How you manage to make the corvette slower than the Frigate? The FDI is already only 27 knots. Also how the 2m extra width help in any way? All gowind designs proposed are lighter than the Sigma or FCX30 corvettes.
Que buena nave para la Armada Argentina, bien equipada, con poco personal relativo, y con costos asequibles para nosotros. Parece que no tiene motores ingleses.
The problem of this ship against the competition is the MICA missile. The Italians offer a corvette that is armed with the CAMM-ER missile which is newer and is considered much better than the MICA. The MICA-NG is still under development and it will take time to enter service.
@@Fred-vy1hm On principle, you are correct. The thing with French ships is that they have their own CMS, the SETIS. Any VLS and any weapon system that is integrated to the ship, must be certified to work with SETIS. Think it like having drivers for the ship’s operating system. In order for it to have this drivers, either the weapon manufacturer, or the French builder Naval Group or the customer must PAY for it and accept that it will take time to have it certified. The Hellenic Navy asked for the Strales gun system in the FDI frigates but because of the reasons mentioned above, it didn’t include it in the order.

I don't get it why malaysia favor this ship. it cost 560 million US dollars per ship. from 6 ships to 5 ships. with growing inflation and labor cost, I think building it locally may have favor the local builders but in the long run, delays and corruption will consume those funds until 4 to 3 ships will be left.
