Hi! I am wondering if in sumer you do get south swells from southern hemisphere winter storms, here in azores islands we do, I ever wonder if those waves keep moving twoards north and reach you , I hope so :-)

I know where that spot is at the 8 minute mark, but it was flat the entire time I was there in late summer. I brought a mountain bike though too and the trails were out of this world. I'll be back for the surf.

Kudos to you both. You are very smart and sage by not disclosing there exact locations. Because you've learned that all you are doing is Pooping in your nest. I wish i had a dollar for all the spots on the planet that got exposed then over exposed to the hordes of surfers who only care about who they impress and what they drive. They go find some waves, film and promote it like it was the only place on the planet. Not caring at all about all the problems this creates for all the locals and people who kept it a secrete for years. Sad, Sad, Sad. I can also related to the 5 mill wetsuit. I started on the East Coast in New Jersey in the winter month. Absolute ghost towns....you would welcome seeing someone else out even though the water temp was only 31- 34 degrees F. We wore 1/4" (7-8 mills), PARKWAY DIVING JACKET with Beaver tails AND long johns. Booties and hood were mandatory....period. I've had salt water crystallize in my hair in strong off shore days but those smaller waves will never be forgotten even though i've been round the world. Beautiful surf in own back yards...Mahn, nothing is better than that!!!!!! jack e.

Having Surfed Iceland in the middle of winter i give props to these guys! It was crazy awesome, but if it was my local break I definitely wouldnt be a surfer! I uploaded a dopeee surf edit from iceland surrounded by icebergs, snow, mountains and crazy waves! check it out!

knees freeze...? ear infections? oh boy, did they never heard of 6/5 and more wet suits? and thank god someone invented earplugs. If anyone tried to surf at 10 degrees celsius in france with a 3/2 you know that you should by a thicker wet suit. And you can get an ear infections even in warmer water, that is why I always have earplugs with me.

The best thing to prevent swimmers ear is to use a 50/50 solution of Isopropyl Alcohol/Vinegar...use after swimming or any water borne activity.
