It's mostly due to the Old Man, he kept White restrained even after Ichigo got his Shinigami powers Remember White was hidden deep within Ichigo's inner world not even the old man could find him if I recall and Rukia's powers woke White up to lend Ichigo strength.

@@aozorahaou2643 Every arc past Ichigo defeating Aizen is noncanonical with every prior arc. Ichigo as the Prince of Soul Society is half hollow and half shinigami. Because he was in danger his hollow half started to gain control over the shinigami half. So there is no Old Man. Remember that is all Ichigo. White is Ichigo. Zangetsu is Ichigo. Ichigo is Ichigo. They are all Ichigo just different facets of a singular self.

I think this is the first time white took over but before fully manifesting as a hollow And that explains why ichigo had a sudden boost in Reiatsu and starts being more aggressive and it make sense when you remember that every time Ichigo was in very risky or near death situation he appears

@@MaxBraver555 they’re talking a little vaguely and formal, i chalk it up as anime being anime trying to be serious with a character. He also treats her like that because something along the lines of him being mad at himself for not being strong enough to prevent her powers from being stolen, and we see that he thinks of himself as a runt.

I think in "4:38" that was "White" taking over ichigo. well not entirely but ichigo's personality changed and this was the first and the last time we see him acting like this, plus the fact that he probably was dying. "White" tend to aid ichigo, whenever he was dying in the middle of the fight. The one thing that convinced me that this theory is probably true, is the fact that when ichigo fought byakuya using their bankais, is that it uses the same "ost" when "White" saved ichigo, when he was on the verge of dying.

It was Zangetsu (Hollow-Shinigami manifestation) taking over Ichigo during Ichigo & Renji's 1st fight, he just wasn't strong enough to finish the fight for obvious reasons.

@@FabriceLabako Yes, Kaien is Ichigo's cousin. Kaien was killed by a hollow called Metastacia, who was then eaten by Aaroniero Arluerie, the 9th Espada. Rukia had to fight him while he was in the form of Kaien.

Renji is lucky he met a version of white for a minute before Ichigo got his real powers or he would've destroyed him. If he had his natural powers there his hollow crazy version would've probably forced Byakuya to kick Renji out of the way and fight him. Ichigo would've lost immediately but not with one blow of course. That's only cause Ichigo hadn't gotten his real training and hadn't learned bankai. Hollow Ichigo would've killed Byakuya in the soul society if Ichigo wasn't aware of him and supressed him.

Could be that considering the old man can use Blut to stop Ichigo's bleeding wounds. Then again it could be White as we learned thanks to eventual reveal that even way the Soul Society Arc White's been protecting Ichigo and White's a Hollow so he can instantly heal Ichigo anytime he wants to keep him alive to continue fighting.

No. Ichigo is not part Quincy. That is a bullshit retcon from the noncanonical arcs following Aizen's defeat. Ichigo during this arc is the Prince of Soul Society meaning he is part Hollow. His hollow half can heal itself and Zangetsu can suppress injuries. The person who died to protect him was not his mother but one of the Royal Guards that stole him away from the soul palace to protect him.

The worldbuilding is VERY good and fairly consistent from the first chapter through the Soul Society arc. It is only the arc after the Soul Society arc where things slowly start to fall apart at an increasing rate.
