@franchino 88 care to tell me how many STREET FIGHTER 1 arcade cabinets are laying around and how Street Fighter 1 is highly remembered. Lets be honest, Street Fighter 2 is just a cash grabbing one hit wonder. Street Fighter 2 is still being re-released for fucks sakes. It was released for the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Hell they even made a 2017 SNES red cart rerelease. Its an OVERRATED game.

I've played MK9 and MKX. I've only gotten into this series recently... But god damned the lore Ed has created for such a simple fighting game is hella interesting...
The controversy over Mortal Kombat was uncalled for. People who don't even play video games shouldn't say things like "This game will corrupt the minds of the kids" when this game wasn't even made for that demographic. So I'm glad they created the ESRB and thank goodness it took games like Mortal Kombat to finally become aware of the content in a video game.
I dunno...MK1 was most certainly groundbreaking and cutting edge for it's time - but MK2 took all the best elements of MK1, and amplified the hell out of them. Improved graphics and sound, more characters, more blood, and of course more finishing moves. MK1 will always be a classic - but anytime I think of MK, I always immediately think of MK2.
Hopefully we get more 3D era MK characters in the next Kombat pack on MK 11. But for sure on the next Mortal Kombat we need more 3D era characters and more focus with the 3D era. What took MK to the next level.
They are doing such a great job with the newest games 💯 I own the MK Arcade Kollection Ps3 and MK 9 Komplete Edition and MK XL they are also killin it with the injustice games too
I'm glad midway gave them a chance . Who ever advices them to tell them they needed a female was an brilliant idea . I'm forever someone who loves old and new school but video games back than had a more touchy feel to it . Now ways online completely killed good storylines and friends coming over
The ideas were pretty great, but you have to remember that they were working with the original PlayStation. The ideas he had were way ahead of their time, too much in fact. He hyped the game up to the third degree and then just left. I dunno :/ I think it sucks that he works at Zynga

Fast forward to 2017 (MK10): Kickass game, awesome sexual, but horrible online. NRS needs to buy some servers (since they've never actually owned any) or SFV will take over.
spartan9199 Obviously, I was wording my comment in jest to show how even years after your comment, the issue is still an issue, but to be fair, the net-code is _slightly_ improved in MKX, but with how much money NRS (or especially WB Games) makes, they really could afford to buy some damn servers instead of counting on your internet connection and my internet connection to facilitate a stable match between us. A game that's played in a rather seriously competitive manner all across the country/world really needs servers. I know stuff's not free, but I'd gladly pay $64.99 instead of $59.99 for MK11 if Warner Bros or NetherRealm would buy some servers (at least for ranked matches). I'd think many others would feel the same

How ironic they were trying to stop games bc they're "destroying the youth" and they failed lol . Proves the only stuff that the people want , respect and love stays.
