What is borderline personality disorder? How does one get borderline personality disorder? Research on bias in cognitive empathy showed that although borderline patients generally are able to make complex intentional assignments about others, they show malevolent biases. In addition, it was suggested that their evaluation of others is generally more extreme in that they idealize you and then imagine you have bad intentions.

As someone who’s been diagnosed with this disorder by several different doctors, I just want to say that this videos is truly an accurate crash course on BPD. Although that’s also very embarrassing for me to admit**, since I also just watched the video… but everything she said is pretty spot on. Living with this is a nightmare and it’s feels hopeless sometimes.. but it’s NOT! I try to stay mindful of how it effects everyone around me. If you or a loved one is showing symptoms please go to or encourage them to seek help and therapy. This video is a perfect “introduction” to BPD without throwing too much information at you to confuse you but also getting to the very important parts of the disorder. **I DO feel embarrassed when I have to tell someone a few weeks into a relationship that I have a personality disorder. Or try to explain to my friends why I blew up and just kicked everyone out after we were all having such a great time. It is confusing and embarrassing. There’s already enough stigma surrounding this disorder. I don’t want to see people glorifying it like having a personality disorder is a trend or something.

Just sit there to contemplate it all after you come back because you're gonna see such crazy and radical things in these trips. That when you come back you're gonna be like what the fuck was that? And you're gonna spend a week just in the shower, what the fuck was that? Cooking your food, what the fuck was that? Driving to work, what the fuck was that? Sitting at work doing your work, what the fuck was that? Thinking that. Trying to wrap your mind around it. Try to remember and trying to figure it out and that's a very valuable process.

How about a borderline who no longer fears being abandoned but knows that everyone is more or less out for themselves and will drop you at any moment and there is no such thing as a true commitment among personal relationships. I bet on the abandonment but since I have been alone almost forever, I would just say that I hate being alone and how being alone has affected me and my outlook on life and has resulted in pornography addiction and other negative destructive qualities because I don't have anyone in my life who I feel truly cares.
