I got sent a large lot of British King Edward VII stamps from a viewer, John from England, and needed to fold them into what I already had. When starting that I recalled I was still lacking some key information about how to distinguish the types of these stamps. I already did a video about wrestling with these stamps. With the stamps John sent, I had enough to really dive deep into the various types, looking at hundreds of copies to see if I could find some patterns that would make identification more positive. Let’s just say, I was not encouraged by what I found.
I’ve put up a blog entry with details of my work. If you want to dive even deeper, that blog entry is for you. It’s important to me that I share what I’ve learned openly, since I have found so little information publicly available. Frankly, I’ve found precious little information even in non-public sources.
