Well, PL isn't as strong as he was anymore, so I doubt you et the joke: basiclly, PL summons 7(9, with Manta) illusions of insane power. Basically, if you had the right items, it was like playing 5 vs 14, and you just couldn't win against him. So, with that in mind, the joke is that all the heroes of Dota 2 combined could even hurt PL. That poof at the end indicates that was one of PL's illusions, which are each only 1/3 of PL's strength. So basically, 1/3 of PL whupped everyone else in the game without even getting hurt. It's basiclly a QQ in video form, but done in a really clever way. And, as it turns out, Icefrog agreed and nerfed PL a few months after the buff, as his illusions were just too tanky and did too much damage. He's still really, absurdly good, one of the best lategame carries in the game, but he's no longer an insta-win if you have him on your team.

First of all, i was a player of the old pl, i loved him and i had a 85 % winrate. The problem was, pl was a really really situational pick, comparable to brood. If you gave him 20 minutes of freefarm he could destroy literally everything, and he was the only hero who could farm more than 2 lanes (except meepo, i don't count naga). After getting diffu manta BoTs i usually was able to farm both side lanes and the own jungle which is pretty op. The downide of the hero is, that he was countered by aggressive lineups (and by shaker, but not that much) pretty hard, his presense in lane was minimal (well, not if you had a kotol). But if enemy team gets a good aggro tri + a hero with a lit of aoe (akasha, kunkka etc) he became pretty useless. Getting my mmr at 2.7k (i was noob back then), i was able to get to 3k with a pl winrate of 90 % what is ridicolous cauz i normally failed with every other hero (i was a big noob) the only reason i didn't went up to 4k fastly was that i felt like playing ranked is boring and when he got destroyed, well, it was too late. Overall the new pl is less situational but way weaker
