All of this footage was shot today. So this gameplay isn't like I recorded for a week and only posted the gameplay; this is to emphasize how you should use her from game to game. With practice you'll be consistent with her. For reference, I do consider her better than the thief.
Chaotic Space Man i agree about the good ping part, lol. I first played in N/A and got 200-500+ ping all the times, the hunter even hit me when he across the map TWICE! The hunter didn’t hack because my friends kiting him fine. Then I changed to Asia server and got about 60-100 ping, never the first one to die and make the hunter tunnel me for 3 ciphers XD
@@thaonguyentran7859 when I played in the NA/EU server, I always got 200(if it was a good night) to 997 mbps (disconnected). After switching to the Asian server, I get 89 at the lowest and 500 at the highest on average. Now with the new update, I'm always above 200 mbps and keep getting disconnected. Heck, I can't even open the game because I can't connect to the server lolz
I just recently got perfumer and EVERY SINGLE ROUND I accidentally use a perfume because my finger clicks it without me realizing. 🤦♀️ It’s so frustrating.
The perfumer is a really good character to trick the hunter with, but there is still the fact when you spray the perfume some of the hunters still stay at the form and wait for you to go back to it, so that sucks
Hey, Perswayable, just wanted to say your videos are a huge help, specially for people new to the game or still learning it, keep on the good content, I'm hoping you can make guides, or at least good gameplays with all the characters to further learn how to play them.
One my favorite survivor is the Priestess and I play her with two different styles: kite or hide while placing portals and healing teammates. Whenever I feel like kiting because of the lack of kiting survivors, I use the talents you use in this video, but when I play hide & heal I get “Spectator” on Tranquility then either the borrowed time from Friendliness or just max out Persistence tree. I really like priestess because of her ability to infinite loop out of places where there are no pallets especially when the hunter doesn’t destroy the portals. My other favorites are: Doctor, Coordinator, and Perfumer and I play all them as kiters and rescuers (for doctor I play healer as well).
Im a perfumer main and I’ve mastered the use of the perfume, how and when to use. And let me tell you, its pretty OP in a lot of situations. I even learned how to use the perfume against detention. Perfumer is better than magician in my opinion due to her ability to completely “ignore” a hit.
I started maining perf when her bday came, I went to gacha something from the essences, and then I got a B tier skin (Fragrance Queen) I thought that I'd use her for a couple matches, and realized she was rlly fun to use. I ended up buying her since I had enough clues and wasn't really saving up for anyone 😅 Tysm for this tutorial, I definitely got better at playing perf, so it wasn't a waste
Also like the clowns dash, if your up against a disciple and you have a cat on you, if you spray the perfume and wait for her to jump then go back 👌 fantastic no stun
In addition to the detention trick, Id add one more on top of that and its when u jump from high positions like the ship or 2nd floor hospital and teleporting back on top after the hunter jumped down behind you ^^
Oh wow, I suddenly got better st using her! Thanks! I used to be either the first or second to get caught, but now I've improved my kiting with her! The easiest to counter with Perfumer to me is Geisha btw
I am still rather new to identity v and your videos have helped me so much. Thank you for what you teach and do. I am saving up so I can get perfumer. This made me want to get her even more. Love your vids man and can't wait for more!
I have small fingers so I use claw, or whatever its called, its basically 3 fingers on both, so I can often perfume right before he hits me, basically use it when hes swinging
i think doctor and magician are the best characters to learn kiting (it was for me anyways). Doctor is a free character and can heal themselves unlimited amount of times, so I feel like that's pretty self explanatory why she's good for learning. If you master the character, you can even heal yourself whilst the hunter is still chasing you. Magician is also good because his skills are straightforward - illusion, then run. He also only has 2 illusions which means you're not dependent no the skill to get away and can actually learn kiting and not die after 10 seconds. I am by no means a top player but these characters really helped me, i would recommend them for any beginning player.
I actually got the perfumer today, and as weird as it is for me to admit, I think I'm improving on my kiting skills as well because I'm fooling the hunters like crazy. Although from watching this video, I actually did see some good moments on where to use the perfume, like with the clown charging. Awesome video!
I love perfumer , you are right about her being early game as her perfume maybe won't do much for one shot hunters , unlike magicians who can get away as they have small burst of speed to get away
I bought her when she barely came out and i didnt know how to use her correctly so i searched it up and now im used to using her and thank you cuz u showed me a new trick to use her:)

Awesome guide, now i feel much way better of gettin her. I’m not at all conservative on the use of the perfume so i’m on the right track =) thx... the only thing o found some times is when i want to backtrack the action doesn’t respond
Either way, you can still get away whether the hunter waits for you to come back or not. If you spray and the hunter waits for you, then just don’t go back to your body and run.
As a geisha main myself I will say that hugging technique is a really good counter. I can vouch about the whole font walk away from the pallet because if I see them do that I will just dash at them if it’s up. Although I will always instantly destroy a pallet if they decide to hug it. But I don’t know if this is a bad thing to do? I mean I never think of it as a bad thing mainly because I have really fast pallet destruction speed so it’s not like the survivor can get to far away if they start running and especially considering I would have the dash up and ready.
If they put a little distance between themselves and the pallet but still stares at you, you can still dash through the pallet by turning the direction Geisha is facing. It's a important trick on her. In general don't be hesitant to destroy pallets, unless you have them confined in an area you can try to trick them into vaulting the pallet and hit them on the other side.
You should do character and hunter match up videos! I kind of want to know which characters perform the best against specific hunters in a ranked/high tier setting. I think that would get a lot of views too! Great vids btw Ive watched almost all of em :)
I definitely don't consider her better than theif or the magician. Considering I have lag on maps like lakeside when I try to hit a perfect or even a normal calibration and it is delayed and It misses
Cowboy is too easy to kite with,When the hunter is close,you might have to use an ability,because you can die really easily,If your the cowboy,you have to jump over the hunter,You can avoid his range attack or rocket dash,Perfumer,You have to use the ability to rescue someone,so you auto-heal,and you also don’t get terror shocked when you are about to rescue someone,Magician,Since this is a kinda cheap character,You will have to use your ability at the right time,because if you use it at the wrong time,you will be terror shocked,And if you use the ability and their is cross flying above you,it’s gonna be a 85% chance you will die immediately.And as Seer,you need to protect yourself with the bird,and then immediately go in front of the hunter,so He hits the bird,and he recovers,so you get some distance away from him/her.Mercenary,so you have to go onto the wall when the hunter is range attacking you,so a 35% chance you will get wounded,you also have to use it when you immediately fall down a hole,that’s because the hunter takes longer to get down,so you escape more quicker.Thief,You also have to stare at the hunter and use your flashlight,because they will keep moving around,to avoid getting dazed,so it will take longer for them to catch you.Gardener,when someone is getting tied up on a balloon,leave the dismantled rocket chair on 99%,so they think it still works,when the hunter comes with the survivor tied up,it will take a second for you to dismantle,so then the tied up survivor will struggle free. Thx bro. Your video has tons of tricks i need to learn. One of the saddest parts for me is you are playing with about 50 pings. In my location there is always around 400-500 pings although i have good internet connection.

when i play her i always do that perfume > hit > save > back to perfume. the flaw is only with a patience hunter who knows you need to get hit before your perfume time runs out
Nowadays most hunter know that rescuers wait until get hit before rescuing so that strat would be pretty much be a wasted effort. You're lucky if you found a camping hunter who actually hit you before rescuing.
The thing with mercenaries though is that smart hunters know to leave them alone, since they decode rather slowly, and excel at kiting, they're very low on the priority list.

Me being really indecisive and not knowing what survivor to get since I just play doctor and gardener a lot Edit: I just bought purfumer since idk I was like "just buy it learn how to use it JUST BUY IT OML so I did and all I gotta say is that purfumer probably said this when I bought her "you got a big storm coming"
I bought her yesterday after i watching this vid and i keep repeat it since perfumer is very good and fit me since my networking is really awfull so it help me escape from hunter but still your vids is helping noob player like me :)
The one you rescued must be a good player. I hate it when I rescue someone and they like just randomly run to whoever the hell knows where and for what. One rescue wasted :(
Thank you so much for this video! I felt like I was having a hard time playing her but after watching this video, I feel more confident. I do have one question though, does the perfume not work when the hunter has detention? I’ve found it didn’t work for me, and for you in this video but I’ve witnessed a perfumer being able to use it when the hunter had detention so I’m just a little confused.
I remember buying her and not knowing wtf Im doing, still yet Idk what Im doing but the time I felt good using her was when gamekeeper threw his hook and I sprayed before then and traveled back before he hit me.
I'm better at kiting lol. Also idk if he brought this up as I just clicked on the vid, but you can set up a euphoria at full health, save a teammate after getting hit, and then teleport back. Boom. Full health and old positioning.
