Sponsored by DashFight go.dashfight.com/cym7k Tekken Tag 2 Customization with Characters Intro & Win Poses, some of this special outfits need to be remade in Tekken 8.
Random note, only thing I'll miss about Tekken Revolution was that they actually improved the female character models from TAG 2. Actually making them more accurate to their character renders.
To be honest, I'll be content if Bandai Namco ends up going back to Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection's format of customization. Before the developers pulled out all the stops for the customization in Tekken 6, they struck a perfect balance between quality and quantity for each and every character in the aforementioned game.
"Leaving would be in your best interest" is low-key a badass and scary threat for someone to give you. It doesn't have to be by some 6'3, muscle bound bouncer in a suit. It could just be some 5'7 (or whatever Sebastian's height is) older gentleman
What I most miss about Tag 2 / T6 customization are the hairstyle options. There was in general just a lot more of them, and you could also choose front and side hair separately from the top/back hair. There was also more hairstyles that could have accessories added to it, now there's just one shitty ponytail that has that lol. I played Xiaoyu in tag 2 and I had this rule I made up for myself that she had to have some kind of high-hanging double ponytails or buns because that's a key part of her "visual identity", but even within such specific and limiting sounding constraints I had so many options.
The more unique stuff was very expensive but shame on me for not using online back then I suppose. Was why to me earning cash for customisation in Tekken 7 felt a bit easier. But yes, we need phat customisation options in Tekken 8. And Jukebox so we can play the music used in this video.
Angel, Bruce, Sebastian and Zafina's costumes just looked phenomenal. I really hope Bamco up their customization game in Tekken 8 (at least from Tekken 7)
*Tekken 6* also had such great customization tools that were more diverse in how you could put clothing items together, and the characters in that exact game also all had their own unique catalogue of outfits to choose from as well.....this is exactly why the upcoming *Tekken 8* needs to step it up in terms of the customization department, as *Tekken 7* was so limited and generic with what it did in terms of customization.
There's so many more left like Alex's Robot Dinosaur costume, Lee's Gimp Suit, Eddie's Disco Outfit, Elisa's High Tech Body suit and Visor, Heihachis classic pants and Hairpiece with bangs, and Ogres Cartoon face, Michelles Wrestling outfit, Ganryus mountain gear, Ancient Ogres Mayan gear etc. These have to be unlocked through mystery boxes in arcade mode though.
Nice ending. I'm glad evety time you are showing community t6 or ttt2. That Alisa skin has more to show. Also there's a head item move by "Battle Helmet" which gives you a shield. I believe she will get a shield like Jack 8. Also in t6 she somehow could summon a bird. It seems like every "modern" tekken game has a new #1 waifu: In t5 in was asuka, she had a bird in customize in t6 its Alisa in ttt2 its Jun and in t7 its Kazumi. When she dies its a birds again maybe we will get a cute newcomer with an angelic face in t8
For sure! The items are diverse, and it's fun to see what you can create in Tekken Tag 2. I never got to make a lot cause I didn't personally own a copy though...
it's remarkable to see how TTT2 Game is so cool because we never stop doing so cool customizations.. buddy 😭😄 Awesome video btw as always when we need it
0:21 that sound brings back memories of just idling in the customization screen, or falling asleep at 3am making ur char look as cool/silly as possibly be, especially with the cartoon effects and profile pic
I'd say this also needs tekken 6 level ofcustomization. You could dress them up how you want on any part you want. Tag 2 limited that, but it also gave us possibility to make custom emblems and had more clothing for anyone.
Didn’t aris straight up say he feels ranked shouldn’t have customizations and Murray straight up agreed?? Aris said In competitive Tekken customizable options are forbidden so why have it online which is one of the most competitive scenes ? So I’m worried for the customizations now too… hopefully they give us massive creativity.
I‘m optimistic on Tekken 8 bcs i hope it introduce to TTT3. The trailers were amazing. The anticipation is great and I am very excited about the stories (especially about Kazuya,Jun,Jin). The customization on Tekken 6 & TT2 were goated 💯
That depends on if they stick to the pattern of making a TTT every 3 installments. Because so far it's been T1, T2, T3, then TTT. T4, T5, T6, then TTT2. So maybe we won't get TTT3 until after T9?
Tag 2 is the ultimate team fg in technical aspects... Just not competitively solid, which was a big deal for the harsh TK community. If we compare it to classic team fgs with modern games like MvC3, MvCI, DBFZ and KOF 15, they still work under a classic fg form and are much behind. The strongest aspect in it is the teammate interactions for pure presentation effect and for gameplay effects. That put Tag 2 infinitely ahead of other team fgs. Imagine if MvC or KOF added special teammate interactions... It would be the coolest thing ever.
It did surprise me later to know that Tag 2 bombed, but it makes sense, when you see the game was very unbalanced...but then again, so it's UMvC3, and it still has a following to this day, and even coming back at EVO this year for main stage! But nonetheless, I feel the issue with it was more of gameplay aspects, rather than cosmetic aspects. That last part was the peak, eventhough the customization on T6 was superior, the addition of decals was amazing. Hopefully T8 does bring a better customization repertory, however, i doubt decals will be coming back anytime soon....
I am very optimistic Tekken 8 can surpass TTT2 customization. It's a good sign that they're taking their time and not rushing to release the game as soon as possible
The best part is that you can change the colours of your character's outfits and dye your character's hair, only on store-bought hairstyles though but it's still awesome. True Story: I put Jinpachi in a white suit with a fedora and recreated Kazuya's purple suit from the Blood Vengeance movie.
Tekken 5, Tekken 6, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 are the best Tekken games for their customizations. If Tekken 8 has these levels of customization but also gameplay levels close to Tekken 3, 5, and 7. Tekken 8 will hands down be the best Tekken game in the series. It'll be nice if they had a little something from Tekken 4 like Tekken Force. Then we will truly hit the Pinnacle Point of Tekken.
to be honest, ive been stuck in the customization screen much longer than story, arcade, and the challenge battles in tekken 6 i spent so much just to give hwoarang a short ponytail XD Thank you gold rush for existing, because I would have had my eyes glued to the screen for the best rewards
@@geefffirst3248 Rewatched some scenes and afaik he only turned into True Ogre in the Tekken 3 lore part. Jun only fought against Ancient Ogre and then whoosh disappeared. So as long as Ancient Ogre doesn't return in the present (only as past flashbacks), we might not see True Ogre. If he does return in the present, it would be kinda awesome to see Monster Ogre from Devil Within return too.
That giant Alisa head on top of Boskonovich is fucking horrifying. Alisa's whole concept (as a character, not her customization here) is kinda horrifying too. Tragic Namco never brought back this level of customization.
That's understandable. A *Tekken Force* mode must return in Tekken 8 (which should feature both local multiplayer and online multiplayer as Tekken 6's *"Scenario Campaign"* mode did, with a second player fighting alongside you in both situations) alongside *Time Attack, Team Battle,* (should also be playable online this time), *Survival,* and a *Ghost Battle* mode that's combined with the good qualities of Tekken 7's *"Treasure Battle"* mode (what exactly do I mean by this? Well, the new combined mode should keep the random & amped up bosses from Treasure Battle like *Devil Kazuya, Devil Kazumi,* and *Shin Akuma,* but it should also allow you to choose who you wish to fight after every single battle and engage in *Roulette* and *Super Roulette,* just like you could do in Ghost Battle from Tekken 6. And I suppose the chests you get after every battle that's featured in Tekken 7's Treasure Battle should pop up too. The various mini-challenges that would appear in Treasure Battle like *"Turbo Battle"* can be incorporated into it's own little goofy mode, which would be akin to something like the *"Special Smash"* mode in *2018's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.,* for instance), and a more in-depth *Arcade Mode* like the past Tekken's showcased, like the length of it being *9/10* battles, all characters having their own unique Arcade Mode routes (for instance, *Lars* should face characters like *Lee, Alisa, Kazuya,* and *Jin* in his own arcade route on certain stages), and a *Secret/Hidden Boss* in-between that you'd encounter under certain conditions (like how you would encounter *NANCY-MI847J* and *Golden Azazel* within the Arcade Mode under certain conditions within Tekken 6). This is all to make Tekken 8 a more complete package, offline-wise.
the song yes; the customization technique no the creativity and diversity person in outfits yes; I feel if Tekken 6 and Tag 2 were combined in the customization department, it would be unmatched
0:33 Would've never guessed that this is Dr. Bosconovitch, only his voice can tell you who he is. On the side note, Zafina will never get such revealing outfits like 1:13 again. It has to do something with religion or smth like that, since she doesn't get any swimsuit outfits in T7
Rather funny for this video to start off with Kazuya, fiery background behind him, just calling the viewer pitiful. No intro or greeting before he insults you... which feels very in-character. 0:17 - Lili's dress has a bit of a mind of it's own here. 0:34 - Well I'm definitely trembling, that is rather horrifying. It looked comically cute at first and then the mouth opened up and nope! 1:26 - The little nose wiggle of Kuma's was adorable. Happy to see him have so much fun in his samurai armour. 1:51 - Sebastian is looking stylish! He wanted to make his one playable appearance count.
