That actually isn't the original you're referring to! The gruesome versions of the fairytales we know and love are actually just popular retellings by the Grimm Brothers. Cinderella actually goes back hundreds of years, with versions as old as I believe ancient Egypt! But yeah, the Grimms version is pretty brutal, drops of blood literally tell the prince like several times he's got the wrong girls, and then the girls are I think attacked by birds and blinded?!?! I'm not sure, been awhile since I've read them. I also believe Grimms version was called Aschenputtel!
One thing I never understood about Cinderella is the prince mainly in the first movie assuming that the shoe will only fit one woman’s foot, and that surely two woman can’t have the same shoe size 🤷♀️
Cause it's made of fucking glass, the thing is probably sculpted to fit her EXACT foot, there's alot of different things about feet than just the size, like the shape of the bridge and toes and the thickness of the heel.
@@cinderellaskeleton6720 This^^ And the Fairy Godmother made it specifically to fit Cinderella's feet perfectly, and no one else's. Plus, they were made using magic lol
They said in the movie that the shoe was a size 4 1/2 and the average shoe size is anywhere from 8-9. So it makes sense that not a lot of women would have that size.
I dont think the Prince was hit by a love spell, it feels like the spell just made Anastasia the woman he danced with that he recalls having a special connection with so his reaction to Anastasia chasing the ring around felt like someone who wasn't hit by a love spell, but was hit by a memory alteration. Which I kinda like more, it might be funny to see the Prince just fawn over her even with her flaws but I love how constantly forgiving he is with her bc of that special connection he had that night. Sounds like an easy route to a depressing marriage. Edit: Also he literally believed the Talking Mice about Cinderella, leaving Anastasia quickly.
I think it's better that way because it shows he didn't just fall in love with a random girl at the ball, he fell in love with Cinderella that happened to meet him at the ball
@@aubreestamant i think anastasia and the baker ends up after all, based in what you can see in the credits scene and also in cinderella 2 : dreams come true (where she met the baker and falls inlove with him)
Yeah the third movie takes place before the second one but possibly part of the reality that the fairy godmother reverse back to beginning reversing entire movie
I honestly love this movie because they make the prince a character with a lot of charisma, I feel that in the original movie he was a very flat character
Yea, cuz back then the story evolved around Cinderella and her escape from abuse, but now the story is more centered around building their actual love for each other, I honestly love both for their own reasons but this is truly one of the best sequels ever to be made, it could almost be a stand alone movie
I didn’t think of it until now but the prince legit had a ring ready to go before he even knew her ring size or taste or anything? Anastasia having a little trouble getting the ring on is actually kind of realistic
5:18 this is the best expression i have ever seen animated upon a face i dont care what anyone says your animation could be 4K and i would be less impressed
Anastasia is actually so adorable, I would love a friend like her. Her character development in this movie was soo amazing. She's literally the cutest person ever. She was probably mean in the other movies cause her mom and step-mother was so harsh and she was just used to it. But she really is the cutest ever.
Pretty sure the whole point is, if she didn't mock Cinderella, they'd have said she's weak and they could have started to bully her too (not that Tremaine didn't insult her at any occasion, nor that Drizella didn't fight with her constantly). Worst case Anastasia would have been a servant too, and she didn't have the courage to stand for herself, even less for Cinderella.
I still like the first movie more than the third, but this one is okay too. What irks me about this sequel (which isn't even the sequel's fault) are the people who trash Part 1 Cinderella because "she has no character development." Like, girl, do you know how hard it is to be abused everyday by being treated worse than a maid? It's not an easy situation to get away from. It was a miracle she even found the courage to find a dress for the ball... only for it to be torn from her body. So yeah, Cinderella is braver than some people give her credit for, even before part 3 came along. She didn't need any sequels to prove it, but they're welcome additions nevertheless.
This movie was such a big part of my childhood, and you’ve captured its charm perfectly. This is by far the best Cinderella movie, and the best Disney sequel. 🥰
I agree with a lot of people here on what they love about this movie, but one of my favorite parts in the movie was Anastasia’s heart-to-heart talk with the King, and having a father-and-daughter connection. That was one of the sweetest and heartwarming moments in the whole series ngl.
Cinderella 3 > Cinderella 1. This movie was SO FUNNY. Even Cinderella herself had some funny moments and facial expressions. And the songs were actually (for the most part) better than they had any right to be in a straight-to-DVD Disney sequel lol. Also the way this movie added cartoon sound effects to make it as chaotic as possible was brilliant
God damn, his lashes are gorgeous! The animators went out of their way to give THE PRINCE the BEST LASHES! Beautiful 😍 He's so expressive too oh my goddd- Oh and the movie is really good too-
The Prince in the first movie? a boring character that is literally just a plot device that suddenly Cinderella loves because she danced with him _once._ The Prince in the second movie? Hardly exists. The Prince in the third movie? A delight every time he's on screen. His facial expressions, his kindness towards literally everyone, and do I need to mention him literally yeeting himself out a window to rescue a maid because talking mice told him that actually it wasn't Anastasia that he loved, it was her. Can I also appreciate that even Disney made fun of the fact that multiple women have Cinderella's shoe size and that trying the glass slipper wasn't a solid way to find the girl that The Prince danced with?
I really loved this sequel, every character (not you, Lady Tremaine and Drizella) is so lovable. I especially love Anastasia, she deserves true love so much.
Lady Tremaine: Drizella will be singing at the ceremony... *flashback to Cinderella 1* Drizella: SIIIIING SWEEEEET NIIIIGHTIIIINGAAAALE, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH...
5:15 That, was a funny smart @ss move and you can't deny it And since this part was really funny I coughed really hard because im sick and was laughing to hard 💀
Cinderella is a great movie but Cinderella 3 is the best movie COMEDY GOLD also the fact that this was my father bought on blu ray I was expecting a Cinderella 1 movie but he chose 3 and my dad was like trust me its better. And I did not regret it lol.
This is probably the best sequel in disney history ever, my entire childhood was not cocomelon and Nickelodeon, it was old disney classics, and this was one of my favorite disney movies, hell i loved this more than the og Cinderella
