In addition to this, "The Woman" from the barn in Hell Bent was later said by Stephen Moffat to also be his mother, I theorize it's Tectaune since that's the only parental figure the Doctor would have had. I think it's really cool how Chibnall took something being teased for so long and added to it!

I guess the only thing to safely assume is that The Master manipulated & embellished all that to hurt The Doctor, after all he a) does (mostly) hate her with a passion, b) is the most cunning & deceitful character in the whole show and c) is extremely determined to break her in some way or another, so to me the only way we’d know the real truth behind the timeless child is if either The Doctor actually set out to find Tecteun or found some sort of way to reverse the damage The Master did to Gallifrey and bring back the time lords so they can explain to her anything The Master might have possibly left out and/or lied about

Is it ever stated if Susan was born naturally or loomed? If not and she's part of the chibokans and is a child born post pyrithion curse and adding the timeless child DNA into the mix the doctor could have passed on regenerations To his daughter etc and to Susan and she's yet to regenerate still in her 1st incarnation we may never get a definitive answer on the show it's self it's certainly interesting to think about.

I've not read the wilderness years myself not really a book person if that's true about susan being Rassilons daughter it could add to the fued between the doctor and rassilon he finds out the doctor raised his child and says the doctor has curropted her from her true destiny of ruling gallifrey by any means just like rassilon himself an evil susan.

@@TheConman761 It does make sense, Susan left the Tardis at the end of Daleks invasion of Earth to stay on Earth and as the life expectancy of a timelord/timelady is slightly longer than that of an Earthling barring regeneration and as Susan stated her favourite time period was the 1960's she would either go back to that time or more likely the Timelords would bring her home as they have recalled timelords at various times for the Election of Lord President (about 3 or 4 times), Romana stayed in E space to avoid going home and as the Doctor himself said it was EXTREMELY difficult to get back into E space it would be highly unlikely it was Romana, Why would a nanny be involved with the High council of Timelords that makes less sense.

Interesting theory - though to be fair I think they mention The End of Time story in Day of The Doctor. When they’re walking into the war council, they say something like “The High Council has gone into seclusion” - which I took to mean that the part of TEOT where Gallifrey is transported next to Earth happens whilst the Doctors are in Tudor England & making the Zygon-Human treaty etc. Then the Doctors go and save gallifrey after that’s happened. Other than that, I agree - and if I am correct then it’ll help your theory bc I’d assume most Time Lords would be horrified at what Rassilon wanted to do.

Interesting, but what would happen to the tardis then? Because this would imply that the doctor fixed the chemelion circuit and it aperred as the rip in dimensions. But what happens after that?

I think it’s someone that the doctor hates simply because the doctor looked at the woman and the woman was a contributing factor as to why he sent the timelords back I mean look at the way he looked at her That’s more than a friendship...

Maybe it is leela and somehow she's also the doctor's biological mother who sent her child back in time to become the timeless child. Which would also make the doctor half-human as well.

So the doctor's companion ends up being his own mother and he's responsible for his own creation due to timey wimey grandfather paradox stuff.

@@NeroLeMorte well Rassilon was said to have discovered regeneration. Maybe this was in respect of discovering the true origin of it through relentless experiments with time travel and the Vortex before discovering that the vortex actually mutated an individuals DNA to have regenerative properties. Of course he wasn’t happy having the success of the regeneration just take from somewhere else, he wanted to discover where it originated. After this, he was said to have limited the amount of regeneration available to Time-lords and offering himself unlimited. However, the Master refers to Tectuen as “he” during that sequence where we see the black Time-lord in the white robes greet two other time-lords and the Master says they named themselves with “characteristical bombosity’s - Time-lords”. When referring to Tecteun as “he” the Master says “he restricted the regenerative process to a limit of 12 times”. So my guess is, Tecteun became Rassilon, she was clearly an intelligent engineer as Rassilon is said to be as she discovered space travel before finding the TC. I can imagine he then wanted to eradicate this knowledge from history for the sake of a commendable history. The reason Rassilon grew to resent the Doctor would be because he ran away and stole a TARDIS, going rogue just like he hoped he wouldn’t have done or would’ve been better.

@@drd2121 another fan theory could make Tecteun "the Other" another time lord who founded galifrey alongside rassilon and omega. But who knows after the timeless child retcon I guess anything is up in the air. Perhaps when russel t. Davies takes over for the next doctor's season he could bring back the woman from the end maybe fleshed out on her identity and backstory.

@@NeroLeMorte I’m also hoping that the Doctor either isn’t the TC altogether via parallel universe theory or best worst case scenario, the Doctor isn’t the TC, she merely has a strong telepathic connection with the individual as a result of being born with DNA from the TC infused with herself and several others. Why did the Time-lords do this? Oh I don’t fking know. But yes, Tecteun being the other also makes a lot of sense without further disrespecting characters like Rassilon and Omega. Rassilon could’ve still been the one to discover where regeneration originated from (the Vortex). And therefore became capable of controlling it.

I had the same idea about Donna. At the end of the episode when Wilf asked who the woman in white was and the dr looked at Donna who was dressed in a white wedding dress. Also how crazy would it be if Donna was actually the doctor's mother? in the tv movie, it was mentioned that the dr is half-human on his mother's side. And with the meta crisis who knows how much it really affected her. Perhaps when the war started she somehow was brought to Gallifrey. I guess sadly we may never truly know.

You may have missed my other reply in list when you authored your response. It shares even more of your opinions. I’ll reprint it here for ease of access. Dr Who is awesome!! Who is the mysterious woman who approaches Wilfred with a mission, who appears with the time lords? My opinion is that there is only one possibility. It is Donna Noble. One presumes at some point she dies after the doctor erases her memory of time lord powers. She regenerates and can now handle the power of a time lord. She can travel where she wishes. Some argue she is the mother of the Doctor. Anything is possible. She returns to see her grandfather, paradoxes be damned. Help the Doctor, save her grandfather, stop the return of Gallifrey and the Master. Remember how intelligent Donna was when she became the “Doctor Donna”? Smarter than even Doctor Who. She could probably build a rift manipulator, possibly even a Tardis after her regeneration. In the original series it was stated the Doctor had a human mother from earth. It could be argued Donna was at least of human origin. Now throw in she was never sexually attracted to the Doctor, making her dang near the only associate who never was. Maybe she somehow knew he was her son. Next, how does she refer to the Doctor when she is dominating the Daleks and Davros? She calls him “Time Boy”. Now doesn’t that just sound like a term of affection and nickname a mother might have for her son? Now, I am going to play with the timeline a bit. Perhaps the Doctor didn’t ultimately empower her with Time Lord powers thru his hand. Maybe she deliberately entered his realm using one of those pocket watch devices to make her appear human. She came to rescue him from any one or several challenges. Pick your path from here. She was still genetically human when given Time Lord powers in journeys end, which may have been incompatible, forcing the Doctor to remove those powers. (Or I have, let’s call it absolutely impossible so by saying it I won’t make it true, the concept that Tennant was so covetous of his power he did not want to share). Ok, now where do we go? Release from the pocket watch? Regeneration after human death after Journey’s End? Visit from her fairy god mother? LOL Or maybe Rose, or Clara, or who the F... ever waking her up to her real identity? Take your pick. Mama bear wakes up and surveys the playfield. I reckon the doctors daughter done something which went against his morals or which he disagreed with, maybe being one of the reasons he ran away with Susan, to keep her safe from her mum. When he saw her in the end of time I reckon he was reminded of how dangerous the time lords can be so sent them back

@dr103 ok , but is the Doctor a Gallifreyan or Sheboigan or whatever Chinball wants to call them now? In the new canon is Hartnell the first Doctor? I hope the parallel theory is true and this story gets retconned. It makes more sense to have the Master be the timeless child imo. dr103 if you like the new era of Doctor Who than good for you , I'm not liking it so I'll stick to older Who and the stuff I have on dvd. And before I'm accused of being an "ism" or whatever the new buzz word is just don't. I've no problem with a female Doctor or Black Doctor but they've made the Doctor essentially a God. Unless they make the story cyclical and the Timeless Child is really the last baby from Gallifrey rescued by the Doctor at the "final ending of time and everything" the Doctor infuses the child with every bit of energy in their body and the TARDIS takes them to a strange but familiar planet and as the TARDIS "dies" it opens a portal from this "end of time" to the beginning of "known time" and the Doctor sends the child through. Then the Doctor and everything ceases to exist. The show is over , fade to black then white then you see the Gallifrey Citadel and see a regeneration egin happening in a closed room and the council asking "will they remember Who they are?" The camera closes in and you see the new actor playing the Doctor. Now you can have an endless series of pre Hartnell Doctors. But this is just dumb fanfic The only thing that they managed to do is get rid the 13 regeneration limit but this is just my opinion.
