It's often used to refer to children (whom you have raised) that turn against you at some point. I'm italian and understand the sentences even if i did not study Spanish. I love that. "Il Venezuela è il miglior paese in cui si parla spagnolo (or, in better style, "Il Venezuela è il miglior paese di lingua spagnola"). "Mi piace vedere la marea all'alba". "La musica e la spiritualità sono sacre" "Il treno corre rapido (o veloce)" and so on. In italian "ferrocarril" is "treno" (like train in english), but "ferrovia" means "railway" and "carro" means "car" or in general "vehicle", so "ferrocarril" it's fully intelligible.
