So if it wasn't for Mortal Kombat we wouldn't have a rating system to begin with if that doesn't tell you that Ed Boon is an iconic part of history and he should be in our history books

MK3 was not a let down at all, it was the best of the series....

And to think that in one way or another, This shit is still going on to this day!

Deadly alliance had a good story . Killing Liu Kang sucked how ever it took those steps and made an amazing sequel called deception . Deception was really good and 5xs better than deadly alliance .Mortal kombat 9 was arguably the best in the series . It was amazing .

I enjoyed shaolin monks alot. Free roam MK II. Awesome

For me UMK3 was the best out of all of 2D MK games. MK3 was disappointing because the lack of the mask ninjas and poor finisher moves. Combo moves and the run button made the game more fun and challenging but that's just my opinion.

MK2 is my favorite MK of all time!

Mortal kombat 2 is the best ever to me.

I didnt get into MK untill the sequel came out, i was still too much of streetfighter fan but it eventually won me over :D

I remember back in the day, during the 90s. The SNES vs Sega war that SNES ultimately won. With MK 1 the sega g had the edge, sold more than the SNES mk 1. However, once MK 2 and 3 hit. Nintendo was like "yeah let's have it exactly like the arcade" and the SNES just destroyed the Sega versions lol. Long live MK.

Mk4 for the n64 was the tits, I played since mk1, and I was blown away by the 3d.

Yea bro Armageddon was awesome! The fatality engine was lame but besides that it was one of the best. You could make Capt. Morgan!

...No Armagaddon's Konquest mode was a clearly rushed attempt at introducing and following a completely new character out of the blue and tries too quickly to get to the events of the game while completely screwing over the poster boy of the series Deception's Konquest actually provided the most character development for any number of characters the series has ever seen aside from Shujinko and there's actual genuine wonder and exploration to be had.

After watchin' MKSecrets version of the history run of the franchise...this feels very...ehh... I don't think the guys at G4 knew all that much about MK. I understand there's a time constraint here, but they actually got some things mixed up with the timeline. Defenders of the Realm didn't come till AFTER Trilogy, a ways off from MK3. MK4 and Mythologies were developed simultaneously by two teams to connect each other. Plus they left out Conquest as well
