederate flag fuck them.
I did listen to them in the late 90s. They were very underground back then. I had "The Dark Saga", "Days of Purgatory", "Something Wicked" and "Burnt Offerings". I quickly got bored of them, thought it was mediocre. I got all those albums because of one song I thought was alright. I made a huge mistake. I sold all those albums and bought much better stuff.
EPIC PIECE- HAILS FROM HELLAS ~We have the power make our lives what they are to be... Reconnect with our humanity... Transcend to a higher place, accepting reality...~
Been jamming to iced earth since 1998 one members opinion of things does not mean that the whole band feels the same way keep supporting the band they're awesome and I'm still a fan rock on!!!
Blah blah blah. Jon Shaffer is iced earth so who cares about the rest of the bands opinions. Not like he killed anyone. This fake insurrection has been overblown. Muh jan 6th!
that's because ,at leased 80 percent of earths population, will listen to what ever ,radio tells them what is good, instead of listening to what there own ears and body feels..!
I thank Iced Earth for being the voice of the people. Jon, special thanks to you, brother. Words can't describe the impact you and Iced Earth have had on so many. May your message reverberate through the folds of time and space. \m/

Last time when they were in Hungary, Jon Schaeffer was so grim.. then he suddenly began smiling and laughing with us seeing our enthusiasm! And now, dear Brothers and Sister he is in jail for 4-6 years!!! (He participated in the Siege of the COMMUNIST Capitolium of U.S.) Pray for him, please...
@@pisswizard yet your fascist antifa lovers and racist blm lovers who where there that day and actually went in got a slap on the wrist even though they participated in the riot, were the first ones through the door and were the ones actually starting shit, causing the most destruction and tried starting a fire which was prevented by the conservatives.
